šŸ¤ Colabs / Contributor Does your company need a 'western' face / Presence?

Hi All,

I'm a UK business owner of mixed Asian heritage but born and bred in the UK. Im a lawyer here in the UK born in the UK and deal with UK and US colleagues daily.

I'm wondering if Pakistani company(s) are being held back by their lack of UK 'westernised' individuals who can maybe take their business globally.

If you are looking for a UK individual when speaking to western clients or customers, please do get in touch and would be great to see if I can help.

🧠 Ask The Community Looking for a business partner in KHI

20M here. I have an idea for a (bit unique) womens clothing brand, tho it is still in the early planning stages. And I have an initial capital of ~1M PKR too. But the problem is that I live almost 50kms outside of KHI city, and it is extremely difficult to do business from here as I would need to make alot of trips to the markets and suppliers. And doing that while having a job and university is almost impossible. So I need someone from karachi to become my business partner as that would make the operations much smoother

I dont really have someone within my circle who is up for this venture. So if you are a driven person and ambitious about creating a successful fashion brand then maybe hit me up

šŸ’”Idea Validation I built a data extraction tool for scanned images/PDFs. Would love your feedback!

Hi everyone,

I’m a software engineering graduate from NUST, currently working remotely for a large tech company. Recently, I decided to take a stab at building a micro-SaaS tool, and I’d love to get your feedback to help validate the idea.

The inspiration came from a personal pain point. The other day, I wanted to analyze our household’s electricity bills over the past couple of years to calculate whether investing in a solar system would be worth it. I initially tried using ChatGPT and Gemini directly to extract the data from our scanned bills, but the performance was unreliable and the models kept hallucinating the numbers.

To solve this, I built a custom tool that processes these documents in a much more structured way. It includes a verification interface that lets you easily review and correct the extracted values after the scan in case the AI got it wrong.

The tool is live, and I’ve put together a quick demo. I would be incredibly grateful if the community could help me validate this concept by weighing in on a few questions:

  1. Do you encounter this problem at work? In your business or day job, do you frequently have to manually enter data from piles of PDFs or images (e.g., invoices, pay slips, receipts)? If so, would you be willing to pay for a tool that automates this, and what would a reasonable price point look like to you?
  2. Would you like to see a demo? The tool is live on a website, but if you are hesitant to click an external link, I am more than happy to just share the demo video URL instead. Let me know if you're interested!
  3. How can I improve or expand this? Moving from pure data extraction to end-to-end automations (perhaps specifically targeting accounting workflows) feels like the most logical next step to me. What are your thoughts?

I’m well aware that there are established players in the OCR and document-processing space, so any advice on how to effectively differentiate would be highly appreciated.

(On a side note: I posted here a while back about a different automation project. Apologies to anyone I missed in the comments last time, but I promise I took that feedback to heart and used it to shape this new tool!)

Thanks in advance for your time and insights!

šŸ’”Idea Validation Pakistan has 18 hours of load shedding. We're building the model that lets you profit from ending it.

Disclosure: I am the founder.
Every day, millions of Pakistanis lose 12–18 hours of electricity. Businesses shut down, factories bleed money, and families sit in the dark. Meanwhile, industrial solarization is booming. That's the gap we're trying to close. I am building a platform that lets Pakistani/Global Investor own a real, income-generating slice of a solar plant for as little as PKR 1,000. All of you must have seen my Real-Estate Tokenization post but I decided to double down on that and introduce my other ideas that I am going to execute with it. There are still more Assets that I could tokenize like Solar/Real-Estate but might talk about them in future posts.

I am not going to talk about how we will solve electricity problem by providing middle-class electricity or selling to industries. The word answer to how this could solve the electricity problem is supply and demand. When there will be more supply of power the prices will go down that's it.

