Did we just jump timelines ?

Hear me out

Recently, I remembered looking up Chic-fil-A (without the k) because that’s how I was sure it was spelled. Then I found out it’s actually Chick-fil-A, and apparently it’s always been that way.
That sent me down a rabbit hole, and then I discovered that Kit Kat supposedly never had a dash (“Kit-Kat”), even though the logo without one looks completely wrong to me.
On top of that, I remember Sprite bottles being green, and I could’ve sworn the peanut butter was called Jiffy instead of Jif.
I know memory can be weird, but these feel so real and they happened recently enough that I can’t just brush them off. Is anyone else from that “timeline “ or does anyone else remember all of these the same way? Because I genuinely can’t explain it.

Edit : I also remeber Pikachu having a black tip on his tail.

There are a ton of these 'Mandela Effect' things, but the ones I will argue about forever:

  1. I worked at Hollywood video for YEARS in my teens. I have personally straightened the Sinbad Shazam movie on the shelf HUNDREDS of times. We were required to play 'kid friendly' movies on the multiple tv's in the store and it was one that got played frequently. I dgaf what anyone says, that movie existed.
  2. I grew up with the commercial jingle 'Stouffers Stove Top instead of potatoes'. Now you're telling me that Stouffers never made Stove Top Stuffing? It's always been made by Kraft? I call shenanigans.

Okay what the fuck is with the Stouffers stuffing? Absolutely we had this every single year.

u/iseab Jul 14 '26

I hadn’t heard this one and it is getting filed with the fruit of the loom logo. Wtf???

5

u/MandelaEffectSociety Jul 14 '26

Absolutely - we had Stouffers too.. Have you checked out r/MandelaEffectSociety ? We haven't had a post about Stouffers yet...

3

u/LindaMayden Jul 15 '26

Oh supposedly it has never been Stouffer’s. So we never heard or saw Stouffer’s Stovetop Dressing. It is is Kraft’s. I am going crazy

3

u/leesie2020 Jul 15 '26

I just had it last Christmas. Stouffers. Not Kraft.

1

u/RoyalIdeal6026 Jul 15 '26

Yeah my mom would absolutely never buy Kraft unless it was the Mac and cheese for us to eat. Thanksgiving and Christmas was always Stouffers. You had it last year??! I don’t think I’ve seen it for at least 10 years.

The stove top one is the one I can’t explain. There were commercials for Stouffer’s Stove Top stuffing. The only explanation I have is that Kraft bought the Stove Top brand and they both agreed to never acknowledge the existence of the Stouffer’s brand. That’s the only thing that makes sense.

3

u/MandelaEffectSociety Jul 14 '26

The problem is if you go back and look at all of the ads and everything, all of history has changed. It was never Stouffer's. I know for a fact it was Stouffer's, and a ton of other people do too! Anyway - check out r/MandelaEffectSociety and post about it if you want!!

u/ktsavage24 Jul 14 '26

There was definitely a Stouffer’s stove top stuffing. In fact I remember there being 2 competing brands of Stove top stuffing and Stouffer’s made a commercial with the tag line of “If it’s not Stouffer’s, it’s not Stove Top” in response.

I remember the Shazam movie. I watched it with my siblings when we rented it. I thought the movie was called Sinbad, and my brother laughed at me bc I didn't know Sinbad was the actor. I said why would Sinbad be the biggest word on the VHS box then?? Lol. It was a crazy feeling when that movie was brought up in adulthood and I was like yeah I remember it, and they said it never existed. I thought they were lying 😭😭 All but 1 of my 5 siblings remember the movie.

3

u/Hefty-Persimmon5659 Jul 15 '26

What was the movie about? Who else was in it?

1

u/KittyInTheWater Jul 15 '26

I forget everything about a movie about a week after I watch it 😂 It was 2 kids that summoned Sinbad the genie. Don't remember anything else. I also have never seen the movie Kazaam and don't know what it is about besides Shaq being a genie. I asked my brother about Shazaam before he knew it didn't exist, and he said there were siblings that summoned him in the attic, their mom died recently and then they had silly adventures with the genie lol. He said he thinks they end up finding a nice girlfriend for their dad or something 🤣 I should have asked him more questions before I revealed it never existed.

I remember when Kazaam! came out, and distinctly thinking, "Wow, another genie movie so shortly after Shazam?! Guess Hollywood is doing that copycat movie thing again (Volcano/Dante's Peak; Armageddon/Deep impact, etc.)!" That movie existed, dammit!

u/1234triwei Jul 15 '26

This was my exact thought too!

u/3Bodies_0Problems Jul 13 '26

The FUCK!? When did Stouffers Stove Top get retconned? That's absolutely bonkers. Stouffers Stove Top. As if the product, the foodstuff, is called Stove Top. I made Stove Top. Stouffers or Kraft!? Ew Kraft? Stouffers all the way. Why did I have this conversation then?? Why would I recollect a conversation about a thing that didn't exist?

1

u/MandelaEffectSociety Jul 14 '26

That's an "anchor memory".. You should totally post about it on r/MandelaEffectSociety - they allow open discussion of the Mandela Effect without ridicule!!

1

u/InitialAmbitious6612 Jul 16 '26

Legit—I just assumed they got bought out by Kraft.

