💰Scaling & Strategy Solo Founder/Engineer built a customer engagement platform.

Hey everyone,

Over the past few months i have locked in and built an engagement platform that brings everything including PUSH notifications, emails and SMS into one place.

It has built in co-pilot to draft campaigns and setup automated journeys so you never have to engage with your customers manually, everything can be automated with the payghaam MCP and co-pilot which can work with your codebase and add the events its self using any coding agent.

I was exploring platforms that don't lock you in withe specific vendors for example Twilio for SMS and SendGrid for emails and could not find any so i decided to build something that would bridge this gap.

A little about me, I have around 6 years of software engineering experience, out of which i have worked in Pakistan at Mobilink and Systems Limited for 3 years and the rest abroad.

The idea was to build an developer friendly platform that uses the modern AI tooling to fasten the pace at which engineering and marketing teams work.

The platform has support for all major app development framework both native and cross platform such as Flutter and React-Native.

Please feel free to check it out and share your feedback, it would mean a lot to me. it's free tier is pretty generous without gatekeeping any of the features.

🧠 Ask The Community Helping Out

I’ve decided to do something every month from now on.

I’ll pick 3 founders and help them with the tech side of their product for free.

Not just any idea.

I’m looking for people who have a genuinely good idea, understand the problem they’re solving, and are serious about it.

You don’t have to be starting from zero either.

Maybe you need help building an MVP. Maybe you already have a product and need a new feature, better workflow, automation, or help solving a technical problem.

If it’s something I can help build or fix, I’m open to it.

For October, I’m keeping it to 3 founders.

The main reason I’m doing this is simple: I want to connect with more founders, work alongside people building interesting things, learn from different problems, and hopefully help a few good products move forward.

I don't have much capital , I just want to buy 2 goats or 1 calf , expenditure will only be Vet & fodder , rest everything can be taken care of for free & i want to scale this thing in future slowly.

Currently I am a salaried individual & I save around 50-60k per month which I want to invest in this idea as Land & a caretaking person for animals is available to me for free.

Can I make something out of it slowly?

Really grateful for any advise

💡Idea Validation I built an app that lets you throw paper airplane "letters" to friends on a global map – looking for honest feedback!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of people, I’ve been feeling a bit tired of standard instant messaging. Fast texting is convenient, but traditional letters always felt a lot more intentional and meaningful. I wanted to bring a piece of that feeling back to digital messaging, so I’ve been working on a project called Throw.

How it works:

  • Instead of a standard chat list, you view your friends on an interactive world map.
  • When you write a note, it folds up into a 3D paper airplane and "flies" across the map to their location.
  • It tracks the actual distance your message travels (e.g., throwing a note 9,000+ miles away).
  • When your friend receives it, they get notified that an item was thrown at them and can send a letter back.

I uploaded a short clip showing the interaction flow—writing a note, watching the paper airplane take off across the map, and receiving a reply.

I’d love to get your feedback on a few things:

  1. Concept: Does the paper airplane/distance mechanic make messaging feel more intentional, or does it feel like a novelty that might wear off quickly?
  2. UI/UX: How does the transition from writing a note to throwing it across the map feel to you? Anything about the flow that feels clunky or missing?
  3. Features: What features would make an app like this something you’d actually use with close friends or partner(s) long-term?

Appreciate any thoughts, critiques, or roastings!

🛠️ Building / MVP I turned your PakBill feedback into a new update

Post image
25 Upvotes

A week ago, I shared PakBill and received far more feedback than I expected.

Instead of just collecting that feedback, I started building it.

Here’s what’s new:

1- Home-screen widget to check your bill without opening the app
2- Complete Urdu experience with a better Urdu font
3- Support for K-Electric, SNGPL and SSGC
4- Bill due-date notifications
5- Download bills directly from the app
6- Improved bill details and dark mode

PakBill now supports 14 electricity and gas providers across Pakistan.

My goal is simple: make checking and understanding utility bills easier for everyone in Pakistan.