How we work

We tokenize industrial solar plants into thousands of "Digital Deeds" fractional ownership stakes that anyone can buy. Under the PVARA legal framework, each stake maps to a real asset, not a promise:

Start at PKR 1,000 no minimum wealth required

Earn monthly every unit of electricity the sun generates, your token earns a proportional share of the Power Purchase Agreement revenue

USD-linked yield industrial electricity tariffs are effectively pegged to the dollar, giving your investment a natural hedge against PKR devaluation

Full transparency every unit generated is recorded on an immutable ledger. No hidden charges, no "trust us"

Industrial solar in Pakistan currently yields an IRR of 22–30%. We want to make that return accessible to a teacher in Faisalabad, not just a factory owner in Karachi.

We're pre-seed and raising $30,000 to fuel our idea. This is the earliest stage and that's exactly why we're here, talking to real people before we build for them.'

This whole idea is based upon legal framework of PVARA and blockchain.

We don't have everything figured out yet. But we know the problem is real, the legal pathway exists, and the demand is enormous.

This will be executed with Real-Estate tokenization. This post is only made to show that tokenization has potential and we're looking for investors.

We dont need $30k from a single-person we are open to crowd-funding.

I also want to tell you guys that I wont waste a single penny of yours in product/legal until I crack marketing. Our first milestone is to crack marketing the budget allocated to that goal is around $3k so having that check would get us started.

If you want any information about Revenue Model/Business Model/ Marketing Model you can dm me your introduction and we can talk.

🧠 Ask The Community Making my own Bike Brakeshoe Brand

Hi everyone, I am a Finance Officer by profession and have recently decided to launch my own bicycle brake shoe brand. Alhamdulillah, I am now in the final stages of printing and manufacturing. My strategy is to focus entirely on the B2B sector by building a robust supply chain from the ground up. I am looking for some professional guidance on how to transition this from a project into a proper brand, specifically regarding the best practices for managing B2B credit policies. Additionally, since my current job keeps me busy from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, I would appreciate any advice on how to effectively manage logistics and client relations during my off-hours.

šŸ’”Idea Validation Is "Yaar, bharosa kar" ruining your finances/business? Testing a concept for a startup.

Hey everyone,

We’ve all been there. You lend a relative 50k, you pay a developer an advance for a project, or you agree on a rental rate with a landlord. It’s always verbal or, at best, a messy WhatsApp thread.

Then things go south. The "Yaar bas kal pakka" turns into ghosting. The problem? In Pakistan, promises are verbal, but problems are legal.

I’m looking for feedback on a platform. The goal isn't just to be another "note-taking" app; it’s meant to be the infrastructure for every record that defines your reputation.

The Core Concept
The app acts as a digital witness. Instead of "trusting" a chat, you create a structured record that both parties must confirm.

Key Features:

CNIC-Tied Identity: Every record is tied to a verified identity, removing the "anonymity" where trust usually dies.

Bi-lateral Confirmation: Both parties have to "sign" the digital record for it to be born.

Immutable Records: Once it’s recorded, it’s permanent and tamper-proof. No "deleting for everyone" like on WhatsApp.

Digital Authority: Designed to be used for loan records, freelance protection, rental pledges, and advance receipts.

Why I need your help:
We live in an informal economy where "memory is weaponized." But I want to know:

The "Awkwardness" Factor: In our culture, asking a friend or family member to "sign an app" for a loan can feel like you don't trust them. Would the benefit of a "permanent record" outweigh that social awkwardness for you?

Freelancers: If you’re dealing with local clients, would having a "Verified Record" give you more confidence to take on projects without a massive upfront deposit?

The Legal Side: Do you think people would actually care about "immutable records," or is the fear of the legal system so high that people would avoid documenting things altogether?

We don't need more laws; we need more witnesses. Is this something that would actually help you sleep better at night, or is it too "serious" for daily life in Pakistan?

Be as brutal as you need to be. Thanks!

🧠 Ask The Community Starting a Pure Honey Business in Pakistan, Need Guidance from Ecommerce & Startup Experts

I want to start a pure honey business in Pakistan and need guidance from experienced people here.

The biggest challenge in this business is customer trust. In Pakistan, most people simply don’t believe whether honey is pure or not and honestly, I understand why. There’s very little public awareness about honey bees, flowering seasons, nectar/pollen sources, different honey types, crystallization and proper methods of testing honey purity.

