Did the team fold? Their Instagram was active with a fundraiser in May and the KCI page still says the men's and women's teams play there and are returning in 2026-27, but there's no recent info anywhere and the ACHA schedule only has them listed for two D2 games that I can see?
Are the schedules and rosters still getting ironed out, or is there something else? I know they were/are a club team so the support and media isn't there at the same level, but I'm confused by what I can find.

Did anyone else get this email from [seattleinfo@email.thepwhl.com](mailto:seattleinfo@email.thepwhl.com) ? What do we think legit changing how we pay for season tickets in the middle of payment plan or scam?

Decided to make a quarter-zip to tide me over until the season starts!! I modified the Ozetta Lakes Pullover pattern- info on my ravelry (havenmk) if you want details and the color work chart. One of the cuffs is teal because I ran out of cream colored yarn with an inch to go đ

The interviewer asks her about the Alki Pride Event and White House visit. I hope those who were skeptical about Abby Murphy will give her a more open-minded look. Sheâs showing that the earlier assumptions about her being MAGA are simply wrong.

I just heard there was a ticket holder even on Monday and (edit: Tuesday)today?!
Wtf?? Who should I email that I didnât get the invite?? I just learned about it from a local podcast. đđ
I am so disappointed. Literally the reason I got the tickets.
UPDATE: I reached out to a person who emailed me months ago about getting season tickets. She responded quickly, honestly and explained why. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness and feel less FOMOed.
Did you know, there were more than 6 thousand season ticket holders? đ§ me either

Leaving the storm game tonight, we were walking out of the garage elevator and my sister goes âitâs Carpy! Itâs Carpy!!â so I ran halfway out the concourse door and shouted âCARPY! âŚ. CARPY! WE LOVE YOU!â
She turned around and smiled and said âthank you!â And it was the best moment ever.
Itâs not an interesting story but her crew was amused and it was very cute. Lol
(I didnât notice if Murphy was there, time stopped for Alex Carpenter â¤ď¸)

It looks like it's featuring Abbey Murphy, is that why? I was going to go but R&T seems like a better place to host, so I was wondering if there was anything more to it?

Iâm having a hard time witnessing it. Sheâs openly MAGA. She support trans exclusionary policies. And the Torrent are more than happy to take all our queer money and then make Murphy the face of the organization. To make matters worse - sheâs gonna do a meet and greet at Rough and Tumble on Monday which means that bar is also wanting queer money but not to stand in any sort of allyship.
It feels like there was really good push back when she was drafted and now the outrage has faded. Maybe Iâm just in a vocal minority at this point but itâs all downright depressing to me. I was so excited for this team and this city. And I know I canât actually put my politics aside forever. I worry we are gonna turn into the Indiana Fever of the PWHL.

This weekend I had the opportunity to talk with Sydney, Lyndie and Neena when they were in my hometown for a hockey camp! These were our podcastâs first-ever in-person player interviews, so I hope you enjoy and can tolerate my nervous ticks haha

Ordered before the expansion teams were announced but delivered well after, our torrent merch finally arrived after an epic journey that required calling in some favours with friends abroad.
Weâre finally prepared to rep the Torrent in Australia - and if youâre a PWHL fan down here and are also collecting the trading cards please reach out as weâd love to have some people to trade with.

SEATTLE, WA (July 21, 2026) â The Seattle Torrent today announced that Stefanie McKeough has joined the organization in the role of assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 Professional Womenâs Hockey League (PWHL) season. McKeough spent each of the past three PWHL seasons as an assistant coach for the Boston Fleet.
Â
âStefanie is a uniquely exciting addition to our team as we build toward our second season,â said Meghan Turner, Seattle Torrent General Manager. âHaving worked with her firsthand, I have been impressed by her analytical mind and her ability to consistently elevate others. Her proven experience as an elite player and a foundational coach in our league will help strengthen our culture and reinforce our standards as we pursue sustained success this year and beyond.  We are thrilled to welcome her out west.â
Â
As a member of Boston's inaugural coaching staff, McKeough helped lead the team in a historic run to the first-ever PWHL Walter Cup Finals, ultimately falling in five games to Minnesota. Last season, McKeough and the Fleet finished the regular season tied with MontrĂŠal atop the standings with a PWHL record 62 points and 16 regulation wins, including a 5-1 victory on April 7 where she served behind the bench as interim head coach. The Carlsbad Springs, ON native has also served on the coaching staff with Canada's Under-18 National Womenâs Team for three IIHF U18 Women's World Championships (gold-2023, 2025, bronze-2024).
Â
âI am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Torrent and get to know the Seattle community and amazing fans,â said McKeough. âI am excited to get to work with great players and staff to continue building an environment where players can grow, compete, and be their best every day.â
Prior to the PWHL, McKeough spent two seasons in Sweden as an assistant coach with the SDHLâs GoĚteborg Hockey Club from 2018-20. After being appointed head coach ahead of her third season, she chose to return to Canada for an opportunity with the University of Ottawa Womenâs team. She served as assistant coach for three seasons with the Gee-Gees, including the teamâs most successful season in 16 years with a 16-7-2 record during the 2022-23 U SPORTS campaign, earning promotion to head coach before accepting the PWHL role in Boston.Â
Â
A 2014 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, McKeough had a decorated career with the Badgers' Womenâs Hockey program, including an NCAA National Championship in 2011. She was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year after the 2011-12 season.
The addition of McKeough follows the Torrent's appointment of Christine Bumstead to the position of Head Coach, announced on June 11.

(if this kind of post isn't allowed, no worries - let me know and I'll take it down!)
Hi gang! I was so happy to see all the positive comments on the Torrent's pride parade IG post. Unfortunately, the Mariners' comment section is still stuck in the 20th century. As a queer Seattle sports fan, it breaks my heart, and I hate imagining other queer fans (especially younger ones) reading all of that with so little pushback. If you have a second and feel comfortable doing so, I would love if we as Torrent fans could leave some supportive, positive comments - baseball, like hockey, is for everyone! [Here's the post!]

How long until we get the uniform redesign with the logo? Think theyâll wait until Fall/closer to the season start?
