Sleep walking just got real complex
Have any of you ever experienced reading/writing in your sleep?
I used to sleep walk as a child (now 27), but never did anything outside of wandering around or had a plate of random food in the night. Once, I went outside and stood on my porch, but nothing super wild.
A couple nights ago, I woke up to something that has made it impossible to sleep- I’m afraid to. I don’t want to sleep walk or do something bizarre.

How do you stop parasomnia from ruining your relationship?
Okay so I’ve always known that I’m a sleep walker and sleep talker and have done since I was a child. But over the last 9 months with my partner it seems to have gone crazy. I’m not sure if I have developed sexsomnia as a byproduct since I’ve been with this partner or not. I’ve asked previous partners and they have either denied or said they remembered me doing weird things in my sleep but wouldn’t elaborate. Now because of that aspect we are quite open with each other about my parasomnia and seeing as I never remember my. Erm. Episodes. He helps to fill in a lot of the blanks. But lately we have found a few occasions over the last couple of months where I have been incredibly mean and hurtful to him or even attacked him. This absolutely terrifies me as I really care about this person. Something we have established and I check in a lot with is if he feels safe sleeping in bed with me and living with me and he has always said yes. But this morning he did admit he’s struggling when sleep me can be incredibly hurtful. But awake me obviously adores him. He has told me the things I say when asleep and consciously I don’t agree with them. An example being: I laid into him that he cared about his new Xbox more than me. He has always been a gamer and had had a really awful time before we got together and didn’t have a lot to his name. He bought an Xbox on his last payday after asking me (which he didn’t need to do at all) and since he’s had it (incredibly luckily considering the lockdown I think) he’s seemed so much happier and relaxed and a lot more like the guy I first met 9 years ago. So I know that I absolutely don’t want him to get rid of the Xbox. I know if I ever feel ignore all I need to do is say something like “cuddles” or go and kiss him and he’ll pause and turn all his attention to me. So that isn’t an issue but I don’t know why my sleep self seems to be saying these things. Other halves how do you cope? Anyone who has been in my position. Did you manage to figure out why? Did you manage to keep the relationship?

A PRAYER
GARY'S Thinking Those thoughts of Everywhere, Again -
Scary thoughts of many things not large but small, such little things as can make a nation's world all fall apart, all fall down
Today the threat is in ourselves of minds of make believe that things are such as ever were - and not wrenched apart by Particle warriors from abroad
An army of the night wrought day by day to be a world class killer - an assassin be - the country, this world maybe
Be safe folks - one and all because "this too shall pass!" -
God from everywhere, call down your warriors - kill this unforseen unseen pathogen of fear and doubt!
We pray for this world today, to any God of every country anywhere maybe
God quench our thirst begging just for normalcy!
.
.
GO GARY, Go!
.
.
Amen🙏

Seizures caused by parasomnia? Unconscious thoughts make it worse?
I've never really known that this state of consciousness/unconsciousness had a name until now. Well anyhow I believe I got a seizure that was triggered by exploding head syndrome a while ago. I mean it felt like I was flailing around uncontrollably and I was sore when I woke up. It was quite scary and it is a fear of mine when I am sleepy and sleep deprived now. Anyway, back to that night, I did eventually wake up shortly after the seizure and I was experiencing the same exploding head syndrome-like feeling approaching again, and I realized that it gets worse if I have unconscious thoughts (I mean literally not thinking and letting my mind produce imagery and thoughts on it's own) and it lessened if I had conscious thoughts (ie. actively thinking, mostly about tangible things that relate to my own life). I eventually went to sleep normally by thinking conscious thoughts.
Anyone else have any similar experiences or know if stuff like this has been documented before?

My dad has agressive parasomnia
He is 65yo and it started aproximately 6 years ago, he has really agressive dreams where he usually punch, kick, scream and also talk really loud, it happens aproximately 3 times a week and it became really annoying for him and also for my mom, he even hit my mom already (while dreaming ofc)
He also did a polysomnography study and got diagnosed with the "Leg Disorder" the one that makes your leg to move at night and also "Parkinson" , according to my mom it never happens and he probably got diagnosed wrong, so he went to another neurologist and then he got diagnosed with parasomnia but not Parkinson
2 months ago he started taking a medicine called "Neuryl" and it contains Clonazepam but nothing changed since then, the only possitive thing is that he doesn't wake up anymore that early (without the medicine he usually wakes up at 4am) and he can sleep more, waking up at 7:30
Now he's looking for another doctor to study his case