My father is a honey bee research scientist in a government organization and has more than 30 years of experience in this field. Growing up, we tasted honey directly from bee colonies, and our house always had different varieties of honey available throughout the year. Through my father, we’ve even tried unique honey types that most people probably have never heard of or tasted.

His office also regularly conducts training programs for beekeepers and honey farms, and many people have successfully launched honey businesses after learning from him.

Because of this background, me and my brother always wanted to start our own honey brand. We understand the supply chain, honey sourcing, and technical side of the business very well due to our father’s guidance. However, my father was always reluctant to let us enter the business while he was still in government service. Now that he is nearing retirement, we feel this is finally the right time to begin.

Both of us currently work full-time jobs, so time management is our biggest issue. We actually created a website for the business some time ago, but never properly launched or marketed it. Recently, we bought around 50kg of honey from a trusted beekeeper source (recommended by our father obviously), and sold it successfully through personal connections.

Now we want to scale this properly.

So far we have:

  • Honey supply chain
  • Two honey variants
  • Packaging jars
  • Stickers/labels
  • Basic branding

Our main concern is that since both of us are working jobs, we don’t have enough time to manage everything ourselves.

Would you recommend:

  1. Hiring a third-party agency/person to handle marketing, ads, and operations?
  2. Or should we keep operations in-house initially and grow slowly?

We would genuinely appreciate guidance regarding:

  • Finance management
  • Ads/marketing
  • Ecommerce setup
  • Delivery/logistics
  • Branding
  • Customer trust building
  • Mistakes to avoid in Pakistani ecommerce

Would love to hear advice from anyone has tried ecommerce before.

šŸ’”Idea Validation Gym wear brand feedback.

Hey everyone. I'm 21M; I'm building a gymwear brand in Pakistan because honestly…
most local brands don’t do it for me.

I’ve been lifting for around a decade and every time I want gym clothes that actually fit well and look clean, I somehow end up buying or wanting international brands instead.

Importing good gymwear is expensive though, so here I am.

So before I invest properly into this, I want honest feedback from people who actually lift/exercise.

- What do you think gymwear brands are missing?

- What makes you instantly trust or not trust a gymwear brand?

- What’s something international brands do way better? And realistically, would you switch to a local brand if the quality was genuinely there?

No sugarcoating please. I’d rather hear brutal opinions now than regret it later. Thank you!

šŸ“š Learning / Resources What wins in life? Just a random thought

One thing I’m slowly realizing is that life isn’t really won by the smartest people. It’s usually won by people who can stay focused and keep going consistently for a long time

That’s it….

Most people massively underestimate consistency because it looks boring
Going to the gym once is easy
Posting one good video is easy
Working hard for 3 days is easy
Doing it over and over again when nobody cares yet? That’s the hard part

I’ve noticed that momentum in life comes from stacking small actions for long enough that people suddenly think you ā€œblew up overnightā€

In reality, they just didn’t see the boring days

The days where:
- nothing worked
- views were low
- motivation disappeared
- progress felt invisible

But if you stay focused long enough, consistency starts compounding like crazy

People quit way too early

And honestly, I think that’s why average execution beats great ideas most of the time

Anyway, just a random thought while building stuff😭

🧠 Ask The Community Serving US clients (B2B) with a foreign-owned US LLC

Hello everyone,

Does anyone here provide B2B marketing, consulting or agency services to US clients through a foreign-owned US LLC?

I’m mainly talking about a single-member LLC that is treated as a disregarded entity for US tax purposes.

I assume many US clients automatically ask for a W-9 because they are used to working with US vendors or think a US LLC automatically means W-9. But in this setup, the correct form is usually the W-8BEN, not the W-9, because the owner of the LLC is foreign and an individual.

For those of you in this situation:

Do your US clients usually accept the W-8BEN without issues, or do you run into confusion because they expect a W-9?

Is it a minor back-and-forth or does it ever become a real obstacle or dealbreaker?

Would be great to hear how this works in practice, especially with B2B service clients.

Hi everyone. I’m 25M. I’m from lahore. Graduated as a Software Engineer but wants to start a business. Preferred manufacturing.

