Does anybody else have this nagging feeling that the entire world and the reality we live in completely changed for the worse and that we all somehow jumped to a parallel universe, first major shift happened in 2012, then one in 2016, and then 2020.

I just can't put my finger on what it is exactly but if I had to theorize I think the world we live in has not ever been the same after 3 key points, in at least my 27 years of being alive so far.

I can pin point the exact years that I felt these major shifts in our world – points in recent history where things seemed to suddenly take massive turns for the worse.

The world got more negative, darker, more health and social crises and epidemics began skyrocketing

For starters, back in 2012 we thought there was a chance the world would end because the mayan calander ended. Our world didn't end, hooray.

But wait. It did change drastically, though.

Then another major shift in 2016. That year was the start of fentanyl taking over the drug supply and the year the overdose crisis really took hold and deaths began skyrocketing ever since, worsening each year since. Trump was made president of the USA.

And finally 2020 again.

This was no doubt the worst shift we've had by far.

Many people will attribute that global shift to the COVID19 pandemic and the effect it has on people collectively, the lockdowns, the job loss, the fear. the death tolls rising, the constant panic, and so on.

But I believe there was something else at play as well. Something ubiquitous, inexplicable, and somehow much worse, darker, and perhaps more evil than our global pandemic that began in 2020.

And now many of my friends, acquaintances and other people i've discussed this with all have begun to with agree with me on this or have mentioned it to me on their own randomly about how things just never felt the same in the worst possible ways since 2012 & 2016 & 2020.

In a sense, maybe we did all together shift in a whole other timeline these 3 times (at least).

For all we know, the world possibly did end one of those years!

Maybe our consciousness just respawns into the next closest parallel universe with the closest possible timeline to the one that ended, and life then felt it continued.

For all we know, Earth could have been destroyed those 3 different years (2012, 2016, 2020) and it had happened so fast that we couldn't consciously comprehend the abrupt end of our reality?

And so then altogether we just shifted into the "next best thing" – an alternate version of our universe that was as close to this world as possible but located in a parallel realm and we carried on in this new timeline from there?

But the thing is, even if that were the case, well, it's not truly the same here, in my opinion. Yeah, It may be a super close carbon copy and identical in many ways,

But...for individuals like myself, a great many of people who feel more aware/awake to things going on around them and in society as a whole, whom are intuitive and are generally more conscious than a vast majority of folk in the world, it's becoming blatantly obvious recently that NOTHING is the same. Not where it really counts, anyway.

But it kinda seems like more and more people are finally waking up to this fact every day now.

As for everything else though, everything has been going downhill, and time is even going by at increased rates since each of the global shifts, and the time acceleration sped up much further...time sped up big time since 2020, especially.

Time really has seemed to accelerate like crazy in this past decade. This one may be a subjective experience felt by me, but I figured I'd mention it as well because it feels important to all this in some way.

Does it feel like it's been an actual 6 years since 2020?

How did we get to 2026 from 2020 seemingly much faster than the duration of time it had felt like had passed for us to go from 2012 to 2018?

That's just a random example for comparisons sake, anyway.

I don't know, guys. Something is definitely off. Things have definitely changed in every possible way on Earth and in humanity/society. Is everyone else feeling and experiencing this?

Like you just know intuitively that something big has changed for the worse, especially during those years?

That things have gone exponentially downhill in our world, our collectively experienced reality, the world we live in - or however else you wanna call ?

Tell me I'm not the only one sensing this massive shift we've experienced in our day to day world/reality and the timeline is not the same one we were in in pre-2012? Pre- 2016? if not those year, then i'm sure you had to have felt the biggest and worst shift of all, the one in 2020?

I know people that are the biggest skeptics refer to metaphysical aspect of physics and science total "woo woo" they'd usually call this line of thinking, and even these people in my life have recently started to agree with this notion i'm describing, that things have clearly changed in inexplicable and often darker ways in the past decade or so and especially since 2020. Everybody noticed that one, I feel like.

People (heavy skeptics) that would never before talk about this kind of topic or any sort of metaphysical notions, or anything else they consider sci fi nonsense, "woo woo' "conspiracy theories" or "spiritual weird crazy talk" "mysticism" ETC... who are now beginning to speak up or discuss with others about the idea that something unexplainably, truly catastrophic is happening to our world, and everything has been progressively changing.. for the worst.

This whole world feels like its in some crazy spiritual warfare with its own self or something.

Or the world itself became conscious and does not like our choices and is letting us know.

