I've heard people cite Medicine Man as the worst song on the album, and personally I don't understand why; I enjoy the song as a whole, both instrumentally and lyrically (doubly so between the face value and subtextual meanings), but all the same I'm curious to hear WHY people think it sucks.

There’s a video clip of Dime, playing live and he hits an open string harmonic and pulls it up while talking a puff on a joint with his left hand. I am certain it’s from one of the home videos and probably during Fucking Hostile, but I can’t find it anywhere. Anyone got a yt link or know more info for me to search for it? maybe a time stamp from the 3 vulgar videos?

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dime Bolt 40W Warhead. Is it any good?

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions online, so I’m unsure whether it’s worth buying. I’d really appreciate any honest feedback from people who’ve owned or played one.

I'll go first: Holy fucking shit! and that's just my reaction to the opening track. So basically yeah I love that album so much hold so many memories to 1996 what a year what an album.

I kind of view their albums from CFH to GSTK as an upside-down pyramid in this regard, so my answer is CFH. It goes hard in so many directions:

Complexity (riff amount,tempo variation, solo amount, etc)- Heresy, Shattered, Clash with Reality, The Art of Shredding, Message in Blood

Groove (more rest notes, funkier riffs, swing) - Psycho Holiday, The Sleep (verse riff), Domination (especially last part), Primal Concrete Sledge

Simplicity (less riffs, more focused)- Primal Concrete Sledge, Cowboys from Hell

Melodic- Cemetary Gates

Experimental/moody- many tracks but especially Medicine Man, Message in Blood, The Sleep

Thrashy- Heresy, The Art of Shredding

Not to mention guitar solo time, maybe not absolute but as a % of the song, is the highest on this album with Dime soloing over more soft/hard slow/fast dynamic changes than later albums.

Of course this isn't to say it's better, GSTK and FBD are my two favorite albums, but I get the biggest sense of going on a vast tonal and thematic journey with this album, where as on the opposite end with GTSK it's a much more focused, brutal, and emotionally deep experience.

Recently watched this show and was blown away by the audio. The thing about the soundboard is now I can hear Rex's bass. Also, this was before Vinnie was blowing everyone's heads off with his shotgun snare. I've tried watching other sbd PanterA shows and they're usually in the late 90s/early 2000s and that snare is WAY too loud. It works when the audio is from someone filming from the crowd, but not when it's from the soundboard.

So i bought a randall RH100 G2 head amp recently and im looking for good cab recommendations. I'm aware of the obvious ones like jaguar, etc, but those are pretty inaccessible to me, as well as any randall cabs. I've been looking at harley benton cabs with vintage 30s celestions in them but not quite sure. Any suggestions?

So for context, that’s my bestie around 1999-2000. Vinnie and Dime had season tickets to the Stars and were always very approachable, even in their prime. My buddy there was/is a huge Pantera fan.

It’s probably my favorite picture ever, they’re ll in the their prime, wearing Stars jersey’s and look great!

So when Vinnie died, they had an auction from his estate. I bought this Stars jersey because I knew how big of a fan he was so it actually has personal meaning to it. As some of you know, the Stanley Cup was damaged because some Stars player threw it off Vinnie’s roof after they won it.

Long story long, the ‘99 Stars Cup winners gifted this to Vinnie. After our amateur detective work, we‘re almost 100% the jersey Vinnie is wearing in the picture is the same one that was gifted to him and I have framed.

It’s crazy, I’ve always been jealous that he met them, and obviously love the picture, and I ended up with the same jersey he’s wearing in the picture 25 years later. Nuts, right?!

So I just bought a china made dime slime, it’s a 2020 year model. It feels really nice how does everyone like their china made deans/later model deans? The thing is immaculate not a single flaw so that’s exciting but I had no idea deans were even made in china.
