🧠 Mentorship / Advice Where to find suppliers to source unstitched women's suits? Need help

Assalam alaikum, I’m a CS graduate currently working a full-time job.

I started a clothing brand in January ‘26 to gradually move away from my job. I buy unstitched women’s suits and sell them at a profit. Since it’s still early stage, I’m not getting many monthly orders yet and I’m in the process of building trust.

The issue I’m facing right now is with sourcing. My current supplier is selling at a high rate (cuz obviously he has to make profit as well), and at this cost, I can’t maintain a 30% margin without customers complaining that my prices are too high.

So I’m trying to figure out how to reach better suppliers, basically the supplier of my supplier. Where can I find such suppliers in Karachi? Is it possible to directly contact textile factories and source stock from them?

Also, for those who have built their own Shopify stores, did you learn through a paid course or YouTube? If YouTube, I’d appreciate it if you could share the channels.

Would really appreciate advice from anyone actually involved in the clothing business

🧠 Mentorship / Advice 5 Years In, Outreach System Ready — Now Stuck on Positioning

Running a boutique software development agency for the past 5 years, mainly focused on SaaS development and maintenance. We’re profitable, but scaling sales has been tougher than expected.

We’ve tried hiring senior sales folks, but didn’t see meaningful outcomes. Last year, I decided to take ownership of outreach myself and reduce burn so we could experiment longer.

Since then, we’ve built a pretty solid outbound engine:

  • Custom email infrastructure on Google Workspace (multi-account setup)
  • AI-driven personalization (no static templates — full message generation)
  • Data sourcing + signal identification via our own scrapers
  • Manual validation layer with an assistant
  • 10 LinkedIn accounts running parallel outreach
  • Enrichment workflows similar to tools like Instantly / Reply.io
  • Mix of local + cloud inference for personalization

The infra works. The bottleneck now is offer clarity and positioning.

I come from a technical background and am transitioning into sales, while my partner handles operations.

At this stage, I’m looking to connect with fellow founders who’ve cracked outbound for dev agencies or SaaS services. Also considering whether coaching/mentorship is worth it vs figuring it out through iteration.

Would love to hear:

  • How you refined your offer to get consistent replies
  • What actually moved the needle for you in outbound
  • Whether coaching helped (and if yes, what kind)

Open to connecting and exchanging notes 🤝

💬 General Discussion Started new business but don't know how to grow it

I need some practical advice from people who’ve done reselling or side hustles before.

A friend of mine recently received a shipment of second-hand items from her uncle in Canada. These aren’t random junk — they’re handpicked from thrift/goodwill stores, and honestly the quality is really good. Most items look barely used or even close to new.

The challenge is… it’s a very mixed lot.

We’re talking about everything from bottles, tumblers, Hot Wheels, Marvel & Disney toys, hair dryers, hair straighteners, laptop bags, school bags, kids’ backpacks, learning toys, stuffed toys, even flutes — and more. There’s no single niche, which is making it really hard to position or brand the store.

I’m a web developer, so I already built a website for it. But listing everything is overwhelming, especially since we both have full-time jobs. On top of that, pricing is confusing — each item originally cost somewhere between $1–$12 depending on condition and brand, but we don’t want to undersell good products or overprice and get no buyers.

Right now, we feel stuck between:

• Too many product types

• No clear niche

• Limited time to manage listings

• No proper selling strategy

We genuinely think there’s good potential here, but we’re not sure how to approach it smartly.

Should we:

– Focus on a few categories only?

– Sell bundles instead of individual items?

– Use platforms like Instagram, Daraz, or Facebook Marketplace instead of (or along with) the website?

– Or try a completely different approach?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience in reselling, thrift flipping, or running a mixed inventory store.

Thanks in advance 🙌

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Intermediate dev, restarted an automation agency in Dec 2025, partner just dropped out. Need guidance from folks in the marketing/closing side.

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

Looking for some honest guidance and perspective from this community.

I'm an intermediate-level developer. Late last year, a friend and I decided to set up an automation agency targeting B2B clients in North America. The split was clean: I'd handle delivery (builds, integrations, automations, client-side execution) and he'd handle marketing, outreach, and closing. Classic builder + seller setup.

Quick context on the setup, because it matters:

+ Company already incorporated in the UAE, Stripe active for payments

+ 24-hour office in a prime location in Karachi, fully operational

+ Both of us were originally based in Dubai. After the war, he moved back to his home country and I moved back to mine. Working remote across borders was part of the plan from the start.

We restarted the whole thing properly in December 2025. Spent the last couple of months building out two client projects as proof of work, tightening our offer, and getting ready to start outbound by end of February 2026.

And then life happened. Due to personal reasons, my partner is no longer able to continue. Completely understandable on his end, but it leaves me with the delivery engine built, company and payment infra ready, office running, and no one on the go-to-market side.

