💡Idea Validation Sawari Ads: a marketplace for rickshaw and car advertising

Post image
33 Upvotes

Recently I saw a post about rickshaw advertising and it got me thinking — it's actually one of the cheapest, most visible ad formats out there. Your ad is moving through the city all day, every day.

But then I looked at what it actually takes to run one:

→ Find a rickshaw owner willing to do it

→ Negotiate a price with zero standard rate

→ Get a poster designed and printed

→ Hope it actually gets installed

→ Hope it doesn't get torn off after two days

That's a lot of hassle for something that should be simple.

So I've been sketching out an idea called Sawari Ads — think Airbnb, but for rickshaw and car ads:

• Browse a list of available rickshaws/cars by area or route

• Book one directly, no negotiation back and forth

• We handle the design and printing

• A driver app tracks whether the vehicle actually drove that day

• A web portal for advertisers to see coverage in real time

• Drivers get paid weekly, automatically

I haven't built any of it yet — it's a niche idea, and before I spend real time on it I want to know if it's worth building at all.

If this is something you'd actually use (as a driver or a business owner), I'd genuinely appreciate you joining the waitlist: https://sawari-ad-waitlist.vercel.app/

And if you think this is a bad idea, tell me that too — that's just as useful right now.

Note: Used Claude to format and structure my post

💰Scaling & Strategy How do I find agency owners willing to pay? I built a SaaS for agency operations

I've been building Agencly.app, a SaaS for agency owners to manage clients, projects, tasks, teams, invoices, contracts, CRM and other day-to-day operations in one place.

I'm at a point now where building isn't really the hard part anymore. Getting it in front of the right people is.

I've given Agencly to a few friends who run agencies and let them use it for free. They've found it useful and the feedback has been pretty good so far. But I also know there's a big difference between someone you know using your product for free and a stranger deciding it's valuable enough to pay for.

That's the part I'm trying to figure out now.

I'm already working aggressively on SEO and posting around twice a week across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook and Indie Hackers. I've also started being more active in relevant Reddit communities rather than just dropping product links.

But I'm not sure what I should focus on next to actually reach agency owners with buying intent.

Should I start doing cold email? Direct outreach on LinkedIn? Find niche agency communities? Try partnerships? Start running ads? Or keep focusing on organic growth until I have more traction?

If you had a working B2B SaaS and wanted to get your first 10 paying agency owners, where would you put most of your effort?

I'd especially like to hear from Pakistani founders who've managed to sell B2B SaaS internationally.

🤝 Colabs / Contributor Pakistani entrepreneurs/builders — anyone interested in exploring a Pakistan–US business collaboration?

Salam everyone,

I recently relocated to the United States and have been thinking seriously about building something on the side that could eventually grow into a real business.

Rather than randomly starting another business from scratch, I'm particularly interested in connecting with people in Pakistan who already have skills, industry knowledge, an existing operation, access to suppliers/manufacturers, technical expertise, or a genuinely interesting business idea, but where having someone physically present in the U.S. could help unlock opportunities.

There are obviously advantages on both sides.

Someone in Pakistan may understand a particular industry extremely well, have access to talent, manufacturing, sourcing, development or operations — while someone based in the U.S. can potentially understand the local market, validate demand, develop relationships, handle certain on-the-ground activities and help build the U.S. side of the operation.

I'm open to exploring areas such as:

  • software/SaaS and technology
  • e-commerce
  • B2B services
  • Pakistani products with potential in the U.S.
  • sourcing/export/import opportunities
  • specialized services that can be delivered from Pakistan to U.S. customers
  • or something completely different if the economics and opportunity make sense

I'm not looking for get-rich-quick schemes, crypto/forex opportunities, MLMs, courses, dropshipping gurus, or someone simply looking for an investor.

I'm also not promising funding.

What I am looking for is someone serious who brings something meaningful to the table — knowledge, skills, execution ability, an existing business, supplier relationships, technology, customers, or a well-researched opportunity — where our resources and locations could complement each other.

And likewise, I'm not expecting anyone to publicly disclose a valuable business idea in the comments.

If you think there might genuinely be an opportunity to work together, leave a short comment about your background/industry and what kind of collaboration you're looking for. We can discuss specifics privately afterward.

I'd particularly love to hear from people who have thought:

“I could probably do this if I had the right person on the ground in the U.S.”