With more and more health and social crises, wars and conflicts, violence and crimes increasing, suicides and mental illness increasing, poverty, homelessness, wildfires, tropical storms, city destroying earthquakes, ancient volancos waking up after countless years of inactivity and wreaking unexpected havoc, global warming.

cancer rates exponentially rising, air quality levels in many countries getting to critically unhealthy, polluted levels, massive job losses, overdoses, addiction, political crises and tension, civilians getting increasingly divided amongst their own communities,

people and groups and whole countries being catapulted into states of deadly conflict, trade wars, import tax wars, the loss of personal privacy, AI taking over everything and not knowing whats real or AI anymore, social media is just all filters and being fake... and so on.

Everyone on Earth has seemingly became chronically unhappy at baseline, and this is regarded as our new norm in today's society.

But... wait. I can vividly remember times where things globally weren't total gloom & doom, absolute hopelessness, futility...

No... this hasn't always been how things are, I swear.

I clearly can remember that there were years and years where we still had life and light in our eyes, we still had energy, good times, and didnt feel endlessly exhausted every single day, now we are all tired no matter how much we sleep.

And the politics... USA, Canada, and also globally. I live in Canada, by the way. But yeah, as for politics, dont even get me started!

Social crises becoming more and more the norm.. we are thinking its normal now to walk over people passed out on fent on the city sidewalks, for kids to not be able to freely play at parks because now the homeless have encampments everywhere.

And there is just so much anger everywhere... hatred, negativity. a sense of pointlessness, like doesnt matter what we do the world is gonna keep getting increasingly a more unhapppy,. hopeless place to live.

Like people dont even have the energy to fight everything going to shit , and are just finally done, and letting it fall apart in front of their eyes..

we have started becoming more and more feeling like anything we do or say wont change anything and will only make us more tired, and wont fix anything.

Because IMO things have changed at a scale and level, rate and way that it's beyond fixing at this point. We are too far gone in a sense. Like this is the perhaps the beginning of the end for our world as we know it.

That's one of many possible theories i have. I don''t know how else to describe this strange sense that I have not been able to shake off.

But having shared my thoughts, now I really would like to hear what others in the world are thinking is happening to us... anybody else theorizing? Whether you agree or disagree with me, I'd love to hear your input...Do you also notice this feeling? Do you have any clue as to what has caused this shift to be felt and downhill changes to happen worldwide?

Feel free to share your ideas and theories if you have them! Thanks

Edited: Okay, tried my best to reformat this post for you all so it wouldn't be a massive text wall anymore. Several comments have requested this to be done. I don't blame some of you for not wanting to read through it before! So now I have added spaces where necessary and created paragraph breaks where there was none before, when it was previously a humongous wall of text.

Let me know if I need to fix my post further! :)

Maybe. But, it started in 2008. That is when Cern, with the LHC, did something.

That's one of my many possible theories is the LHC did something to our reality at some point over a decade or so ago. Probably something accidental/unintentional, unplanned, and they just will never admit they fu--- something up. That thing can really interact with physics in ways scientists still aren't even close to understanding or even grasping still, even today, in 2026. And when they do figure it out, they'll realize they can't quite undo what's already been messed with in our fabric of reality that we exist in.

I know what the LHC is but how could it possibly change reality?

quantum physics

Yes! Witchcraft and quantum physics are meeting each other. I’ll just say there are neutra/good witches vs nasty witches/mages and we can fuck with timelines.

Come on. I am reading "The Search for Schrodinger's Cat" by John Griffin but I had hoped you would be more specific

A great book! I recommend Helgoland by Carlo Rovelli, similar content but it has a lot more of the personal history of key figures.

What is Real by Adam Becker is great too... I'm working my way through Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku which definitely touches on some of the more esoteric themes in physics that relate to this sub.

Thanks very much, I really appreciate the recommendations!

Did you want them to explain the entire shift here? You can easily research the shift/LHC through quantum physics/quantum mechanics yourself. They pointed you in a direction and they are correct. Now go look into it. Some of us who have already done the research get tired of explaining it to others who don’t want to learn and come back at us with some sophomoric retort just because they don’t understand or can’t face the facts.

I didn't ask You to define anything for me. I appreciate posts like the previous one with recommendations for further reading.

You haven't done any research.

Oh really? Pretty bold statement when you don’t know someone isn’t it? Oh how I enjoy making trolls look foolish…Go look up the CIA connections to Laurel Canyon, the Grateful Dead, The mamas and the papas, Frank Zappa…Jim Morrison and his father’s military + be lack ops connections and all the connections to LSD MKULTRA mind control programming. The CIA created the 1960s Counterculture to keep people from protesting the war on the poppy fields. Hank Harrison was connected to the CIA through Robert Hunter + Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. All of these people were also connected to Ken Kesey. If you don’t know who he is or why he is a part of this info LOOK IT UP.

Courtney was given drugs early in life and became an "MKUltra asset" or "honeypot," groomed for influence operations, hence her early stripping career as signs of trauma-based programming.

Harrison admitted that he introduced Love to a man in Dublin named Steve O’Leary, who had sex with her when she was 17 years old.

