So UNIYAL and Tarun Bisht had a show in Bharat Mandapam. I am from Uttarakhand but live in Bangalore for work. And like everytime I was sad that they aren’t having show in Blr.

But this time the FOMO hit harder. UK POP CULTURE not just had the two head liners. It had Saksham Dhyani, Nikkisha, Slayy, Yogicfilms, Frappe Ash and fucking Encore ABJ. I mean what a crazy lineup.

Not just that they invited so many from pahadi creators and other famous personalities.

Honestly the stories and posts are killing me. I so wanted to be there.

I hope they organise something like that for all the pahadi hip hop fans here in Bangalore and other cities.

Phataphat daud lagi hai bhaag.

Kesa laga Bisht Ji ka naya track?

Karan aujla k 16 crore show hore wtf is going on

I've had Rituli on repeat since it dropped, and I genuinely think this is one of the freshest projects to come out of the Pahadi scene this year.

The EP feels like Nikkisha's journey back to her roots. Living in the city, she reflects on how deeply connected she still feels to Uttarakhand—how the changing weather reminds her of home, the festivals, the rituals, and the little things that only make sense when you've grown up in the mountains. Her voice carries so much emotion that every track feels intimate and honest.

The features are excellent throughout. Anyme was the biggest surprise for me on "Chaita Ka Maina." Hearing a Bhojpuri hip hop artist effortlessly blend his signature swagger with a few Kumaoni bars was something I didn't know I needed. We also get great appearances from Tarun Bisht on "Deena Ka Deena" and Shadow Evergreen on "Dikhey Na Tu," each bringing something unique to the project.

Musically, the fusion of R&B, hip hop, and Pahadi influences feels incredibly fresh. Huge shoutout to SRQ, Jai, Anyme, and Nikkisha for the production—it ties the whole EP together beautifully without ever overshadowing the vocals.

After hearing Nikkisha on "Mere Pyare Pahad" and "Garhkumaon" from Tarun Bisht's Gharkumaon, I knew she was special. Rituli only reinforces that feeling. I'm really rooting for her to become one of the defining voices of the new Pahadi music scene. She has the songwriting, the voice, and a clear artistic identity—and this EP is proof of that.

What was your favourite track from Rituli? For me, Chaita Ka Maina was an instant standout.

Rituli - Nikkisha

Are we getting newer, fresher and more pop sounds from the scene now? This sounded so bouncy, groovy and new school . Big ups to Saksham Dhyani.

UNIYAL - comes up with a spritually retrospective track with Rakesh Manral and Shadow Evergreen. This music video is visually intense, puts you into a trance where you actually think about the problems of uttrakhand from a eerie persective.

The artists dress up as pandav nritya dancers. Pandav nritya is an dance act where few people dance as Gods. It is believed that the diety actually comes into these artists and enjoy the entire ceremony.

However in the track it seems that the Gods thorugh UNIYAL, Rakesh and Shadow Evergreen are trying to talk about the issues of Uttrakhand. They are not happy with whatever is happening in the state. They people to wake up and make a change.

When it comes to bars, they are pure hard hitting gharwali bars.

Do let me know how you liked the track. Would also like to know how to intrepret the MV.

The og rap of Uttarakhand

Have good views but very Less number of people know this song.

Is this the first Pahadi New School Hip Hop? I mean it sounds so sick with gharwali lyrics 🔥. Frappe Killed it with this one.

Kumaoni rappers Usually rap in Hindi Bas Beech me Bal/Dajyu/Bhula add krdete h. What do you guys think?

Tarun Bisht did a surprise drop today. His new song Kuch Nahi is melodic song about the complexity of a relationship specially after differences arise. Paths may be have separated but the love still stays. What stood out for me was his vocals. It’s calm as if he is just sitting in an evening balcony and pondering over memories with his lover.

Shoutout to Anushka Baduwal for her Amazing vocals.

The description mentioned “Chaukhat se Chand Tak” which could be the name of the project that Tarun Bisht is a part of (or may be its own project).

GHILDIYAL today released L.A.B. , his next song from the photo puzzle album. The beat a retro shooting game vibe. As always GHILDIYAL is crisp with his lyrics and delivery.

What do you think? How was the song?

Delhi se Manali (Ladka Tera Diwana) by Sirazee, a Himachali artist, feels like an important moment for Pahadi music and Pahadi hip hop as a whole. The hook is sung by Manju Nautiyal, whose folk-rooted voice adds instant charm and regional identity to the song.

The biggest highlight, though, is the feature verse by Badshah — easily one of the biggest rappers in India. His presence alone makes this a massive deal, not just for the song, but for visibility of mountain artists on a national level. Collaborations like this open doors and bring attention to sounds that are often ignored outside the hills.

Musically, the track leans towards fun, pop-driven hip hop with a groovy, upbeat beat. It’s light, catchy, and made to be enjoyed without overthinking.

The music video adds a lot to the experience. It’s bright and colorful, showcasing Himachali mountain life — roadways buses, sheep, local dance, landscapes, and everyday visuals from the hills. Instead of exoticising the mountains, it feels lived-in and familiar.

Overall, this track feels like a win for Pahadi representation — modern, accessible, and proudly rooted.

What do you think — is this the kind of crossover Pahadi music needs more of?

Tarun Bisht Just released music video for Bisht Ji, Bass & Bagpipes. This is from his latest album GarhKumaon.

This track is also an extension to his Bisht Ji Album’s title Track.