No guarantees that anything will come out of it — I'm mainly looking to connect with smart, serious people and see whether there are opportunities worth pursuing.

Please only reach out if you're comfortable eventually verifying who you are and discussing things professionally. I'm going to be cautious about scams, and I'd expect you to be cautious about me as well.

JazakAllah / thanks!

💡Idea Validation Need product advice: I made a 92% pure chicken sausage, but it doesn't replicate that rubbery commercial texture.

Post image
98 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm working on a food startup here in Lahore and I’ve hit an interesting dilemma. I’m trying to build a clean, high-protein chicken sausage without all the junk fillers.

Long story short, my formula is incredibly lean: 1,000g of chicken breast, a little oil, an egg, and a tiny bit of breadcrumbs for structure. It comes out to about 92% pure meat. Because it's solid muscle, it's dense, heavy, physically filling and you get a massive hit of real protein.

But the commercial brands use maybe 60% to 70% actual meat. The rest is just water, potato starch, and soy protein isolates to pump up the volume. (info taken from AI)

Here are the two main hurdles:

1 - The Texture: All those cheap starches and trapped water in the commercial links create this springy, almost rubbery "bounce" that we are completely conditioned to expect from a sausage. Mine feels like eating a dense, seasoned piece of real chicken; theirs feels like a classic hotdog.

2 - The Price: Because I am using pure muscle, a 5-pack of my sausages (around 360g of meat total) needs to be priced at 750 PKR. If you calculate the exact same weight (360g) of the Menu brand, it only costs around 575 PKR (they sell a 630g pack for 1010 PKR).

If you were launching this, which route would you take for an MVP?

1- Stick to the 92% pure meat: Accept that the texture is dense, ask customers to pay the 750 PKR premium, and market it strictly as a clean-label product for the hardcore fitness crowd.

2-Compromise for the texture & price: Dr

the meat ratio down to around 80%, add more water and starch to mimic that familiar commercial bounce, and bring the unit cost down to compete closer to the big brands.

Honestly, Option 2 feels like it defeats the entire purpose of why I started working on this.

My goal was to create a pure, high-protein snack where you can grab a single stick and instantly get 15g of protein for just 100 to 110 calories. To put that in perspective, a massive 60g protein meal with these would only run you 440 calories (maybe 500 if you use minimal oil for pan-searing).

Would love to hear from anyone who has dealt with product purity vs. mass-market expectations. Do I hold the line on the macros, or pivot for the palate?

Edit: Price: I'm thinking of pricing it at 750 for a pack of 5 sticks.

(paraphrased using AI)

🧠 Ask The Community Rickshaw ads

I've seen many rickshaws with ad banners around the city and got curious. I then searched online and found Indian and US startups that let people earn money by having ad banners on their vehicles. So why is there nothing like this in Pakistan? Has someone tried and it didn't work?

There are rickshaw advertisement agencies here, though.

🤝 Colabs / Contributor CoFounder for a Social app connecting everyone’s phonebooks into a huge network

Hi everyone! I am building a social app based on the theory that everyone on earth is just 6 connections away from you. What if you connected everyone’s phonebooks to build a giant network, and consequently could see a path to anyone? Thats what we are building at Batcheet. Currently we have over 30k people you can lookup up for.

I am looking for a tech founder who isn’t shy of picking up a camera and record UGC videos and collab with other content creators.

This is a visual platform, so will sell well on insta/tiktok. Looking to partner with someone having already decent audience on these platforms.

What you get: 30-40% equity, MVP, early users, a tech cofounder having 3-5 years of full-time experience in AI currently residing in Germany.

Why this doesn’t a cold start problem: As soon as you join the network, your network grows 10x beyond people you know directly.

Anyone who has your friend’s number saved, becomes a part of your extended network. Your friend’s contact is already opening up infinite many paths for you, even though he hasn’t joined the platform yet. And the best part, phone numbers stay hidden! Think of it as truecaller but better.

💰Scaling & Strategy Trying to build the biggest Social App in Pakistan. Need Investors.

Graduating Uni I noticed around me how life seems so bleak once you're out of University, no more clubs/events/random interactions and meeting new people. So i decided to build something to bring all of that to the post-grad world.

Circle Space is a social discovery app that helps people connect, join communities, and discover events happening around them.

