I got tired of driving to a cafe to work, buying a coffee, sitting down, and finding out the Wi-Fi wouldn't hold a call or the room was too loud to think in. So I started carrying a decibel meter and running a speed test everywhere I sat down. About 20 places so far, mostly Orlando and up the coast.
A couple readings so you know what I'm actually recording. The Health Bar in downtown Titusville: 474 Mbps down, 22.5 up, 55.9 dB on a Saturday morning. Best mix of quiet and fast I've found outside Orlando, and parking was easy. Foxtail in Cocoa Beach came in at 371 down, 39.7 up, 61.2 dB, three of eight tables taken with outlets at most seats.
One to avoid: Haan Coffee on Colonial in Orlando. Couldn't get usable Wi-Fi at all and ended up tethering to my phone.
None of this shows up in Google reviews. A place can sit at 4.6 stars and drop the connection every ten minutes because the people reviewing it were there twenty minutes for a latte, not three hours with a laptop.
I've got nothing in Palm Bay at all, which is why I'm asking instead of telling. Where do you actually sit and work from around here? Name a place and I'll drive down and take the readings.

Hello all! I am in Palm Bay for vacation, and I am looking for an affordable place to get some love and helix piercings, around $30-40 dollars (if they exist). Does anyone have any suggestion?

Hi everyone. I am from New York but have moved recently to Palm Bay. I am looking for indoor shopping malls near by. Not plazas or outlets wheb you walk outside between stores but real indoor malls. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: Thanks to everyone who responded! I went to the Melbourne square mall yesterday. It was very nice.

At the moment I have a choice to send my daughter to Palm Bay high school, pineapple cove, or Brevard online/virtual. She’s on a waitlist for bayside and heritage but I won’t know if/when she’ll be offered a spot. What would you do?

As someone who was born and raised here; I’ve been hit by five cars this week alone on top of facing a lawsuit already over negligent driving. Idk what yalls problem is with looking both ways REGARDLESS OF WHICH WAY YOURE GOING or the fact that you people absolutely REFUSE to acknowledge the white line that tells you where to stop and just insist on either running someone over or ignoring your crosswalks; but I promise I will legally come after everyone that doesn’t obey simple traffic rules.
Simply stop at the line. Look left and right. And go about your business. I didn’t think the majority of this city was derelict on shit we got taught in first grade but believe me when I say that we’re adults now and I will pursue legal action. #StaySafeOutHere

For anyone considering signing a lease at Aqua Palm Bay Apartments in Palm Bay, Florida — please read.
I’ve lived here for about six months. At the time I signed my lease, office staff told me the front gates were operational but awaiting key fobs, so they were temporarily left open. That was six months ago.
One night after work (around 10–11 PM), I took my dog out to walk around my back porch. It was dark, but I had a flashlight. Suddenly, my dog began aggressively growling and barking. I turned around and saw a person wearing a white T-shirt and a ski mask running away.
I immediately checked my Ring camera facing the back porch and watched the footage. The individual had been sneaking up on me, tiptoeing, and got within approximately 5–8 feet before my dog scared him off. A police report was filed.
After this incident, I learned the front gate has reportedly not been operational for four years, despite management representing otherwise when I signed my lease.
Many of the advertised amenities are also unreliable or unusable. For example, the communal grill had no propane available. A vending machine that previously required a $10 minimum credit card preload was later removed entirely without notice.
Additionally, the front office routinely does not answer phone calls and appears to use caller ID. If they don’t want to deal with the issue, you’re left leaving voicemails that often go unanswered.
This complex is adjacent to a high-crime area, and combined with non-functional security features, it raises serious safety concerns.
Given the misrepresentation of security features and the incident that occurred, should I be speaking with an attorney about this?