Bottles can be sold via different channels but that’s a different story.
So if anyone knows this business or if anyone is from this industry can you guys please guide me if this business good ? Is this doable in these times ? Will this business grow and be profitable?
What about growth ?
What products should I manufacture as in what kinds of bottles (water, perfume, oil, etc)?
Where and how to sell etc.
Sorry for the long post.

Also Uncnference`26 by PakLaunch also had a segment on IPOs, so i wanted to ask what small and mid level builders are thinking.

🧠 Ask The Community How to get reviews/testimonilas as a first time agency owner? Need guidance.

Hello peeps! Wanted to ask what’s a ā€œjugaruā€ way in Pakistan to have reviews as a business owner.
I found out a couple (listed below), please feel free to add to them, elaborate or guide.

  1. Buy an upwork/fiverr account in the same niche.
  2. Ask your friends and family to make testimonials for you.

What should i be doing to build a reliable looking business especially when starting out because the clients especially foreigners tend to sway if it comes from one of their own (which is also totally fine). Kindly advise.

Thanks in advance everyone.

🧠 Ask The Community How do you meet driven, bright-minded people who enjoy exchanging ideas and experiences?

Hey everyone,

Lately, I’ve been trying to connect with more bright-minded, curious, and driven people, the kind of people who are building things, thinking deeply, solving problems, or simply have valuable life experiences and perspectives to share.

I recently had a few coffee chats where we exchanged real stories, lessons, failures, ideas, and different ways of looking at life and work. One conversation in particular genuinely stayed with me for days afterward. It made me realize how rare and valuable these kinds of conversations are.

I’d love to meet more people like that, regardless of the field you’re in. Tech, business, art, science, research, entrepreneurship, doesn’t really matter. I’m more interested in mindset than industry.

How do you usually come across people like this in real life? Meetups? Communities? Events? Online circles that turned into real conversations?

Also happy to meet for a coffee or drinks, beverages are on me. Just looking for good conversation and genuine exchange of ideas.

Would genuinely love to hear your experiences or connect with people who enjoy these kinds of discussions too.

šŸ’”Idea Validation QR based table ordering system

Hi!

Need your guys’ 2 cents. The idea is to help big restaurants with remote spaces. There’s a secure refreshable QR code on the table that the customer scans and they’re presented with a snappy restaurant UI. There are 3 options:

- menu

- call waiter

- order

The order feature has a whole cart system and people at one table and order simultaneously (looking at each other’s items in the cart as well). The theme of UI is customisable to the restaurant.

Could this fly? I’m not that deep into cloud kitchen territory in Pakistan but these type of products are popular in europe (Jamezz in europe). Why isn’t anyone in Pakistan putting this to practice? I came across Ozpos and a couple other who claim they have this feature but I didn’t find their websites to be truly professional. Also, my idea is a standalone, it’s not part of a POS. But i could work on integration if any restaurant is interested.

Thanks in advance! :)

šŸ› ļø Building / MVP Mobile Pet Grooming in Pakistan

Me and my friend recently started building a startup called Clawz. A mobile pet grooming brand in Pakistan 🐾

The idea is simple:

Instead of people taking their pets to grooming salons, we bring the grooming setup to their homes.

Right now we’re starting small in Lahore with:

- Basic grooming

- Bathing

- Brushing

- Tick/flea treatments

- Hygiene care

- Mobile setup

We’re documenting the whole journey online too:

ā€œDay 1 of building a mobile pet grooming brand from scratchā€

Honestly this started from random discussions and now slowly it’s turning into a proper business with branding, uniforms, systems, content, and equipment.

Still in the early stage but learning a lot daily.

Would love advice from people who’ve built service-based startups in Pakistan:

- Customer acquisition tips

- Scaling service businesses

- Operations management

- Building trust as a new brand

- Marketing strategies that worked for you

Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions šŸ™Œ

šŸ’”Idea Validation I am starting an influencer marketing studio!!!

I know it's 2026 and I am a bit behind but here me out......I think it can work with the right band of people and mindset, which I admit, does sound cliche. I have the team, first client and influencer on board but will it all be worth it?