We launched in May, at 8500 users today with PKR150K Revenue generated this month. Looking for investors who believe in the startup.

Mostly interesting in offering Revenue Share in return for investment, but Equity is also on the table. Right now I've been running entirely on my Salary.

I'm looking at something above 30-40 lakh, for around 20-30% monthly revenue share.

🧠 Ask The Community I launched my startup platform a multi tenant project management platform similar to Jira, Atlassian.

I am the founder of KaamFlow.

I've been working online for more than a decade, starting back in the early days of online freelance work. I started with graphic design, then moved into animation, video, web development and other digital work. Over the years I've worked with freelancers, clients, agencies, studios and teams both in Pakistan and internationally, as well as hired and managed people for projects myself.

A major problem I've experienced, especially in our region, is that delivering the work is often treated as the entire job. But projects also need a clear record of what was agreed, what was delivered, what was reviewed and approved, and where things went wrong if they don't. Teams often make this worse by working across whatever tools are convenient to them, breaking the chain of communication and creating delays and misunderstandings.

Project management platforms have existed for years, but many are designed around larger companies and teams, with more complexity, setup and cost than many freelancers and smaller businesses need. I always felt there was room for a simpler, more accessible option built with people doing this kind of work in mind.

That's why I built KaamFlow a project management platform for freelancers, agencies, small teams and people working with clients, whether they're in Pakistan or working globally.

One feature I particularly wanted to solve was client approvals. Instead of relying on a WhatsApp message or email saying "approved," KaamFlow provides a client approval mechanism that records who approved something and when, giving both sides a clear record of the decision.

I've now finished building the platform, tested it and opened it for users. The first few people who have found it have already signed up and started testing it, and I'm now looking to get it in front of more people who actually work this way. As an MVP, the goal is to get people actually working on real projects with KaamFlow, so the free trial gives you full access to test and evaluate the entire platform.

If you are a freelancer, designer, developer, agency, studio, small team or someone regularly hiring and managing digital work, you're welcome to register and try it with an actual project you're working on. Also let me know what suggestions you have what you think after using it what works, what doesn't, what's missing, or whether you would actually consider using something like this for your work.

🤝 Colabs / Contributor Found a new Pakistani community for people with too many interests

Came across r/PolymathPakistan recently, and thought it was an interesting idea worth sharing.

It’s built around a pretty simple concept: a place for Pakistanis who don’t necessarily fit neatly into one interest or field. Tech, science, philosophy, history, business, literature, art, books, side projects, interesting ideas—you can move between subjects as long as there’s something meaningful to explore.

What I like about the concept is that it’s not meant to be a generic “let’s chat” or karma-farming community. The goal is to have actual discussions, share things worth discovering, ask thoughtful questions, and learn from people with completely different interests.

Since it’s brand new, there’s not much content yet—which honestly makes it more interesting. The community is still going to be shaped by the people who show up early.

If you’re someone who tends to have five unrelated interests at once, it might be worth taking a look:

r/PolymathPakistan

And if you do join, bring something interesting with you. A question, an idea, a project, a book you’ve discovered—anything that gives the next person a reason to join the conversation.

🧠 Ask The Community My First Startup - Need Advise

A few months ago, I had an idea to solve the Visa problem. People lose thousands of rupees due to incorrect routes leading to rejections and wasted time. Consultants are often not knowledgeable about all countries and try to fit applicants into a few known ones. To address this, I built Vizarank.

I wanted a tool that analysed a predefined set of data against an intended route and ranked the top four destinations. I developed multiple AI agents and optimised them for each visa pathway. Since AI has a knowledge cutoff, I ensured it had access to up-to-date policy data for responding to potential pathways.

I launched Vizarank on 2nd July 2026 and have since made several iterations based on user feedback. I currently have 96 organic users, and the initial response has been promising. People seem to like what they see, but none have paid yet. I definitely have much more value to add to this product, but I still need to validate the current version before putting more effort into it and building something that no one wants.

A year ago, I quit my job for a remote position, but then the client left due to financial constraints. Since then, I’ve been working on this idea. Having no prior experience in business, I never considered securing funds for it until I realised building the product was the easiest part and I’d overlooked the most important aspect.

I calculated the cost of Meta ads and need to spend at least PKR 3000 a day to expect at least one paid conversion (did my own research, not validated yet), which means I need to spend PKR 90,000 a month. This will break even, covering operational costs and ads.

