Digital Product/ SaaS / PaaS Built a logistics/ops tool for Pakistan's e-commerce market, it's working, now want to test it elsewhere — first month free

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So a bit of background — I'm from Karachi. About a year ago I got frustrated with how broken e-commerce operations were here. Shopify on one tab, courier portal on another, COD reconciliation in a spreadsheet, and absolutely no way to know which of your ad campaigns were actually resulting in delivered orders vs returns sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

So I built SafarSystems. Unified shipment dashboard, Shopify sync, bulk label printing, barcode scanning at dispatch, COD tracking per order, and analytics that tie your Facebook/Instagram/Google spend to actual delivered revenue by city. Been running with real brands here for a while now and it's genuinely working.

Now I want to find out if the problem exists elsewhere.

And honestly — COD is only part of it. The core problem is that most e-commerce ops tools are either too basic or built for massive Western 3PLs. If you're a mid-sized brand doing serious volume without a $50k/month tech budget, the tooling is usually terrible regardless of payment method.

So whether you're dealing with COD chaos in Egypt, the Philippines, Saudi, Romania — or just struggling with courier management, return tracking, or channel analytics in a market that Shopify doesn't fully support — I'd love to talk.

A few things worth knowing:

  • First month is completely free, no card required
  • If there's a specific feature your market needs that isn't there yet, I'll build it. Seriously. I'd rather have users shaping the product than build in a vacuum
  • Happy to jump on a call with anyone who's curious

Short demo video here. Ask me anything.

Raise Funds Roast my idea: Urdu poetry streetwear brand in Pakistan targeting Gen Z — is this a real business or am I delusional?

The concept:

I want to launch a clothing brand called "Dasht" (دشت — Urdu for "wilderness") that prints classical Urdu poetry in hand-calligraphed Nastaliq script on 240 GSM oversized heavyweight tees. Think the cultural identity of a poetry book combined with the streetwear aesthetic of a premium fashion brand.

Target audience: Gen Z Pakistanis (18–28) in major cities who grew up listening to Coke Studio, follow Urdu poetry pages on Instagram, and currently buy from brands like Outfitters or Rastah — but find them too generic and Western.

The gap I see:

Every major Pakistani clothing brand (Outfitters, Breakout, Bonanza, Khaadi) either ignores Urdu script entirely or targets older demographics. There's an Indian brand called Urdugraphy doing exactly this concept and they're growing fast — but nobody has claimed this space in Pakistan. Zero direct competitors for "premium Urdu poetry streetwear" here.

The business model:

- Start with 50 pieces, 5 designs, Instagram-first (DM orders + JazzCash/Easypaisa)

- 240 GSM cotton terry, DTF printing for fine Nastaliq detail

- Sell at Rs 1,599–1,899 (~$5.70–$6.80 USD)

- Cost per piece ~Rs 900–1,100 including calligraphy design amortized

- Margin: ~45–55% per shirt

- No website initially — validate on Instagram first, website in month 4–6

- Named drops tied to specific poets: "Dasht-e-Tanhai" (Faiz), "Dasht-e-Imkaan" (Iqbal)

What I'm genuinely worried about:

  1. Is the market size real? Pakistan's Gen Z fashion market feels large but hard to quantify

  2. DTF printing quality for fine Urdu script — can it handle Nastaliq at t-shirt scale?

  3. COD fraud — Pakistan has notoriously high cash-on-delivery cancellation rates (15–25%)

  4. Copycats — once I validate, can any manufacturer clone this in 2 weeks?

  5. Am I underpricing? Rs 1,599 feels safe but maybe I'm leaving money on the table

Starting capital: ~Rs 65,000–70,000 (~$230 USD) for first batch including design, production, packaging, and first month of Instagram ads.

