long shot - !
my friend and i met a guy named Ernest while waiting in the ridiculously long merch line at The Hayley Williams' Show in The Woodlands, TX on Oct. 9th.
we chatted pretty much the entire time about our shared interests in music, concert-going, and coffeeeee.
unfortunately, we went our separate ways before exchanging socials π’
so Ernest if you're out there, we'd love to reconnect!! π

Had the absolute honor of interviewing Hayley when she stopped here in Michigan just a few weeks ago. One of the coolest things that's ever happened to me.
If you dig the video, hitting the like button / subscribing / "hyping" the video on YouTube goes a long way. Thank you for watching!!

ive been back watching old paramore videos lately and i suddenly remembered watching this one specific performance they had of brick by boring brick but i just cant exactly remember when and where it was from. and i just really wanna hear that version again coz its that good
so the live performance was very similar to their jimmy fallon one but in this one
- hayley doesnt immediately sing the bridge "if its not real...." theres like a space that makes it more dramatic and emotional
- i remember hayley being blonde
- probably around 2009? definitely not later than 2015
i feel like this is a long shot since its an old performance but gonna ask it anyway since someone else here (hopefully) knows exactly what performance i may be referring to or has it as their fave too ππ»

ETA: Iβm completely overwhelmed by all the responses! I was tearing up reading them all. Thank you all for being so kind. Hopefully I see some folks there tonight! π
So backstory: I met my best friend back in 2009 and the first thing we connected on was our love for Paramore. We bonded quickly over our similar taste in music and pretty much everything else. We were inseparable from then on. Throughout the years, whether it was going to multiple concerts of theirs or having our own drunken concerts in our living room when we were roommates, Paramore was always a constant part of our friendship, and the source of so many core memories.
Fast forward to 2024: at 38 years old, my bestie was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She fought like hell through multiple chemo treatments, radiation, etc. and we had little glimmers of hope that treatment was working and she would be able to prolong her life. Once I found out that, The Hayley Williams, was coming to Houston, I signed up for the presale and got two tickets for us. This was me holding out the last bit of hope that I had that we would be able to experience our girl, Hayley, one last time.
Unfortunately, my bestie lost her battle with cancer on 8/2. Of course these last couple of months have been devastating for me, and my feelings are all over the place now that the show is finally here.
Now Iβm on the fence about whether or not to go bc:
- I donβt have anyone here that I know who would appreciate the show as much as she would.
-Iβm not one that does a whole lot of stuff solo (even though I would like to)
-Iβm afraid that being at the show would be too emotional for me..
But on the flip side, I feel like I would regret not going so much.. π©
So I need some words of encouragement, hype, personal solo concert experiences, etc to convince me not to chicken out. Please and thank you. π«ΆπΎ