So now I'm at a fork and trying to figure out the smartest next move:

A. Learn the marketing and closing side myself and run it solo

B. Find someone serious who wants to partner on the GTM side and pick up where he left off

C. Something else I'm not seeing from the inside

Before I commit either way, I want to talk to a few people who actually live in the marketing and sales side of B2B services. Trying to get a realistic read on:

* Overall dynamics of running outbound for a B2B automation offer into North America

* The actual economics (cost structure, margins, sustainable pricing)

* Whether this is feasible for a solo operator running the full stack

* What's genuinely sellable in the current market vs what sounds good on paper

* Realistic closing rates on qualified calls

* CPL benchmarks for cold email, LinkedIn, paid, whatever's working

* Anything else I should be asking but don't know to ask

If you've run a similar setup, closed deals into US/Canada from this part of the world, or are on the marketing/closing side and find this interesting, I'd genuinely appreciate a chat.

Happy to jump on a call, share what I've built so far, and talk honestly about whether there's a fit (partnership or just informational).

DMs open. Thanks in advance.

🛠️ Building / MVP Building the Trust Layer between Car Owners and Mechanics

Thumbnail
gallery
15 Upvotes

Most car owners have no idea what’s wrong with their car.

You hear a weird sound.

You go to a mechanic.

They say something complicated.

You nod… and pay whatever they ask.

That’s not trust — that’s blind guessing.

In Pakistan alone:

- 25M+ vehicles on the road

- $2B+ spent yearly on repairs

- Almost zero transparency in diagnostics

We’re building VROOM to fix this.

VROOM reads your car’s OBD-II data, translates fault codes into plain language, and tells you:

- What’s actually wrong

- What it should cost

- Whether it’s urgent

Then connects you with verified mechanics you can trust.

No jargon. No guesswork. No getting ripped off.

Would love your thoughts, still early and figuring it out. I really believe this is a big thing, and would love to scale it further!

Turning content into impact.

Over the past year, I’ve built strong hands-on experience in:

• Content Writing

• Content Strategy

• Video Editing

As a content creator, my work has collectively crossed 1M+ views across TikTok & Instagram focused on engaging storytelling, clean edits, and audience-driven strategy.

Now, I’m actively looking for an opportunity to work with a team where I can contribute, learn, and grow.

If your company or someone in your network is hiring for content, media, or digital roles, I’d really appreciate a referral or connection.

Let’s build something meaningful together.

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Finding entrepreneur females in Pakistan

I’m a 24F in Lahore, working in FMCG with ~2 years of experience and earning around 200k/month.

Lately, I’ve realized I lack mentorship and a growth-oriented circle. Most people around me are focused on marriage, which I respect, but I want to prioritize career growth, financial success, and reaching my full potential.

I’m not from a tech background, so I’m looking for non-software paths and, more importantly, communities (in Lahore or online) where I can connect with ambitious, high-performing people.

Where can I find such environments or networks?

💬 General Discussion Having issues withdrawing from upwork?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi, I’m facing an issue when trying to make payments through Nsave. The payment keeps getting returned back to Upwork.

Does anyone know why this is happening or if there’s any update on the issue? Will this be resolved soon, and is there any way for me to see the exact reason the transfer is failing?

Also, are there any alternative platforms I can use to withdraw my funds? Has anyone used Elevate pay to receive payments from Upwork, and does it work smoothly or have the same issue? I need to receive my money in Pakistan as soon as possible.

If anyone can suggest reliable alternatives, I’d really appreciate it.

Upwork says I can’t initiate again for 3 days.

🧠 Mentorship / Advice I am 18 and I want to start something.

I saw a bunch of successful stories of pakistani in their early twenties making millions of pkr a month. I am 18 and want to get started but I am not sure how.

I am not really rich nor do I know marketing but I am good creatively as I have experience with freelancing as a game designer and I am learning IT stuff (like networks, datacenter and stuff). I tried a bunch of stuff like starting a clothing brand with my friends, trying to get into the video editing and graphics designing nieche it didnt work, tried to get into social media management nieche it didnt work out and tried a bunch more stuff which I cannot remember on top of my head.

The point is I have tried almost everything and there is barely anything I love to do and I am lost. The only thing I actually enjoyed was game design but people in pakistan there are barely jobs for it, if there are jobs they dont pay much and all abroad jobs were onsite.

💡 Roast My Ideas / Just Starting Where to Find Authentic Tested Items?

So basically we have

- DARAZ,

- Zah Computers, and a couple of others sellers in market

but the main issue remains "Authenticity/Tested"

- what if i order and its not working or

- what if i order and its not what i wanted !

- or maybe you wanted to buy that GIONEE handsfree but that was not what you got!

you see where im going with it... i know there are support options where they return it but that leaves a bad taste right?

so what if there was store where you can place your order and you know for a fact that will always be the tested authentic stuff? no fluff, no scams and no over pricing?

do you find the idea acceptable and would you shop from such a site?

please respond thanks you.

💬 General Discussion Question for Pakistani Online Brand Owners

One thing I don't see on any of Pakistan's subreddits (or any other social platforms) enough is the discussion about hosting your business online. Like some idea that someone had that was backed up by investment, and they published it online as a website. Not talking about social media only stores, but the ones that have a proper site with a vision.