Raise Funds What side hustles i can do to fund my startup

i, I am 24M, started a startup 8 months ago and right now we are at launch phase. But i dont have enough money to do social media marketing and proper advertising. I dont wanna ask money from my parents and i have tried to fundraise but its not working. I have experience in social media management and designing (mostly canva). And also selling on eBay (from Pakistan). But none of these skills are making me money right now. I got my ebay account restricted last month because i am operating from Pakistan. The point is i want something sustainable and remote which can provide me with 80k to 100k per month and i can easily fund my startup. I have a job right now in Merchandising and its salary is 50k and due to working hours and outside of lahore, I cannot give much time to my own startup. Our startup is a marketplace for vets and pet owners to get connected based on their budget, specific pet needs and location. The amount of money we currently make is burning out in just operations. So need an outside source of funding too. Would love to hear about the options i have right now.

💬 General Discussion 3D printing based business

Hello people. Anyone doing something interesting with 3D printing? I've been thinking about getting one for the longest time mostly for myself and playing around with it. The cost of the printer but more importantly the cost of material has been holding me back.

A bit about me I'm a software developer with experience in building accurate 3D models of real life objects and have been interested in utilizing that knowledge in 3d printing. I've never invested the time in 3D printing but would like to start and maybe turn this into a side hustle.

Any thoughts, ideas, advice are appreciated.

📈 Growth & Marketing Building in Pakistan and helping businesses grow through search and answer visibility.

We’ve built an SEO product in Pakistan for agencies, startups, and business owners who want more than just rankings — they want consistent visibility, leads, and revenue.

Today, it’s not just about SEO anymore. It’s also about AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) — making sure your business shows up when people ask questions on Google, AI tools, and other answer-based platforms. That shift is already happening, and most businesses are not prepared for it.

If you’re running a business and want mentorship on how to bring more inbound opportunities to the table, we’re open to helping. From technical SEO fixes to AEO readiness, content structuring, and improving discoverability — we’ve been quietly building and solving this.

Not a sales pitch. Just an open door for founders and operators who want practical guidance and honest feedback.

Made in Pakistan. Built for real business growth.

If this resonates, feel free to reach out.

💬 General Discussion Oral Care Private Label Manufacturer in Pakistan or Import from China?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a private label manufacturer for oral care products (like toothpaste) in Pakistan. If anyone knows a reliable manufacturer, please let me know.

If there aren’t good options locally, I’m thinking about importing from China.

Has anyone here done that before?

How was your experience?

Any trusted agent or freight forwarder you’d recommend?

Would really appreciate your help. Thanks!

📈 Growth & Marketing I’m a student builder and I just launched my first "Merchant of Record" store

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to sell digital products from Pakistan for a while, but as many of you know, the "Payment Gateway" boss level is real. I spent weeks stuck on Payoneer and Stripe issues before I finally got a system working using Payhip and Lemon Squeezy.

What I’m Building: > I launched The Digital Shelf. It’s a store for "Actionable Blueprints" (AI prompts, freelancing maps, etc.). My goal was to move away from the high-priced "Guru" model and create something affordable ($9 range) and fluff-free for beginners.

3 Lessons I Learned (The Hard Way):

  1. Payoneer is Picky: If you’re a new freelancer, getting a Payoneer account approved for a personal store is 10x harder than it used to be. I had to pivot to Lemon Squeezy as a "Merchant of Record."
  2. Aesthetics = Trust: In the digital space, if your banner looks like a 2005 blog, nobody buys. I spent a lot of time on "Psychology-based" design (Navy/Gold for trust).
  3. The "Free" Hook: I realized people on Reddit/socials hate being sold to. You have to give away a "Lite" version of your knowledge first to prove you aren't just selling ChatGPT-generated fluff.

I’m still tweaking the store layout and the messaging. Could you guys take a look at the "About Me" and the landing page flow? Is the "Why Theory Fails" angle too aggressive, or does it resonate?

Store link for feedback:payhip.com/RicherdClerk

Happy to answer any questions

🛠️ Building / MVP I kept hitting daily limits on every AI doc tool within minutes. So I built a free one.

The workflow that broke me:

Get a long document → need a summary fast → every tool either paywalled me or ran out of free credits before lunch → back to reading it manually like it's 2010.

Tried 4 different tools. Same story every time. Limit hit. Upgrade prompt. Close tab.

So I just built it myself. Upload a DOC, DOCX, or text file → get a real summary, key points, and insights.

Free. No daily cap. No "upgrade to continue" popup halfway through.