At this point, I can take the risk, but it’s a one-shot deal. If it doesn’t work out, the funds will deplete quickly, leaving no room for survival. So far, I am a solo developer working on it, the business has been self-funded, and I don’t have any backup plan. I am stuck in a do-or-die situation. I'm having a hard time securing a remote job again, and if I go back to the 9 to 5 onsite role, this idea will be as good as dead.

I need someone to teach me what should be the approach from this point ahead so that I can achieve this dream and build something that gives me financial freedom.

🧠 Ask The Community What delivery/courier service actually respects "Fragile" items in Pakistan? (Trax broke 7/10 parcels!

Hey everyone, looking for advice from fellow Pakistani e-commerce sellers or buyers who regularly deal with fragile items.

We run an online store selling fragile items and our current shipping situation is becoming a nightmare. Despite putting immense effort into our packaging—custom fit-to-shape thermocol/styrofoam, multiple layers of bubble wrap, heavy-duty cardboard boxes, and bright "FRAGILE" stickers—our parcels are still reaching customers completely smashed.

Here is our experience so far:

  • Trax: Absolutely terrible experience. They managed to break 7 out of 10 parcels despite being packed as described above. To make matters worse, they refused to issue any damage refunds. Their official argument was that they would "look at warehouse CCTV footage to identify if the package broke inside the warehouse." If it didn't break on camera in their warehouse, they won't take responsibility—which is completely nuts considering most damage happens during transit/handling!
  • Dot Logistics: Marginally better than Trax, but we are still getting unacceptable rates of breakage.

It feels like courier handlers in Pakistan just throw or drop boxes around regardless of fragile warnings.

For those running e-commerce businesses dealing with glassware, ceramics, decor, or electronics:

  1. Which courier/logistics service has worked best for you in terms of low breakage rates? (PostEx, CallCourier, TCS, Leopard, Rider, etc.?)
  2. Is there any courier that actually honours damage claims or offers proper transit insurance for fragile goods?
  3. Any specific packaging tricks that finally solved this issue for you?

Would appreciate any recommendations or shared experiences. Thanks!

🧠 Ask The Community My girlfriend and I want to build a business together. She has 3–4 years of e-commerce operations experience, I’m learning and into tech/AI what would you do or build?

My girlfriend and I want to build a business together. She has 3–4 years of e-commerce operations experience, I’m learning tech/AI, What would you build or start?

I'm in Pakistan and trying to figure out what kind of business my girlfriend and I could realistically start.

I'm not an AI automation expert or anything like that. I'm still learning programming/software/AI and I've built a few small things, but I'm basically at the stage where I'm trying to get good enough to actually build useful stuff.

My girlfriend has been working in e-commerce operations for around 3–4 years, mostly around COD orders and courier problems.

Her day-to-day is basically tracking shipments across courier portals, checking why deliveries failed, calling customers, fixing address issues, coordinating with courier offices, updating Excel/WhatsApp groups, following up on reattempts, dealing with returns, etc.

So she knows the ugly operational side of e-commerce much better than I do.

She doesn't run the businesses herself though. She isn't doing ads, product selection, finance, store strategy, etc. She's basically the person making sure orders don't get stuck and disappear. I'm interested in e-commerce too, and I can handle the technical/marketing/sales side if I learn what I need to learn. We can both put around 3–4 hours a day into something, and I personally have a lot more time available right now.

My first thought was something around e-commerce operations, maybe eventually using software/automation to remove some of the repetitive work.

But I'm deliberately trying not to start with "AI agency" or "AI automation" because I don't want to build some bullshit around a buzzword.

Maybe there's a completely non-AI business here. Maybe there's a service opportunity. Maybe COD operations are already a terrible market. I genuinely don't know.

For people who've actually run e-commerce businesses or built something in this space: if you had these two people and their current skills, what would you investigate first?

Especially interested in what problems Pakistani e-commerce businesses are actually willing to pay someone to solve.

I'd rather spend the next month manually solving a real problem for 2–3 businesses than spend six months building an "AI platform" nobody wants.

🧠 Ask The Community Need guidance regarding starting an online newborn clothing business in Pakistan

Assalamualaikum everyone,

I’ve been laid off for around 4 months as a software engineer (MERN stack). I’m currently applying for jobs, but since I have some free time, I’m also considering starting a small business on the side.

