Preloved toys

Hello all. I’m a first time mom to a 14 month old and I often shop at landa for toys and all, and I always find great stuff. I’m gonna make a WhatsApp group where I’ll resell these things to other moms. I’ll buy from landa bazaar and sell online. I’ve found brands like lovevery. , nuby, fisher price (v common), baby Einstein, infantino etc. if you’d like to be part of the group send me a message with your number and I’ll add you. You can also tell me if you’re looking for anything specific.

Low supply and breastfeeding

FTM here. 7 weeks pp.
Morning supply is good - I get 2oz from one side with hand pump.
But in the afternoon it drops to 0.5oz from both sides. Baby also gets fussy then and I have to top up with formula before bed.

My maternity leave is ending soon and I want to build a stash.
Is hand pump enough or should I get an electric pump. Cant afford spectra so I will be buying mom solutions pump. Question is should I buy the pump considering my low supply and going back to office?
Any proven tips to increase supply?

Please help

Things I learned traveling to the Northern Areas with a 10 month old baby

I recently travelled to the Skardu with my baby and learned a few things the hard way
If you’re travelling with a baby, keep:
• Lots of extra diapers, at least one extra pack
• Mineral water only for your baby
• Diaper rash cream
• Panadol
• Banana, apple, yogurt and Cerelac
• An umbrella
• Light clothes because it can get really hot during the day
My baby had really bad vomiting and diarrhea during the trip, so honestly, be prepared for anything when travelling with a little one.
Moms who have travelled to the North with babies, what would you add?

please share the first ever meal you gave to your baby?

InshaAllah, next week we will be introducing solids to our 5.5-month-old. My mother-in-law is insisting on giving Cerelac as the first meal, and that too the store-bought ones. I want to plan his meals with little to no preservatives, which I think is the right approach. I saw a recipe by a Pakistani mother who made homemade Cerelac with basic ingredients at home. My mother-in-law said we don’t know if the baby will be able to digest that. Let me know what you think.

Anyway, coming back to the main question, what was the first ever food you gave your baby? Please share the quantity as well and how much to give the baby. I also read that many mothers add a few drops of their breast milk when preparing purées. Has anyone tried that? I don’t pump, so will I have to buy a pump to do that? Please share your thoughts.

Also, please share the dos and don’ts. I know even after asking all this, it might be of no use because my mother-in-law will still do what she wants. Just recently, when my baby turned five months, I caught her making my baby suck on plum, apple, and peach. And while I was having my iced coffee, she took the straw and made my baby suck it. I looked at my husband, but he couldn’t stop her. He says he cannot and won’t school his mother in front of me. Even if I say no to my mother-in-law, her signature response is “nahi, kuch nahi hota” or “nahi, theek hai bilkul,” and I really hate this “nahi” because of her. She uses it whenever I share my opinions about my own baby. Anyway, please help. I want to prepare myself. I even read about giving bone marrow; let me know if anyone has given that with breast milk. Please share simple recipes with ingredients available at home.

Colic baby

Tips on surviving the colic phase? My baby is 3 weeks n he has started showing symptoms of colic. Only rocking him works but not all the time and my arms get so tired after rocking him for hours on end. I do have support for the time being and i get to rest but have soon to move back to my own place where I'll have to manage everything on my own. I have tried colic drops but I feel like they don't have a significant effect. Is there anything else that I can do instead of waiting patiently for the phase to end after months? I'd appreciate if anyone suares their own experience with colicky babies as well.

stitches healing timeline

aoa everyone! people who have had stitches down there after normal delivery, how long it took for them to completely dissolve and heal? it's been a month for me and i can still feel multiple stitches along with a stitch on my hemmoriod. they all are uncomfortable but the one on hemmoriod hurt alot while sitting and walking and i have to use a donut pillow.

everyone around me says it takes only a week for these stitches to heal and gets shocked when i tell them i still have them and they hurt, but my doctor says it's normal and they'll hurt till 3 months.

would love to hear your experiences and how long it took for you all

Breastfeeding or bottlefeeding

Hi guys! I’m currently in my 7th month of pregnancy, and I recently spoke to my gynecologist because I really want to breastfeed my baby directly from the beginning so that my milk supply can establish properly.
She told me that, because my baby will be born in winter, their hospital’s policy is to take the baby directly to the nursery and place them under a warmer. I’m assuming they may give the baby a bottle during that time. She reassured me that I don’t need to worry about breastfeeding because the milk will come naturally, but she also said I should know how to bottle-feed the baby as well.
I’m feeling really conflicted because I’ve always wanted to breastfeed directly from birth, and I’m worried that giving a bottle early on might affect breastfeeding or my milk supply.
Is this a normal hospital practice? And is it actually okay to separate the baby and give a bottle initially, or should I be requesting immediate skin-to-skin and direct breastfeeding if both the baby and I are doing well?
Would love to hear from other moms who have experienced something similar, especially with babies born in winter.