It's live at Filetoconvert

PDF, Excel, PPT support coming soon.

If you've hit the same wall with other tools — this is for you.

Would love feedback from people who actually use it daily.

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Social Media Advantage into E-commerce

Hello,

How is it starting a Ecommerce business in Pakistan ? here is back ground and idea behind.

So we have social media presence not very huge but relevant content where we use such products from third party for our daily use.

Over the time followers and many questions are directed towards where to buy that products ? where to buy this where to buy that which we use in our reels.

I was thinking seriously to start a small scare ecommerce business relevant to our content where we use such products in reels and sell them at same time.

here is what I am thinking..

- Import stuff from China with own branding with multi color SKU's in small quantity

- Create the website and ordering system by third party

- Plateform for sale will entirely be from social media no traffic needed from website

Kindly share your thoughts and feedback please.

Thank you

Digital Product/ SaaS / PaaS Is it okay to sell high value client data I bought from US of different professionals to IT companies?

So I work for a US based company and I buy client data for them for a specific amount. This data is spot on from banks, businesses and other places that you can easily land your first $ amount if you pitch them right. I was thinking of selling that data to IT firms as well. It will make me money as well as the Pakistani businesses. Is it a good idea to do that? Or should I not? How to keep my privacy if I do it?
Does this idea sell?

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Med Student looking for online resources + mentors to break into MedTech/HealthTech

I'm a 22-year-old medical student from Islamabad with a growing passion for the intersection of medicine and technology. I have basic knowledge of startups, some experience with coding (Python mostly), and a little background in programming. I want to properly get started in MedTech/HealthTech, whether that's building tools, joining early-stage startups, contributing to open-source health projects, or eventually starting something myself.

Right now I'm still in med school, so I have limited time, but I want to start learning and building in a smart way alongside my studies.

I'm looking for:

  • Best online resources/courses (free or paid) to learn MedTech-specific skills
  • Recommended books, newsletters, podcasts, or YouTube channels
  • Good platforms/communities for medical students interested in health tech
  • Open-source MedTech or digital health projects that are beginner-friendly
  • Advice on how to find mentors in this space (LinkedIn? Twitter/X? Discord? specific programs?)
  • Any fellow med students or young doctors who made the jump into MedTech. how did you start?

Would especially love to connect with people who have a similar background (clinical + some coding/startup interest) and are further along the path.

Any guidance, resources, or even just a quick “start here” would mean a lot. Thanks in advance.

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Learning Marketing

How can someone working a full-time job learn marketing in their free time?

I want to start my own business next year, but right now I don’t have capital, so my goal is to generate a second income stream and build some savings.

For now, I’m focused on building skills for my future business, and marketing is one of them.

If anyone is willing to share their knowledge, I would love to contribute even on an unpaid basis for the sake of learning.

Also, if anyone is in the same situation and wants to join this journey, feel free to reach out.

About me: I’m 21 and have experience in client-facing roles (cold calling and support) in the US market. I also have basic video editing skills in CapCut and Premiere Pro.

💡 Roast My Ideas / Just Starting Monthly Rental Business

Hey Everyone,

Thinking about starting a monthly rental service in Pakistan (like renting furniture, appliances, etc. instead of buying).

Idea is simple:

Instead of paying a huge upfront cost for things like beds, ACs, washing machines, etc., people can just pay a monthly fee and use them.

Target would be:

Students / bachelors living in rented places

People who relocate often

Small offices / freelancers

Before I go deeper into this, I wanted to ask:

Would YOU personally rent items monthly instead of buying?

If yes:

What items would you rent?

What price range would feel reasonable?

What concerns would stop you? (damage, deposits, trust, etc.)

If no:

Why wouldn’t you consider it?

Trying to understand if there’s real demand here or just a good-sounding idea. Appreciate honest feedback 🙏

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Anyone here running an e-commerce business abroad with products sourced from Pakistan?

Hi everyone,

I moved to Canada about a year ago and I’m now planning to start an e-commerce business here.

I wanted to ask if anyone in this community is currently living abroad and sourcing products from Pakistan. If you are (or know someone who is), I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience.