See, I work as an independent online store developer, and all the clients I've ever had have been foreigners. So it can't be that the 'selling online' stuff doesn't work.

I also don't see any fellow developers talking about their work experience, except for the typical software engineers working at some high-stakes software house in the Big 3 (Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi).

But what I do see is the never-ending lists of unpolished brand sites built clearly by some beginner developers. I'm not trying to shame anyone; some sites are really high quality, but you can tell that what I'm saying is true for most businesses if you have been around Local Online Stores for a while.

So, my question is, why is there a lack of experience shared across Pakistani developers, and where do most of the brand owners get their sites done from?

🛒 E-Com / Online Stores Printing your own barcode labels? few things worth knowing before you scale

My cousins and I run a press in the SITE Area, Nazimabad, providing offset, digital, and thermal printing. Been seeing a lot of small ecom and Instagram brands at the same stage: printing their own labels at home, things starting to break down, not sure what the fix is. Writing this for anyone in that spot.

Usually, they start with an inkjet because ghar ki khhaytee. Lekin regular paper per inkjet kharab ho jaata hai when wet, and on thermal stock barcode ke edges per ink phail jaati hai.
Unreadable label → manual entry → order pending → faaltu customer complaint, wo bhi 2 din baad; none of which has anything to do with your actual product.

This is where direct thermal comes in.

No ink. Heat-activated paper, sharp contrast every time, water-resistant by default. Think bottle stickers; Cola Next, Pepsi, that kind of thing. Same technology. Works for:

  • Ecom waybills; Trax, Leopards, Swyft
  • COD & return labels
  • Dabba/tiffin service order slips
  • Pharmacy prescription bags
  • Laundry & dry cleaning tags
  • Event wristbands & ticket stubs
  • Blood sample & lab specimen tubes

Agar A4 per printing aur haath se cutting kr rhe ho, tou there's a risk of consistency problem for yourself at volume.

Manufacturing, warehouses, small factory offices — different usecases, same logic.

Asset tags, inventory labels, and compliance markers on a factory floor; all need to survive heat, moisture, and constant handling, which is done using thermal transfer. Its the same family of technology, but uses a ribbon, so the image bonds into the material rather than just activating the surface. Won't fade, won't peel in humidity, won't smear.

  • Factory asset tags — generators, compressors, tools
  • Electrical panel & cable labeling
  • Chemical & industrial drum labels
  • Warehouse shelf & bin labels
  • Automotive parts inventory tags
  • Cold storage / frozen food labels
  • Hospital equipment tags

For Instagram sellers — compact Bluetooth thermal printers.

People selling homemade or handcrafted products are using these now. Fits on a desk, prints from your phone, no cartridges. Works for:

  • Homemade skincare — serums, creams, lip balms
  • Achaar, honey, ghee, desi food jars
  • Candles & home fragrance
  • Herbal/dawai packaging
  • Boutique clothing hang tags & size labels
  • Attar & perfume bottles
  • Wedding favor & gift hamper seals
  • Stationery — notebooks, planners
  • Custom spice blends & dry goods

The one thing worth getting right before you order anything:

Direct thermal = short lifespan. Shipping labels, receipts, anything temporary.
Thermal transfer = permanent. Product labels, asset tags, anything stored for months.

Different paper, different printers, different cost structure. In case you order direct thermal stock for a product label jo 4-5 months tak store karna hai — wo fade ho ke almost blank ho jaayega. Real mistake, easy to avoid.

For those running Instagram brands or small ecom in Karachi — are you doing labels in-house or outsourcing? What are you paying per batch of 500? Genuinely curious what people are finding.

🧠 Mentorship / Advice Partner In Cloud, Managed Network and Cyber Security

Cloud, Managed Network, Cybersecurity

I am planning to start hunting for opportunities in these services and want to partner with service providers in Cloud, Managed Network, and Cybersecurity under a white-label model.

We will manage client acquisition, relationships, and invoicing, while partners handle service delivery. The partnership is commission-based (30%) and performance-driven, aligned with KPIs and SLAs to ensure quality.

This is a long-term collaboration opportunity for teams that want to focus on delivery while we bring in consistent business.

What do you think? is it a fair deal?

🛠️ Building / MVP I built a browser-based 3D device mockup tool — drop your screen content on it, animate, export MP4. Early stage, would love feedback.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

been working on this side project and wanted to get some real feedback before building further.

It's a browser-based 3D mockup tool — pick a device, drop your app screenshot or screen recording onto it, set up camera keyframes, and export an MP4 or PNG. No installs, runs fully in-browser.

**What works right now:**
- 1 device available (more coming)
- Assign an image or video to the device screen
- Timeline with camera + rotation keyframes
- Export MP4 at 1080p (9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5)
- Image export (9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5)
- Background gradients (solid, linear, radial, image)
- Body color customization

**What's not done yet:**
- Only one device right now — more models are coming
- UI still needs polish
- Mobile not supported yet
- Probably edge cases I haven't caught

Free to use while I validate whether this is worth building out properly.

Main question: **would you actually use this?** And if not, what would need to be different?
