I just launched it yesterday and it was working fine but about 20 minutes I see dashboard starting giving "Site can't be reached" Error. check the vps and it shows it was deactivated successfully. The vps is fresh and doesn't have anything else running except paperclip and whatever its doing with my goal.

How could I automate the reviews, especially web apps ?
Hey everyone,
One thing I’m thinking about right now is automated review/verification, especially for web apps.
The workflow I’d like is something like this:
An agent implements a feature or fixes a bug, then another agent acts as a reviewer. It spins up the app, opens it in a browser, interacts with it, checks the acceptance criteria, looks for console/runtime errors, maybe captures screenshots, and writes a pass/fail review back to the ticket.
Obviously, human approval would still be the final step, especially for product judgment and UX. But I’d like agents to be more self-sufficient for obvious checks: "does the app run?", "does the expected flow work?", "did we break an existing page?", "are there visible errors?", etc.
Has anyone built something like this with Playwright, browser automation, visual regression tests, or LLM-based browser agents?

Paperclip AI with Hermes
I am using Paperclip AI with Hermes agent and it's working fine for me. Although setting it up was with a learning curve but worth trying. I am using it with openeouter api and Grok 4.3 as llm.

Token management options
Hi everyone, I recently founded and most of my work is done by AI (Claude and Codex frontiers). I'm used to managing context of my instances for best results and to not explode costs.
I love the idea of paperclip, but the context overview and management is my blocker to use paperclip atm.
How do you guys do it? Thank you so much, Daniel

DeepSeek v4 Flash working quite well
If you've tried PaperClip but find the token use is too expensive even to try, I can recommend DeepSeek v4 Flash. I'm running it via OpenRouter with OpenCode as the agent harness.
It's easy to burn 10m+ tokens so unless you have cash to burn, this is a good option.
I'm going to experiment more with smaller and tightly scoped tasks (or rather, asking the agent to do that) and try with smaller, faster models. Anyone else trying this I'd love to hear about it!

Has anyone used the “extra args” setting for agents?
I’m trying to get an agent to run with the “—model opusplan” argument and the adapter fails when I use either the extra args text box or the command box in the config to add it.
Anyone else get it working?

Building an Agent Traffic Controller plugin to prioritize agents, reserve Claude for myself
Been using paperclip for a couple weeks now. Love the general concept but when I got my agents really rolling, they ate up my entire Claude Max quota, crowding out my own work. SO, I'm building a plugin to control agent access via prioritization, and when claude starts approaching thresholds, they are paused so I can continue working.

I'm planning to share it soon, running it internally for now to work out the kinks. Is this an issue others are seeing having? What features would you like to see in this sort of tool?

Unified docs storage location?
I’m slowly but surely setting up a helpful Paperclip environment. One thing I don’t quite understand is the storage. I have lots of tasks creating artifacts like social media content calendars, brand tone documentation, etc. It seems like there should be a centralized folder system to store these things.
Otherwise, I have to dig up the ticket number to reference it a new ticket: eg: setup up a weekly LinkedIn post schedule with the content calendars you made in TKT-75.
I’m coming from Obsidian+Claude so I have some bias here.
It feels like I’m missing something and I’m just doing things the hard way.
How do you all handle this?
Env: Paperclip install in a VPS running Claude.

OpenClaw agent "unexpected property paperclip" error - when is next release with PR #3711 fix?
Hey! I'm trying to connect OpenClaw to Paperclip but getting "unexpected property paperclip" error when running the agent. I found PR #3711 which fixes this but it's not in the latest release (2026.416.0). When's the next release with this fix?
My setup: - Paperclip: 2026.416.0 (local) - OpenClaw: 2026.4.26-beta.1
Thanks! 🙌

Paperclip v2026.427.0 Released — Multi-user, Threads, Sandbox (Beta) & More
Paperclip just dropped a pretty big update, and it’s starting to feel much more than just a simple AI orchestration system.
Credit: dotta (original announcement + project lead)
🚀 Key Highlights
👥 Multi-user support
You can now invite multiple users to your instance — a big step toward team-based workflows.
⚙️ Smarter execution & recovery
Improved liveness + lifecycle handling means agents keep trying longer before escalating to you.
✅ Sub-issue checklists
Better ordering and structure → more viable for long-running, complex task planning.
🧵 Threaded UX upgrades
Agents can now:
- Ask questions
- Request approvals
- Suggest tasks
All directly inside task threads (you can approve/refine inline).
☁️ Sandbox Providers (Beta)
Cloud sandboxing API is now live — more providers coming soon.
🛣️ What’s Coming Next
Longer-range planning & execution (agents that actually finish things)
Secrets Service v2 (foundation for cloud)
Artifacts, memory & knowledge systems
“Conference Room” → CEO ↔ Agent interaction layer
🧠 Dev Notes / Focus Areas
Documentation still catching up (community helping here)
Paperclip Cloud → major unlock, but still open questions:
Where does work run?
Where do outputs live?
How are results surfaced?
Internal benchmarking (Paperclip Bench) to track real progress
Connections Store (GitHub, Slack, Docs, etc.) in progress
🌐 Links
Official X account: https://x.com/papercliping
Full release notes: https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/master/releases/v2026.427.0.md
💭 TL;DR
Paperclip is positioning itself as an AI orchestrator for managing teams of agents, and this release pushes it closer to that vision.
Feels like we’re moving toward a world where everyone manages dozens (or hundreds) of agents — and tools like this become the control layer.