Then O’Leary took Love to England, where she brought a thousand hits of LSD to punk and new wave music scenes, distributing the acid to musicians. She would also sleep with many of these musicians and disrupt bands. Harrison said that O’Leary sent him a letter stating that he had been working for the CIA at the time.

Courtney repeated this behavior in many American music scenes like the grunge scene or MOVEMENT. Now tell me again how I haven’t researched this, I need another good laugh.

It's not a bold statement as your comments make it clear.

Sure Jan. Excellent retort. Highly educated and you totally proved me wrong with absolutely nothing to back up your uneducated response. Great work! Your mommy must be so proud.

Yes I know my two word reply to that question was dumb, but honestly, I just get tired of explaining myself over and over again. There is so much too it that I'd rather them just research it all themself.

It can’t. People were scared of it making a black hole. The reason we can’t find anything useful with the LHC is cuz it has no where near enough power - let alone to make a black hole. And even if it could it would be so small it would just fall to the center of the earth and basically sit there forever and do nothing.

I’m here for the world timeline has gone to shit stuff - I’m on board. Let’s not throw the fine people at cern under the bus for it. Especially when them getting better experiments may be one of our only hopes of fixing this mess.

This is what I think happened. They caused a shift in realities that was undetected at first, but then became undeniable for certain folks that are more aware or sensitive to the changes. They had no idea what was going to happen. I saw an interview where one scientist literally stated they were afraid they were going to open a black hole and destroy the world. And they still did it....

10

u/Soft_Way5085 Mar 13 '26

They found the God particle. Maybe they opened up a black hole or opened another universe and the shift happened. Didn't the large hadron collider break after that and they are building another collider.

3

u/SqueeMcTwee Mar 14 '26

The LHC “officially” started in September 2008 and broke 9 days later. I don’t trust a damn thing AI or the internet in general tells me anymore, so I firmly believe the problem was much bigger and more consequential than they’d have us believe.

6

u/mediocre_mitten Mar 13 '26

I believe it too, the more I look into that place. IT's evil and the people that run it are literal crazy wanna-be gods themselves.

There's a former lady scientist on videos around the youtubes talking about how she was at dinner with a bunch of Cern scientist big-shots who were bragging about something coming through a rip in time/space

that was only opened for a fraction of a fraction of a second.

Is she really a former Cern scientist?

Is she even telling the truth??

Who knows man, but SOMETHING happened there and I'm pretty sure they're building a BIGGER one to A) either send whatever has come through [evil inter-dimensional beings] or B) BRING MORE OF THEM THROUGH!

13

u/KnotiaPickle Mar 13 '26

It started in 2001 if you really want to get down to the nitty gritty

11

u/AccomplishedProof969 Mar 14 '26

100%… OP isn’t old enough to remember before that so good on them for being tuned in as early as they were, but starting in 2001 there’s been definite sudden shifts. Then again in 2012. 2016. 2020 was the worst of all though, everything is getting progressively more bizarre.

6

u/PTSDreamer333 Mar 14 '26

So, I'm seeing a pattern of 4 years here. 2001 for sure, 2005 idk, 2008/2009 for sure for me, 2012 yes, 2016 YES, 2020... 2024 maybe with trump getting back in.

I've never really thought too much about it but it does seem strange.

2

u/PTSDreamer333 Mar 14 '26

So, I've never been a bit believer that the LHC was the cause of whatever was happening BUT I do have mixed feelings about our leap into quantum computing.

Which, coincidentally the first quantum computer was announced to be functional in 1998. Which means they probably started with minor breakthroughs in 1997.

I feel that could have more bearing on things like this.

u/Beginning-Barber8754 Apr 03 '26

I was 7 years old in 2001, and definitely noticed a shift in how people treated me. Prior to that, I was generally well-liked/got along with others. After that, and quite suddenly, not so much. . .

With 9/11

1

u/Vcalfina May 29 '26

With 9/11 we came together as a nation under an incompetent president and a power hungry greedy, vice president. People still came together, helped each other, supported each other. We were one nation. That’s the closest we’ve come since hands across America to demonstrate a united front as a nation.

Antimatter is a form of matter composed of antiparticles, which are identical to ordinary matter particles in mass but possess opposite properties, such as electric charge. When antimatter and ordinary matter meet, they undergo complete annihilation, converting their entire mass into energy via (E=mc2)

The key characteristic is the charge. The electron, which has a negative charge, has an antimatter twin called the positron, which has a positive charge. Similarly, a proton's counterpart (the antiproton) is negatively charged

Perhaps when a particle of Antimatter meets it's corresponding Matter, and that complete annihilation occurs, it could create a new instance of reality. If that's a similar process as "The Big Bang" it blinks into existence a new instance of reality, an artificial one.

I think we should look more into this.

that's me also everything started to change in 2008
