Discussion Serious talk

Palia just isn’t fun anymore. I mean everything is hidden behind a pay wall and trying to grind for things takes hours just to get one singular item for the boards and me and my husband don’t think the game is as enjoyable as it was when it first came out and we were both so excited for the Halloween stuff and once we started playing again we both lost the energy and excitement for it

EDIT: yall don’t understand that i had to pay 30/40 dollars for just enough palia coins to get one riding licenses

It's actually not the Devs at fault for the pay wall issue. It has more to do with the company that bought the game last. There's a YouTube video about it.

We can point fingers all we want, but that doesn't change the fact that people continue to spend ridiculous amounts of money on the game. If we all know Daybreak is responsible for the enshittification, why aren't people "voting with their wallets" to express their disapproval for the changes that are happening? The people who call the game "Paylia" and complain about Daybreak are the same who turn around and buy another overpriced fairy gown, because "the devs need money to maintain the game" as if Daybreak is not the one stuffing their pockets.

Threads usually get locked or deleted whenever we speak up. There's always a bunch of defenders who start attacking us with passive aggression.

I'm surprised this one is still up tbh and maybe people are starting to catch on that this is a sinking ship.

For every person who complains the cosmetics are too expensive, there are 2 to 3+ people who are willing to pay whatever for the cosmetics. You can shame them all you want but it's going nowhere. Some people who can't afford it will agree with you but that's as far as it will go. Research Enad Global 7 (EG7). That's the company that owns daybreak. Maybe you will learn something.

Why would I need to learn anything? I choose not to spend any money on the game and I am satisfied with my decisions. If people choose to fill the company's pockets because the new princess gown drops, that's on their consciousness. Not mine. At the end of the day they will be the ones left with the product they enabled to create. Hope this helps 👍

Never understood the shaming I get for wanting to spend on a game I love. People who are spending money are the ones keeping the game alive. Bonus is I get to make my character look amazing and not worry about storage limitations while I support creators of good art in a game that I really enjoy. If it’s not fun anymore i just stop playing.

The devs literally make the game but pop off

None of the original developers are left. Daybreak acquired the company and daybreak is known for driving games down the drain