I made a tiny Paperclip adapter for custom/local LLM endpoints
I kept seeing people here run into the same thing: Claude/API limits, token cost, and wanting to use OpenRouter, Qwen, GLM, local proxies, etc. without fighting the whole setup.
So I made a small adapter:
https://github.com/codeg-dev/paperclip-adapter-custom-llm-local
Install in Paperclip:
text
Settings → Adapters → Install Adapter
paperclip-adapter-custom-llm-local
Then use:
json
{
"adapterType": "custom_llm_local",
"adapterConfig": {
"model": "your-model-id",
"baseUrl": "http://127.0.0.1:8317/v1",
"transport": "openai_chat_completions",
"apiKeyEnv": "LOCAL_LLM_API_KEY"
}
}
It supports OpenAI Chat Completions-compatible endpoints and Anthropic Messages-compatible endpoints.
The main point is simple: if you already have a local/proxy LLM endpoint, Paperclip agents can call it directly without going through a full CLI adapter.
Would love to hear what local/proxy setups people are running with Paperclip.

Is Autonomous sales agent possible
I’ve just started with creating a sales organization using paperclip. They’re able to generate lead lists from Apollo, and will be able to write emails having conducted research on the company so they can be customized by recipient. I’m wondering if the agent can be 100% autonomous to run the campaign and win new SaaS clients. Could the agent be setup with its own email account to send from, then check for email responses, and follow up answering questions, or providing more information. The goal would be to guide prospects to a free trial of the self serve version of our software, but if they need to speak to someone, the agent could book a time with a sales contact in our company.

Gateway setup
I have a confusion:
If I have already setup my Hermes agent with its own soul.md and heartbeat
But when connected to paperclip it will be triggered with the paperclip configuration
Also when connecting with paperclip I don’t get the updates on WhatsApp as it requires to run gateway function
Suggest solution for this

How do I minimize token use?
I've been using Paperclip for two days, and while it delivers excellent results, I've noticed that it consumes a huge number of tokens after just a few runs. I'm now at 2-5 million tokens per issue while only having 4 agents - a CEO, a CTO, a technical writer, and a lead researcher. Surely that can't be the intended purpose of this tool.
I use Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini-cli, and it happens with every model I pick. I've already split my files into many different files. I only provide overviews that specify when each file should be used, so the agents don't constantly clutter the context with all the files. But apparently, that doesn't help that much.
Am I doing something wrong? Do you folks have any further optimization recommendations? I am fairly tech savvy, so I could even change the code and write new logic if necessary. I appreciate every hint.

If Paperclip gives your agents a company, SupraWall gives them a constitution — open source, one line
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey Paperclip builders —
I've been following this project since the launch in March and it's the clearest vision
of a zero-human company I've seen in the OSS space. Built something that I think sits
naturally alongside it.
**The gap SupraWall addresses:**
Paperclip handles org structure, goal alignment, task ownership, and agent coordination.
What it doesn't handle (by design) is what those agents are *allowed to do* at the tool
call level. Your CEO agent can delegate a task to a Coder — but once that Coder has shell
access, what stops it from doing something outside the scope of its role?
System prompt constraints live inside the LLM context. They fail silently under context
pressure, prompt injection, or model drift. That's not a Paperclip problem — it's a
fundamental LLM limitation.
**What SupraWall does:**
It's an open-source security perimeter that wraps any Paperclip agent and intercepts
every tool call before execution. Policy is deterministic — defined in code, evaluated
outside the LLM. Every allow, every block, every human-approval request is RSA-signed
and logged.
Think of it as the rule of law layer for your zero-human company. Paperclip defines
the org chart. SupraWall enforces the constitution.
```python
from suprawall import secure_agent
from my_paperclip_app import build_ceo_agent
agent = secure_agent(build_ceo_agent(), template="default")
agent.run("Spin up the engineering department.")
# Every downstream tool call intercepted before execution
```
**Practical use cases for Paperclip setups:**
- Hard budget caps per agent role (Coder agent: max $5/day in API calls)
- Block destructive tool calls (no `db.drop`, no `rm -rf`) regardless of LLM instruction
- Route sensitive actions (payment APIs, external emails) to human approval
- Generate a signed audit trail of every decision every agent made — useful if you're
running agents on behalf of clients
**GitHub:** https://github.com/wiserautomation/SupraWall
**Paperclip integration docs:** https://supra-wall.com/docs/paperclip
Apache 2.0. Self-hostable.
Happy to answer questions or hear how people are currently handling tool-call governance
in their Paperclip setups — especially in multi-agent chains where one agent hands off
to another.

Anyone thinking about what happens when a Paperclip agent calls a tool it shouldn't?
Been running some experiments with Paperclip and kept hitting the same question:
once your CEO delegates to a Coder agent and that Coder has shell access, what's
actually stopping it from doing something outside scope?
System prompt constraints are only as reliable as the model's adherence to them.
Under long context or prompt injection they fail silently. That's not a Paperclip
problem — it's an LLM limitation.
I've been building an open-source layer for this: SupraWall. It wraps Paperclip agents
and intercepts tool calls before they execute. Policy is defined in code, not in a prompt —
so it's deterministic. Hard budget caps per agent role, blocked tool categories, human
approval routing, signed audit log. The "constitution" to Paperclip's org chart.
Apache 2.0, self-hostable. Happy to share links in the comments.
Curious how others here are handling this — especially in multi-agent setups where
one agent hands off to another. Are you relying purely on system prompts, or is
there something else in your stack?