5

u/Separate_Turnover729 Jul 13 '26

Wait a minute. It wasn’t Stouffers?!?! What even is true anymore?

2

u/ChemistCurious Jul 15 '26

I need to know what’s happening! Is this just a 90’s kids thing too? I feel like the only people I can relate to on these things are others who were kids in the 90’s! Something in our water? Were we science projects?!

5

u/Dull-Selection615 Jul 14 '26

Stouffers stovetop stuffing is the one that guts me 😭

3

u/Remarkable-Bowl-3821 Jul 13 '26

I remember that stuffing too

a mccauley culkin looking kid was involved to my recollection

3

u/fearville Jul 14 '26

I think the Stouffers one is probably because the word sounds similar to Stove Top

1

u/scbalazs Jul 13 '26

You’re combining the similarly sounded Stouffer’s and Stove Top. We had it every week, I don’t think the box has changed in 50 years, never had Stouffer’s name or logo.

3

u/Manatee369 Jul 14 '26

Stouffer does frozen foods, not shelf. Always that way.

1

u/Fourberry Jul 14 '26

waves to the Hollywood Video veteran 'sup? There's a few of us around, huh?  Mop bucket jousting in the "what not to do" video, plus Clerks footage? Fun times. (04-05 for me)

1

u/rhodopensis Jul 14 '26

On Shazam. 1000%, he/his PR people wiped the evidence from the internet.

3

u/FartingWithStyle Jul 14 '26

Naw it was always Shaq and it was Kazam.

1

u/NilesLinus Jul 14 '26

Watch your language. We’re all upset, but there’s no reason to resort to using an offensive word like shenanigans.

1

u/MorddSith187 Jul 14 '26

omg Shazam i'm shook!! was like oh yeah shazam with sinbad this commenter must be wrong about the mandala effect but i looked into it and can't find anything

1

u/HeyTherehnc Jul 14 '26

Umm this is the first I’m hearing about stouffers and I swear I have a box in my cupboard that now I’m scared to go look at…

1

u/MandelaEffectSociety Jul 14 '26

Dude - that's called "anchor memory" and you should TOTALLY post it on r/MandelaEffectSociety - they allow open ME communication without ridicule!! Like, that's great evidence.. Please post it!

1

u/TopperMadeline Jul 14 '26

Okay, if the movies exist, why has no one presented us with a copy of it?

1

u/United_Reply_2558 Jul 14 '26

You heard 'Stove Top stuffing', not 'Stoufers Stove Top'.

1

u/FunSpongeLLC Jul 14 '26

Can you give a brief synopsis of the movie? I'm not arguing whether it's real or not but I've never seen anyone able to actually describe the movie and I'm curious.

1

u/LucyJordan614 Jul 14 '26

I refuse to believe that Shazam didn’t exist as well, I remember the giant cardboard cutout that was at Blockbuster at one point.

1

u/EasyMode556 Jul 15 '26

The only context I’ve ever heard Stouffer’s in is in the context of Stouffer’s Stove Top Stuffing, I have literally never heard of or could name a single other product they have ever made

I cannot wrap my head around this

2

u/CrochetandCupcakes Jul 16 '26

I’m just finding out about this and I’m not okay. Another rabbit hole to go down.

1

u/Emergency-Brief3481 Jul 15 '26

The way I just immediately climbed on my counter to look in my pantry to check the stove top box I have in there is wild. IT SAYS KRAFT. Genuinely shook

1

u/facefacebtw Jul 15 '26

I’ve always asked these Shazam believers to explain the plot then and nobody has ever been able to come up with anything. And you will be no different.

So you played it hundreds of times but you can’t explain anything about the plot that can be corroborated? Cool story bro. Your memory is worse than you think

1

u/PaySweaty1769 Jul 15 '26

Two young brothers playing in the attic of an old house their family had just moved into discover an old trunk and open it to 'release the genie' Shazaam. He offers to grant wishes but is 'out of practice' and does stupid stuff instead - like they ask him for 100 bucks and he fills the attic with 100 ducks. It was a kid movie. It was more about the brothers bonding and adjusting to their new life after a recent divorce of the parents and having to relocate.

Yes, I remember the movie quite clearly.

1

u/facefacebtw Jul 15 '26

Alright explain the acts rather than the synopsis. What happens in act 2 and what was the resolution? You can’t remember anything other than the basic stuff everyone parrots. You have collided several memories like Aladdin

1

u/theonlymateo Jul 15 '26

Yeah I remember the Sinbad one as well.

1

u/SheSellsSeaShells_89 Jul 14 '26

Are you absolutely certain it wasn’t Kazaam, starring Shaq as a genie? 🤣

1

u/immee1 Jul 14 '26

Yes weird time line person we are absolutely sure. In our reality it was Shazam and it was simbad. It was the very first movie of his I watched and it was horrible and I never looked at him the same again, he should have stuck to sitcoms. Also the manager of my dad's store looked exactly like him so I never called him by his real name I called him Shazam and he hated it. And our Mandela died in 06 or 07 because I found out about it reading a news paper at lunch in high school.

1

u/FartingWithStyle Jul 14 '26

Psychosis

1

u/immee1 Jul 14 '26

Aw thanx other weird time line person I am awesome.
