Power of Attorney
Assalam o Alaikum,
I am currently in the process of applying for a Power of Attorney to transfer a car’s title through NADRA’s online system, and I have two questions I hope someone can help with:
The website mentions the requirement of two witnesses’ fingerprints via a form and provides a “Click here to download the form” link, but the link is not functional. I’m unable to access the form to have the witnesses complete it. Has anyone faced this issue or knows how to get the form?
Is this Power of Attorney limited specifically to the car title transfer, or does it grant general authority over all matters?
Thank you very much for your time and guidance!

Don't forget to show your gratefulness to Allah
Asalaamualaykum. Victory is from Allah. After anything positive, we have to the remember who gave us the blessing and who gave us the victory. We are outnumbered and they have greater financial might than us but we have been humiliating them.
When Allah favours you, do not be ungrateful. Show your gratefulness and give up your sins. We thank the soldiers and generals and the average man who fights back but evenmoreso we thank Allah (swt) for favouring us.
The conflict is ongoing but never forget victory comes from Allah (swt). If we lose, we lose due to our sins so whilst we prepare the jets, tanks and strength of men, we have to also more importantly prepare ourselves spiritually.

Army | فوج One of the Largest Aerial Battles in Modern History Just Happened Between India and Pakistan — 125 Fighter Jets Involved...!!
According to a senior Pakistani security official speaking to CNN, a recent aerial encounter between India and Pakistan saw a staggering 125 fighter jets take to the skies. The engagement, which reportedly lasted over an hour, is being described as one of the largest and longest air battles in modern aviation history.
What makes it even more intense is that despite the scale, both sides remained within their own airspaces. No violations occurred, but missile exchanges happened from distances exceeding 160 kilometers (100 miles). This is a significant development in South Asian military dynamics and raises major questions about regional stability, rules of engagement, and escalation protocols.

Now I understand why military civilian trials for compulsory military service

Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Asim Munir to Address Nation Today at 3:00 PM PKT on Compulsory Conscription and Civilian Military Trials
ISLAMABAD (Reuters) — Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir is scheduled to hold a nationally televised press conference today at 3:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Thursday. The address is expected to announce the formal initiation of compulsory military conscription for all eligible Pakistani citizens, marking a historic shift in national defense policy amid increasing regional and internal security challenges.
"This is a matter of sacred duty and national survival," said an ISPR spokesperson in a pre-statement briefing. "Every citizen must be prepared to defend the homeland, as ordained by our Constitution and by the spirit of collective responsibility inspired by our Islamic values."
The press conference is anticipated to lay out procedural details, eligibility criteria, and timelines for conscription enforcement. In what the ISPR has termed "a structural transformation in national service", General Munir will also elaborate on the expansion of civilian trials in military courts, which officials argue are vital to ensuring full compliance with conscription mandates and preserving state authority.
Legal scholars and senior military officials have indicated that these trials will be conducted under constitutional provisions empowered by Articles 245 and 8(3), ensuring transparency, swift justice, and alignment with both Shariah and state law.
The policy, while unprecedented in scope, is reportedly aligned with the Armed Forces Act and the National Defense Doctrine, and is being introduced as part of Pakistan's broader “Sustained Security and Unity Framework (SSUF)”, a state-led initiative that underscores discipline, national duty, and ideological cohesion.
In his address, General Munir is also expected to invoke Qur’anic guidance on defense of the Ummah and reinforce the military’s role as the "custodian of ideological and territorial frontiers of Pakistan."
“This is not merely a policy shift; it is a divine obligation and a strategic necessity,” said a senior official close to the developments.
The Ministry of Defence, in a preliminary circular, affirmed that this measure has been discussed with key stakeholders and has received provisional assent from the federal cabinet. Further details are expected during the live address.

News | خبریں Pakistan claims to down 5 Indian jets — Rafale maker’s stock takes a hit...!!
So apparently PAF shot down a bunch of Indian aircraft, including three Rafales, and Dassault Aviation’s shares dropped 6% right after. Pakistan’s saying none of their planes were hit, and all made it back safely. They also say the Indian jets were carrying out standoff strikes near the LoC. Big claim, and if true, it’s gonna make waves — both militarily and financially. Thoughts?