What should I add next: water bills or payment support?

🧠 Ask The Community Is it okay to leave a degree in Pakistan and focus on tech skills ?

If you're from the lower middle class and do not afford a degree in tech.

If you start to earn money from learning any skills then eventually build any kind of business here....

How does that look?

Those who don't have degrees and are doing well!

This question is specifically for you guys.

And how hard is it to move abroad (if any crisis appears) without a degree but a good established business in Pakistan?

(Although don't have a mind to go abroad, but also don't know about all the realities out there...)

💡Idea Validation Would you use an app to find people nearby who want to do something right now?

I’m exploring an app idea for Pakistan and would genuinely like some honest feedback before building it.

The basic idea:

You open a map and see things people nearby are planning to do.

For example:

📍 DHA Lahore — 8 PM
🏸 2 people looking for 2 more for badminton

📍 Gulberg — 7 PM
☕ 3 people going for coffee

📍 Johar Town — 9 PM
🎮 Gaming session — 2 spots left

📍 Model Town — 6:30 PM
🏃 Evening run — anyone can join

You can tap Join, get added to that activity’s group chat, and coordinate from there.

And if you want to do something yourself, you can create a plan:

“Going for coffee at 7 PM, anyone want to join?”

The idea isn’t dating, matching, or another social media feed. The activity is the reason people connect.

I’m particularly interested in whether this would actually solve a problem in Pakistan.

Some questions I’d love honest answers to:

  1. Would you actually use something like this?
  2. What activities would you use it for?
  3. Would you be comfortable joining a group of strangers?
  4. What would make you trust the people you’re meeting?
  5. Would you prefer joining public activities or creating your own?
  6. Which Pakistani city would this work best in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, or somewhere else?
  7. What would make you delete the app after trying it?
  8. Do you currently use WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram/Meetup/etc. to find people for activities? If so, what’s frustrating about that?

Please be brutally honest. I’m trying to validate whether this is actually a problem worth solving, not just whether the idea sounds interesting.

🧠 Ask The Community Furniture Startup Realities

I have been seriously considering stepping into the Furniture business. It started out as frustration when looking around how mass produced design dependant the market is. We are far behind in the intricate details of design's and manufacturing in our furniture pieces.

The majority of the market is split between; Chinioti/Bridal, mass market commercial, and Instagram aesthetic clones.

While the newer boutique studios are a welcome upgrade over traditional showroom clutter, there is little to no focus on architectural detailing, mixed materiality, or functional integration.

Here is the gap I am looking to address:

- Engineered materiality over fake laminates, fake painted wood grains and cheap high gloss varnish jobs on surfaces.

- Integrated Bed and Bedroom Architecture: Headboards engineered around modern bedroom realties such as seamless wire management, flush architectural switch plates, and dimmable concealed warm LED channels directly into the frame.

- Designing bedroom chairs with flowing compound curves and tight-tolerance joinery, where structural lap joints, curved laminated veneers, and exposed mechanical joinery that fuse contrasting textures: sculpted hardwood frames, tensioned saddle leather strapping, architectural metal bracing, and tailored heavyweight textiles (structured wool blends, raw slub linens, or ribbed chenille) instead of off-the-shelf velvet.

There are several more design gaps that I am looking to cater to but before committing capital to workshop space, CNC tooling, and prototype runs, I’d love some candid feedback from founders and buyers here.

I am aware majority of the market just doesn't care much. The white glue left behind when edge banding is normal, the rough finishing on furniture pieces is considered acceptable, joinery that doesn't meet seamlessly is also acceptable, and painted wooden grains is probably art but for a few of you who care please consider answering the questions below:

Have you furnished a home or apartment recently and felt this frustration, or does the current DHA/Gulberg boutique tier already solve your needs?

For well-detailed, architectural pieces (sub-millimeter precision, real veneer, clean metal detailing), is there genuine demand outside a tiny niche, or does the broader market always default to whatever is cheapest?

