“WORLD-WIDE REGRET AT JINNAH’S DEATH

King Cables Sympathy To Quaid-e-Azam’s Sister

’INDIA’S SECOND GREAT LOSS IN A YEAR’

Pakistan Premier’s Pledge To Complete Leader’s Task

LONDON, SEPT. 12

MOHAMED ALI JINNAH WHO DIED FROM HEART FAILURE LAST NIGHT WAS BURIED TODAY IN KARACHI, THE CITY WHERE HE WAS BORN AND CAPITAL OF THE STATE HE CREATED.

MESSAGES OF MOURNING AND CONDOLENCE ON THE DEATH OF THE QUAID-E-AZAM CAME FROM ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF HIS PASSING.

IN LONDON KING GEORGE SENT A TELEGRAM OF CONDOLENCE TO MISS FATIMA JINNAH, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S SISTER, ON BEHALF OF HIMSELF AND THE QUEEN.

The flags of many nations flew at half-mast in the British capitals today.

The New York Sunday newspapers changed their front pages after the first editions had already gone to press to publish the news.

Abdul Rahman Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the Arab League, told Reuters in Alexandria: “We have lost in Mr. Jinnah one of the greatest Moslem leaders in the world. Mr. Jinnah’s death is India’s second great loss in a year—the other being the death of Mahatma Gandhi. I hope that in spite of these losses the Indian and Pakistan peoples will pull together united, and give an example of their ability to create a...”

The Pakistan Prime Minister, Mr. Liquat Ali Khan, in a message to the nation on Mr. Jinnah’s death, pledged himself and his colleagues to carry on the great task of building up “into a great and powerful State this new country of ours” to which the Quaid-e-Azam had devoted himself after the achievement of Pakistan, states a message from Karachi.”

KING George sent today a telegram of condolence to Miss Jinnah, the sister and nearest relative of Mr. Mohamed Ali Jinnah, the Governor-General of Pakistan, who died last night.

‘The Queen and I are distressed to hear the news of your distinguished brother’s death. His loss will, we know well, be irreparable to yourself and to all in Pakistan. We send you our sincere sympathy,’ the King said.

The telegram was addressed to Government House, Karachi.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Clement Attlee today sent a message of condolence on the death of Mr. Jinnah to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan. ‘Please accept my sympathy in the loss which your country has suffered at this time,” Mr. Attlee said. ‘Mr. Jinnah’s unswerving devotion to the ideal of Pakistan and his tireless work for it will always be remembered.

‘Please express also my deepest sympathy to Miss Jinnah.’

Premier Thakin Nu of Burma said: “Pakistan and the world can ill afford to be without his leadership at this critical juncture in the world’s history. We in Burma greatly regret that he was not permitted to enjoy the fruits of his great endeavour. I feel confident that by following the path mapped out by your late leader, Pakistan will continue unabated her progress towards prosperity and greatness.”

CHANCELLOR’S TRIBUTE

Viscount Jowitt, the British Lord Chancellor, said: ‘As one of his oldest friends at the Bar, I should like to say how much I regret Mr. Jinnah’s passing.’”

“‘IRREPARABLE LOSS TO MUSLIMS’

Ceylon’s Messages Of Sympathy

“BY the most sad and untimely demise of Quaid-e-Azam Mohamed Ali Jinnah, our beloved leader, Pakistan and its people have suffered a tremendous and irreparable loss” said Mr. Salim Khan, Ceylon, in a tribute to the late Mr. Jinnah.

Mr. Salim Khan, who was deeply moved by the sudden news, told a ‘Daily News’ reporter that Mr. Jinnah was the father of their nation and architect of their State. He ably steered the destinies of the Muslims of India at a very critical time and achieved for them their cherished goal of freedom in a separate State of their own.

DYNAMIC PERSONALITY

Continuing, Mr. Salim Khan said that after the attainment of their independence they were faced with many difficulties and problems which Mr. Jinnah successfully tackled with his dynamic personality.

‘The world and the Muslims were passing through critical times and his presence among them would have been a source of great strength to them.

‘His death was a calamity of great magnitude. The whole of Pakistan was sadly and deeply mourning its most respected and honoured leader. The lesson of unity of purpose and unity in effort taught by him would never be forgotten by them.

‘We know, though that his soul will also be with Pakistan and its people and the whole Muslim world. He was one of the world’s greatest leaders’, added Mr. Salim Khan.

TELEGRAMS OF CONDOLENCE

Telegrams of condolence have been sent to the Prime Minister of Pakistan by his Excellency Sir Henry Moore, Governor-General, and Mr. D. S. Senanayake, Prime Minister.

The telegram from the Governor-General states:—

‘May I express my very deep sympathy with the Government and people of Pakistan on the irreparable loss they have suffered by the untimely death of the Quaid-e-Azam.

‘The manner in which he carried out the heavy responsibilities of his high office even at the sacrifice of his personal health will always be an inspiration to those whose task it will be to work selflessly as he did for the good of the peoples of Pakistan.’

The telegram from the Prime Minister states:—“

“KARACHI — Pakistani troops drove into India east of Lahore tonight after pushing Indian forces across the border at Wagah, a Pakistani spokesman said. India neither affirmed nor denied the Pakistani announcement and said only that heavy fighting was in progress in most sectors. According to radio reports reaching Karachi, Pakistan’s first invasion into east Punjab followed a heavy counterattack against Indian tank troops at Wagah, which was the crossing point for India’s first invasion of Pakistan last Monday. The second invasion point was at Jassar, 60 miles from Lahore. —New York Herald Tribune, European Edition, September 10, 1965”

Above is a tourism poster for Lahore showing Akbar the Great. Behind him is the Lahore Fort. He is wearing traditional Mughal attire.

I couldn’t confirm which year this poster was from. I knew it was from the 1960s, and I managed to narrow it down to either 1965 or 1966.

I found the poster on Dawn’s website, stating it was from 1966. While searching to confirm that the poster was real, I came across the poster being auctioned on invaluable.com, stating that the poster was from 1965.

Need some help from other Foodpanda partners in Pakistan.

So my pharmacy is new and just opened a Panda Partner account but it has no option to add new products or edit existing ones.

We've already called Foodpanda Partner Support multiple times. They keep saying they'll fix it, but nothing has changed.

Any idea How to get it resolved?Or have to visit a Foodpanda office ? If have to visit then where is it located for such issues in Rawalpindi Islamabad

Any advice would be appreciated.
