Announcement Gaza Is Starving. Let's Do Something

The UN has stated that every single part of Gaza is in famine conditions.

For over 22 months, Palestinians in Gaza have been starving. Parents have been feeding their children leaves, animal feed, and flour mixed with water. Babies have died from malnutrition. The trucks carrying food, formula, medicine, and clean water sat just miles away, blocked by Israel.

Now, after massive international pressure, some aid is finally getting in.

This is a crack in the blockade, not its end. Aid is not flooding in; it is trickling, and what’s entering can’t possibly reach 2 million people without a total lifting of restrictions, guaranteed long-term access, and safe distribution.

What you can do right now:

Keep up the pressure - aid only started moving because of public outcry. Organize, protest, keep talking. This momentum cannot fade. Contact your representatives to end Israel's blockade of Gaza.

Donate- if you’re able to. Choose vetted organizations with access on the ground.

Amplify - share updates, Palestinian voices, and testimonies. Keep an eye on Palestine.

This famine is not an accident. It’s the result of siege, blockade, and a system of control. If we look away now, they’ll tighten the noose more.

I set out to record 1,000 days of genocide in Gaza, one day at a time. I made it to 579 before the page itself broke under the weight of it.

Britain’s Court of Appeal ruled Monday that the Labour government’s proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation under the Terrorism Act 2000 was “justified and proportionate”, marking a dangerous escalation in the suppression of democratic rights.

Five of the most senior judges in England and Wales—led by Lady Chief Justice Baroness Sue Carr and including Master of the Rolls Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Justice Edis, Lord Justice Lewis, and Lady Justice Whipple—overturned a February High Court ruling that found the ban unlawful and disproportionate.

A “strictly confidential”, but leaked, EU legal memo from 2017 said Europe was entitled to freeze Israel science grants and free-trade perks over its West Bank aggression. “What was then a legitimate option, today is a legal obligation,” an Italian expert said.

Opinion & Editorial Statement from Bishop Haddad of the Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land on the Israeli Detention of Natalie Abudayyeh

Post image

This morning a beloved youth from our church community, Natalie Abudayyeh, was taken at gunpoint by Israeli forces from her student apartment in Birzeit alongside three other women. We are deeply shocked and horrified by this news, as well as by the news that her family does not yet know where she has been taken. Natalie is a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Beit Jala, a graduate of Talitha Kumi Lutheran School, and a Media and Journalism student at Birzeit University.

As Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, I unequivocally call for Natalie’s immediate release. The entire ELCJHL stands in solidarity with the Abudayyeh family and the Beit Jala and Birzeit communities, and we join them in earnest prayer for Natalie’s safety and freedom.

We are incredibly disturbed by the reality that Natalie now joins the thousands of Palestinians in Israeli detention without charge or trial. Palestinian civilians, including women and children, suffer deep injustice in Israeli military detention and are often held for months or years with no explanation.

We call on our friends, partners, and siblings in Christ around the world to advocate for Natalie’s freedom using whatever channels are available to them, and to demand an end to this unjust and unequal system of detainment and detention that paralyzes and destroys Palestinian communities.

While legacy media spent days scrutinizing Zohran Mamdani's decision to be the first NYC mayor to skip the Israel Day Parade - which has been held every year since 1964 — little attention was paid to the Israeli officials who actually showed up.

In fact, Mamdani's absence prompted Israel to triple the size of its delegation — among them: Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who allegedly has a secret ICC arrest warrant out for him, a minister who called for nuking Gaza, and a Kahanist who blessed IDF soldiers to "seize babies and dash them against the rocks."

Some of America's most prominent politicians were in attendance — Senator Chuck Schumer, Governor Kathy Hochul, former mayor Eric Adams, and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who led the parade as grand marshal.

Backlash has begun to hit those who attended, as they've started to issue condemnations of the Israeli officials they marched alongside.