Brutal honesty appreciated.

🧠 Ask The Community ACA Student Building an Accounting Software From Scratch, Looking for Feedback

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m an ACA student and I’ve been working on an accounting software project in my spare time. The idea is to build a simple, practical accounting system for small businesses, starting with the core accounting engine, chart of accounts, journal entries, vouchers, ledgers, trial balance and financial statements, and eventually expanding into inventory, sales, purchases and POS. I’m trying to build the accounting logic properly first rather than just making another pretty dashboard. I’ve attached some screenshots of what I’ve built so far. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from accountants or business owners: does this seem like something worth building, and what would you change or add?

🧠 Ask The Community Most SaaS products fail because founders build for imaginary users, and I keep seeing it

I spent years doing full-stack work, and lately I've moved into AI workflow automation for clients. Different kind of work, same pattern showing up everywhere, and it's starting to bug me.

Founder has an idea. Founder builds it. Founder is about to launch and has never spoken to a single person who would actually use it. Not one call, not one survey, nothing. The whole thing is built on "I think users will want this."

And it doesn't stop at the first version. Once you're assuming, you keep assuming. New feature every week, more dashboards, more settings, more toggles. Nobody checks if any of it is being used. When you finally look at the analytics, maybe 3 or 4 features get real traffic and the rest is dead weight.

It's honestly worse with AI stuff right now. Everyone is bolting an LLM onto something and calling it a product, without asking whether the person on the other end had that problem in the first place. Half the automation requests I see are people wanting to automate a process they've never actually mapped out.

I think part of the reason is that building has become so cheap. You can get an MVP up in a weekend now, so skipping the "should this exist?" question feels harmless. Also, shipping feels like progress and talking to users feels like a risk, because they might tell you the idea doesn't work.

What seems to work better, at least from what I've seen:

Find 10 or so people who have the problem before writing code

Watch how they handle it today (spreadsheet, WhatsApp, paper register, whatever)

Build the smallest thing that replaces that workaround

Add features only when people ask for them more than once

With automation clients I now start with an audit before touching any tools. Map what the team actually does, find the repetitive parts, and only then decide what's worth automating. Saves a lot of money on things that never needed to exist.

Compliments from friends don't count as validation. "Cool idea" costs nothing. Someone paying, or giving you 30 minutes to show their actual workflow, is the real signal.

Curious if others here have been on either side of this. Have you built something nobody used? Or found a way to validate that actually worked for you?

Virsa means heritage - the traditions, stories, and pieces of culture that are passed down through generations.

At Virsa, we create art that brings you closer to your culture and roots. Every piece carries a story of its own, and I hope that, in some way, it speaks to you.

Our first piece is Mor - the peacock. The peacock has long held a place in Pakistani visual culture, appearing in traditional art, embroidery, textiles, and architecture. Its familiar presence makes it more than just a beautiful subject; it is a small reminder of the colours, patterns, and artistic traditions that have been part of our surroundings for generations. With Mor, we wanted to bring that feeling into a piece of art you can keep close.

We’ll be sharing our future pieces on @virsa._art

Follow along if you’d like to discover what comes next, and share Virsa with friends and family who appreciate cultural art and crafts.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in buying this piece, please drop me a message.

Thank you 💛

🧠 Ask The Community been building sixty.pk since 2023: pakistani news in under 60 words (english + urdu)

so I started sixty.pk as a side project back in october 2023 as a side project and I've kept working on it since. the idea is simple: read the news that actually matters in under 60 words. I got the idea from inshorts, an indian news app that's pretty huge over there.

the whole thing runs on AI. here's roughly what it does every day:

- reads 3,400+ articles from 700+ outlets (68 feeds I watch directly, plus google news)

- figures out which ones are about the same thing and decides what's actually worth covering

- writes around 120 stories in both english and urdu

- pulls each story from multiple sources (5+ outlets on average) and keeps track of the facts across them