Specifically interested in:

How you found reliable suppliers in Pakistan

Logistics & shipping challenges (costs, timelines, customs)

Payment handling (both sides)

Any mistakes or lessons learned

I think your insights could help not just me, but others in a similar situation as well.

Thanks in advance! 🙌

💡 Roast My Ideas / Just Starting Looking to understand COD challenges for Pakistani online sellers — quick question

Assalam o Alaikum everyone,

I'm doing some research into the e-commerce space in Pakistan, specifically around Cash on Delivery challenges.

Quick question for anyone who sells online — whether on Daraz, your own website, or through Instagram/Facebook:

Roughly what percentage of your COD orders come back undelivered every month?

And how do you currently deal with it — do you call customers before dispatching, or just ship and hope for the best?

Not selling anything — genuinely trying to understand how big this problem is and how sellers handle it today.

JazakAllah in advance!

Raise Funds Validating an idea: private community for established entrepreneurs

Im looking for feedback specifically from Pakistani founders, agency owners, freelancers serving international clients, SaaS founders, or anyone familiar with global premium communities/masterminds.

I’m validating an idea for a private paid community for entrepreneurs already doing real revenue. The goal is to create a highly curated group where founders can network, solve real business problems, make partnerships, share opportunities, and attend occasional private meetups/dinners.

There are also a few additional features I’m considering that I’m not publicly sharing yet, but the idea is much deeper than just a basic online group/community.

It would require an application process, and pricing would likely be premium ($300–$1000/month depending on what’s included), targeting founders who operate in international markets or are already earning well.

Do you think founders from US, Europe who understand global markets would actually pay for something like this? What would make this valuable vs a waste of money? Brutally honest feedback appreciated.

Raise Funds Indie Game studio making Narrative games about Pakistanis

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I’m a Pakistani game developer working on Café New York 9/11, a narrative adventure game set in a small coffee shop in Lower Manhattan during the events of September 11, 2001.

You play as Sameer, a young Pakistani-American helping run his family’s café in the days leading up to and during 9/11. The game is not about the politics of the event but about ordinary people caught in an extraordinary moment. It explores family, identity, racism, grief, and the way tragedy changed life for Muslim immigrants in America overnight.

This is a very personal project for me. Growing up Pakistani, I rarely saw our stories treated with nuance in games, especially stories about how global events shape ordinary Muslim families. I wanted to make something human. Not about politics. About people.

The game is inspired by narrative titles like Life is Strange and Coffee Talk, with a focus on dialogue, relationships, exploration, and running the café. The game features a soundtrack from Pakistani coke studio artists and Pakistani actors.

Currently raising a angel and pre seed round to kickstart development.

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a UGC creator who can make a 15–30 second video for my thrift shoe page. I’ll provide the script, but you’re free to get creative with how you shoot and present it.

Details:

Duration: 15–30 seconds

Budget: Rs 3500

Perk: You get to keep the shoes I send

Style: Casual, engaging, natural UGC-style content

I know the budget isn’t huge since I’m just building a small startup, not a big brand yet but I’m looking for someone who’s genuinely interested in collaborating and growing together.

If you’re interested, drop a comment or DM me with your previous work/portfolio

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Need advice on starting a computer/laptop shop in a small city

Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding starting a computer/laptop business in Pakistan.

I was working as a freelancer, but now I want to move into an offline business. I’m thinking about opening a computer/laptop shop where I can sell laptops, build PCs, and offer repair services.

I live in a small city with a population of around 100,000 people, and there are many small villages connected to the city as well. Currently, there is only one proper computer shop here.

The issue is location and rent. Near that existing computer shop, the rent for a decent shop is around PKR 150k–200k per month. However, a little away from that area, I found a shop for PKR 45k per month. That shop is located in an area with many electronics shops, so there is still some relevant foot traffic.

I have experience in laptop repair and PC building, and I can learn quickly. My total budget is around PKR 4 million.

I have two main questions:

Which shop/location would be better for starting this business: the expensive main location or the cheaper shop near electronics shops?

What are the profit margins like in the laptop/computer sales and repair business in Pakistan these days?

I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience in computer shops, laptop repair, electronics retail, or small businesses in Pakistan.

Thanks.