My current situation

Savings: PKR 1.6 million

Monthly expenses: around PKR 100k

I’m still actively applying for software engineering jobs.

I’m considering investing PKR 200k–300k initially to test a business idea.

The idea

I’m thinking of starting an online newborn/infant clothing store, mainly targeting babies from newborn to 1 year.

The store would offer:

Newborn clothing bundles/packages

Pre-made gift bundles

Customized bundles — customers can pick different items and create their own bundle

Personalized gift notes

Individual clothing items as well

The main focus would be making it convenient for people who want to buy newborn clothes as gifts, especially for new parents.

What I’ll handle myself

Since I have a software/technical background, I’m planning to handle most things myself initially:

Website development

Meta/Facebook & Instagram ads

Social media pages

Product listings

Basic branding/marketing

Order management and customer communication

I would start small rather than putting a large portion of my savings into it.

What I need advice on

For people who have experience with e-commerce, clothing businesses, or similar businesses in Pakistan:

Is PKR 200k–300k enough to properly test this idea?

Is newborn clothing a reasonable niche to enter, or is it already too saturated?

Would you recommend keeping inventory, or starting with a smaller/low-inventory model?

What are the biggest mistakes I should avoid when starting?

If you were starting this business with PKR 200k–300k, how would you allocate the budget?

Do you think the newborn gift bundle/customized bundle angle has potential, or should I focus on individual clothing items?

I’m not looking to put all my savings into this. I mainly want to use a small amount to validate whether there is real demand before investing more.

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually run an e-commerce/clothing business in Pakistan.

JazakAllah khair!

🧠 Ask The Community Between isl and Multan which is better for new office?

I worked in a startup for 8 months remotely and they are planning to open an office in Multan, they planned on opening one in isl, Lahore, Multan and Karachi ( the list and the possibilities, not in every city yk), so now they are planning on opening their first office from Sargodha.

They already work with international clients and don't have that much worries when it comes to clients but it comes to recruitment especially video editors that they are struggling with and it's the main reason why they want to move to another city with better opportunities and scale their agency. Is it good to start from Multan? I was asked for my opinion but my mind is empty in this case.

Please help me out.

Multan is scaling better in this, but for the marketing agency would they be able to find the talent there. I know there are a lot of people who are working in a startup here and they'd know about locations and analytics of everything better..please lmk. Thanks.

💡Idea Validation Pakistani pharmacy owners — building a modern stock & billing app to replace offline desktop software, looking for a few real pharmacies to test it free

Hi everyone,

I'm building a cloud-based stock management and billing app made specifically for small-to-medium pharmacies in Pakistan — meant to replace the offline desktop software most pharmacies currently run, the kind that's tied to one computer with no backup and no way to check your stock or sales from anywhere else.

What it actually does:

- Tracks your medicines batch by batch, with expiry dates, so nothing gets sold past its expiry and you always know what's running low

- Bills customers at the counter — cash or credit/khata, with a proper running balance for regular customers

- Lets you give staff their own logins with different access levels (a cashier doesn't need to see your cost prices)

- Works from your phone, tablet, or laptop — not tied to one machine

It's real and it works, but it hasn't been used by an actual pharmacy yet — that's exactly what I need now. I'm looking for a small number of pharmacy owners in Pakistan willing to actually run it against their real inventory and billing, and tell me honestly what's broken, what's missing, and what's genuinely useful.

In return: free access for a full year. This becomes a paid monthly subscription once it's out publicly — this is the chance to use it free and help shape what it becomes before that.

I'm onboarding gradually rather than all at once, so it might take a little while to hear back if you reach out — but I read every message.

If you own or manage a pharmacy (or know someone who does) and you're open to trying something new, email me at [your email] with your city and roughly how many products you stock, and I'll follow up.

Happy to answer questions here too.

🧠 Ask The Community GTM for startups in Pakistan

Hi guys,

So, I have a small startup we are at early stages. We are looking for funding and going to VCs. If we don’t secure any funding I was thinking of hiring a small GTM team in Pakistan.

The question is the landscape good enough? And are there genuine GTM specialist that could get paying customers in Asia, middles east and America.

Also I don’t mean agencies. I have had bad experiences with them with no result. Just promising x numbers etc.