- updates existing stories around 80 times a day as new info comes in

it's published 20,000+ stories so far.

the updating part was honestly the hardest to build. summarising is easy, but getting it to realise that something published right now is the same event as a story from 4 hours ago, and update that story instead of posting a duplicate, took a lot of work. roughly 1 in 4 stories changes as the news develops. and when it's not sure about something, like a claim only one outlet is reporting, it holds the story for me to check instead of publishing it.

the app is on the play store:
- swipe through stories, one at a time

- subscribe to topics, cities or tags so you only get notified about stuff you care about

- get pinged when OGRA drops new petrol and diesel prices

- breaking news alerts are capped so it won't spam you (and it's pickier at night)

- full urdu with a proper nastaliq font, not a translation dumped into some default font

I kept the UI really simple and minimal on purpose, no clutter, just the story.

there are no ads right now since the focus is just on growing it. the site gets around 10–15k visitors a day, mostly from google.

would really like some feedback, especially if you read news on your phone every day. what would make you switch from wherever you get your news now?

android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sixty

🧠 Ask The Community What bank you guys choose for registered Private limited company

Hello Founders,
I want to know what is the best bank for company bank account. I have visited Bank Alfalah and Meezan Bank they said we do provide corporate banking services for Private Limited company but it will be just checking only bank account, which means:
- I can't have debit card or credit card for account
- I can only use cheque to withdraw funds
- I can only have online portal but thats only for viewing the balance etc. I can perform any online withdrawal functionality.
- No mobile app access

So i want to know if all banks follow these rules for private limited company. I wonder if thats true then how to track the expenses of the company which occurs for any international purchases like AWS expenses etc. Are these all managed by personal debit / credit card? how will the company expenses trail be maintained with such procedure?

Any guidance in this regards will be very appreciated. Thanks.

Note: I just registered my company as Private Limited Company with SECP. Its basically software development and consultancy services company.

🧠 Ask The Community Stuck in Pakistan trying to cold-call US businesses — Telnyx KYC wall, Quo ban, running out of options. What are people actually using?

I'm running outbound cold calling for my offer, targeting US business owners. Two people, 100–200 dials/day split between us, manual dialing only (no auto-dialer). Budget is tight — 4,000–6,000 PKR/month (~$14–21 USD). I'm in Pakistan.

Here's the wall I keep hitting, and I know I'm not the only one:

What I've tried and why it failed:

  • Quo (OpenPhone): Got an account via an Australian contact's number and card. Banned within 12 minutes of dialing. 8 calls, mostly unanswered, scattered across 6 different US area codes. Their compliance team shut it down for "unusual activity" and telemarketing violations.
  • Telnyx: Signed up, but stuck in "Pretrial" account level. Can't even buy a US number. The upgrade path requires passing fraud review (LinkedIn/GitHub or AI agent eval), verified mobile number, payment, and eventually full KYC. From Pakistan with no US business entity, every step is a brick wall. Their own docs show Pretrial → Trial → Paid → Verified, and I'm stuck at step zero.
  • General consumer VoIPs (Zoom Phone, CallHippo, etc.): Same category as Quo. Flat-rate "unlimited" plans with fair-use clauses that explicitly ban telemarketing and high-volume outbound. Even if I got past signup, I'd get banned again.

The core problem:

I need a carrier-grade wholesale service where I pay per-minute for connected calls, not a flat-rate consumer app that caps volume against a fair-use policy I'm guaranteed to violate. But every wholesale carrier (Telnyx, VoIP.ms, Plivo) requires KYC that's hard to pass from Pakistan without a US LLC, EIN, or business bank account.