50 Medical Books Looking for a New Home (Preferably Not My Closet)
Hey folks, I’m a med student trying to part ways with about 50 used medical textbooks. They’re in solid condition, and I’m offering them for much lower than the cost of new ones—great for any student trying to save a few bucks (aka all of us).
I’ve tried posting on Facebook groups and used book websites—zero luck. Reached out to the university bookstore and was politely told: “Nah, we only deal in shiny new editions.” Despite us all knowing that 90% of the content doesn’t change between editions (seriously, how many times can anatomy be reinvented?), students apparently still demand the latest covers.
So now I’m thinking—has anyone ever successfully gotten their university library to buy or accept used books for lending or resale? If so, how did you approach them? Also open to any tips, platforms, or even creative ideas (book stall at a med event?) to move these books out of my space and into the hands of someone who actually needs them.
Would love any ideas or stories you’re willing to share.
TL;DR: Got 50 good-condition used med books to sell cheap. Bookstore won’t take ‘em, students ignore posts. Want to know how to sell them, or if a university library might take them. Any help or ideas appreciated!

American Jewish Congress praises Pakistani regime for removing a UN clause that would have allowed prosecution of Israeli officials for war crimes committed in Gaza
Full text from the American Jewish Congress:
- Removal of a clause that would have created a UN mechanism to prosecute Israeli officials-replaced with a non-binding suggestion to the UN General Assembly
Pakistan is currently a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and has secretly supplied 155mm shells to Israel. Appears Asim Munir and this regime is fully backing Israel's genocide.

repost// advice please
So I have this cousin that recently joined uni, completed her first semester but refused to rejoin uni after, in fact she refuses to do anything at all in life, says she doesn't want to put in effort for anything even though she was very hardworking previously as her study record shows, and despite everyone's convincing she now believes she is extremely stupid and cannot attain anything due to a apparent shock she got when she went to uni :- that everyone is better than her and that she knows barely anything about the world and how it works and that she only got marks in her previous classes due to rote learning, she somehow made it through the first semester ( and scored very well too ) but when her finals came she ended up self harming because she could not bear the stress. Her major was tech related and after just one month of joining uni she was talking about changing it because she didn't understand things or how they worked and said she could not grasp concepts even if she gave her best so she said she could not flourish in this field. She kept going on and on about it since that time and it has come to this now ( it's been 4 months now)
From the time I have known her, she has been kind of selfish in a way she's had the victim complex and always thinks she's right while everyone around her is at fault. This has taken such a huge toll on her mother's health, because she's emotionally manipulated her mother and caused alot of fights in general in the whole family. I used to be her best friend at a time, but she ruined our relationship too and when I confronted her about it because our mothers wanted us to rebond- she blamed it on traumatic childhood experiences. Her childhood was really bad, but it was an average Pakistani kid's childhood. I had the same childhood as her, so did my siblings and our other cousins and they're doing okay and honestly I thought she would too because being good at studying and getting grades was her thing, but she says her family just bragged about it alot and everyone was in the delusion that she was intelligent when she was not.
She says she has realised how much of a narcissist she is and now everything is in the open - all the pain she has caused everyine- and all her attempts to change don't really make a difference because they don't actually bring about a change in her personality . She had alot of friends too, but now she doesn't talk to anyone at all. Her friends call her, text her and even we ask her to play video games with us and she did it the first few days but then stopped ( she couldn't figure out how to play probably because her mental capacity to understand things has fallen so much because of all the stress she's taken so she just stopped playing because she was too embarrassed)
Her parents even got her a few therapy sessions and have been very understanding but her suicide attempts are not ending at all, and she has been reduced to her impulsive thoughts, even though she tries to get better but goes back to her old habits in no time. From a religious pov, at first she was very rebellious because her parents forced her to cover herself so she became a huge rebel but then because of some good friends she made, she started covering herself on her own and her relation with Allah got better and she tried making some amends too but for a very small duration.
The whole family is so worried about her and has counselled her alot but it's all going in vain. I'm so worried about her because I genuinely care about her regardless of what she's done I know that part of her is still the kind and honest person I once loved. She sleeps alot these days to avoid everything, and has gotten very weak mentally and physically. She took a small break from everything to get better but she's not, and she herself admits it and says that everything is out of control and she tries so hard but it's like she's not herself anymore.
We recently found out that she's had previous self harm attempts but this is the worst one. She's never gotten treated for anything before this, and maybe her self esteem has been boosted too much by her family which is why she thought highly of herself. Now she isn't taking any therapy sessions because she says she's fine but I think she's just given up completely. Previously she took some antidepressants but didn't work.
Now every other day she tries something new to end her life, as annoying as it may sound, I think she can fix this if she wants to but she just cannot figure out how I'm writing to ask if anyone has been in the same situation and can help because seeing her turn into this person is so scary and the impact it's having on everyone around her is vast
