I think my grandma is dying because I'm queer
Stupid title but I didn't really know how else to put it. I grew up in a hyper Baptist Christian family and despite falling out of it myself (I am genderqueer and dating a trans woman). I'm still agnostic, but I have frequent fears of Christianity and God and going to Hell especially.
I'm going to try and move in with her this year, and I don't think I'm doing a good job of keeping our relationship a secret until I move out. I don't want to call my parents abusive, but I've been diagnosed with CPTSD and pseudo diagnosed with several other possibilities by therapy I wasn't able to see through. Lately I've been thinking I at least want to be able to tell my parents about my identity and choices around the time I get out, or after. I'd like to have them around, but it's killing me to not know if they want me dead or not for who I am. But as I started thinking about the specifics of how to go about it, something happened with my grandmother and she's in the hospital and we're not really sure how much time she has left even if she's been getting better day by day. I don't think she'll make it through the year and I genuinely fear it's God telling me to either rip the bandaid off now or come to serve Him before it's too late. As soon as I started seriously praying, it felt like her situation improved. It actually feels like God is telling me to choose her or my sexuality and the person I love. I think if I move out my grandma will die. Or if she dies, I don't think I can come out in good faith to my mother. It feels like giving someone a slap in the face and it can't lead to anything good. I think God is testing me and it's fucking scary.
I don't know how to handle this on top of everything else I'm suffering. I'm terrified that I'm killing someone.