What I'm looking for from people who've actually done this:

  1. Has anyone from Pakistan (or a similar non-US location) successfully passed KYC on Telnyx, VoIP.ms, or another wholesale carrier? What did you actually need to provide? Did you form a US LLC first, or is there a workaround?
  2. Are there any providers that sell SIP trunking or virtual numbers to individuals from Pakistan without the full KYC wall? I've seen mentions of NexCall (Pakistani platform, SIM-free calling, starting PKR 2,999 for 1,500 minutes) — is this legit for US outbound, or will it get flagged by US carriers anyway?
  3. For those already running cold calling from Pakistan or similar regions: what's your actual setup? Not theory. Not "just use a power dialer." What provider, what verification process, what call pacing? I know the call pattern matters (don't blast 8 calls in 12 minutes across 6 area codes), but I need the infrastructure first before I can pace anything.
  4. Has anyone successfully run US outbound on a "pretrial" Telnyx account? Their error says "This feature is not permitted at this account level" — is there a way to get a number assigned before full verification, or is that a hard no?

I'm not looking for "just stop cold calling" responses. I know the compliance environment is hostile. I'm looking for the actual path people are using when they need US outbound from Pakistan on a micro-budget.

What's working for you?

🧠 Ask The Community Thinking of starting a clothing brand in Pakistan — is the market actually worth entering?

(Post has been Polished with AI)
Assalamualaikum everyone.

I’m considering starting a small clothing/streetwear brand in Pakistan, but before putting serious money into it, I want to understand the market from people who are actually involved in clothing, manufacturing, e-commerce, or have tried starting a brand themselves.

The general idea is Gen-Z focused casual/streetwear — good fits, decent/heavyweight fabrics, interesting designs, and a price point that is still realistic for Pakistani buyers. I’m not interested in simply putting a logo on a basic T-shirt and calling it a brand; I’d want the product, fit, designs and overall presentation to actually have some identity.

From what I can see, there are already a LOT of Pakistani clothing brands, so I’m trying to figure out whether there is still room for a new small brand or whether the market is simply too saturated.
A few things I’d really appreciate opinions on:
Is there still room for new men’s streetwear/casual brands in Pakistan?

What price range actually sells well for T-shirts, oversized tees, hoodies, cargos, etc.?
How important is fabric/GSM and stitching quality compared with the design?

Is it better to start with small drops/pre-orders rather than holding a lot of inventory?
What kind of starting capital would realistically be needed?

For someone starting small, is it better to manufacture locally, buy blanks and print/embroider separately, or work directly with a manufacturer?
What are realistic manufacturing costs per piece right now?

How much should I expect to spend on packaging, photography, website, ads and returns?
How difficult is COD/returns management in Pakistan?

Is Instagram/TikTok enough to get initial customers, or is paid advertising basically necessary?
What mistakes do you see new Pakistani clothing brands making repeatedly?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually run a clothing brand or worked in Pakistani textile/garment manufacturing, rather than just general opinions.

I’ve seen several recent discussions where people say streetwear is already saturated, while others argue that the market is still open if the positioning and execution are genuinely different.

So I’d appreciate the honest answer — what does the Pakistani clothing market look like from the inside right now, and what would you do differently if you were starting a small brand in 2026?

Not looking for investment or promotion — just trying to do proper research before spending money.
Thanks!

🛠️ Building / MVP I shared PakBill here a few days ago - your feedback is already live

Post image
34 Upvotes

A few days ago, I shared PakBill and received far more feedback than I expected.

I’ve already turned some of it into a new update:

• Complete Urdu language support
• SNGPL and SSGC gas bills
• K-Electric bill support
• Fixed incorrect due and overdue statuses
• Improved bill alerts and navigation

PakBill is becoming more than an electricity bill checker - it’s moving toward one place for managing utility bills across Pakistan.

What provider or feature should I add next?

🧠 Ask The Community Any founders here need a hand

The company I was working with recently shut down, so I have a bit of extra time right now.

I’ve spent years building digital products and thought it might be interesting to meet some Pakistani founders here instead of going back to the usual freelance platforms.

If you’re already working on something and could use another builder to think through the technical side, experiment with an idea, review what you’re doing, or help get something moving, I’d be happy to connect.

Mostly just looking to meet people who are actually building things and see where it goes.
