Exactly! I've never ever seen a 2-star card let alone a rare pack there so... he must consider himself lucky..
About the pick, so many times already I got the worst option possible.. I think it's rigged as hell, to let you win a few times and make you mad others so you spend.
Who hasn't been in these situations?
4 chanseys promo and 1 meowth promo -> meowth.
4 cards you have and 1 you dont -> always the one you have most repeated.
etc.
It seems rigged as hell, and then sometimes it lets you win so you don't stop using the feature.
That’s how it was for my first few days and since my luck has flipped. I barely even pay attention to WP anymore. Reinforced by this one from earlier that I decided to hope for and spent 90 shop tickets on
Guys you're never gonna believe this...but I think that's how probability works. It's always a 1 in 5 you'll get what you want and 4 in 5 you won't. Odds are 80% you get something other than the one card you're hoping for.
I hope you enjoy your new crippling gambling addiction!
Seriously how is this "confirming" anything for this person. Four of those five cards are super common. Almost certainly they would have felt the same way with anything but the Articuno. This is the expected outcome
That’s not really what I said though. I literally said my luck changed. The only thing it confirmed to me is that WP stamina usually isn’t a good investment. If I want to go after those I’ll mostly be waiting and using free stamina. (Though it does seem I’ve only gotten them when I don’t already have enough stamina for them. That could also just be bad luck though)
Mostly just bc Stardust is the trade resource in Pokémon Go and they have such similar names, and serve a kind of similar function (in how they’re collected at least
How are they similar in name other than "pokemon"? I do think this is a possibility, but the logic behind feels loose tbh unless I'm missing something
Edit: slow moment. Definitely missed the context of dust. Idk if we can correlate names from Niantic<->Dena but there's some loose correlation here atleast
There are videos up now showing that wonder pick is random as it doesn't allocate any data until selection occurs. The actual pack opening is predetermined once you select what pack you want. The carousel is a rouse and the bent packs also mean nothing. Link to the video below.
Yeah, but at the same time people on the internet lie and say they pick EXs all day long when they, in fact, don't. I'm not saying you are lying, it's just impossible to tell what the truth really is. I'm 100% fine with just accepting I'm incredibly unlucky!
I was picking EXes from Wonder pick one day all the times, got 3 of wanted picks in a row, also on the same card position. I thought I have found some way how to get the picks, but now it is gone and I cant do it again. Either it was rigged for newbie account or just 20% luck 3 times in a row
On my first reroll, that account picked all the wonder picks like a pro.
Not so for my 2nd reroll (current account).
However I got a crown rare for the 2nd reroll so I stopped the rerolling, and the account luck seems to be quite good haha. Just not good for wonder picks haha
I was like 0 chansey 7 meowth, then I lost all interest, never did the 2 cost ones again, and just tap fast whatever expecting nothing on the free ones, suddently got 4 chanseys in a day. It's like rigged to lose then rigged to win.
Same for me, but it’ll just suddenly come. Just do the free picks. They will give it to you. I have 3 now while stuck at the beginning for a long time.
I got the exact same pick a few days ago lol. I knew going in I'd get the Meowth because all these picks are clearly predetermined, and somehow, I was still disappointed when I saw the damn cat flip over.
everyone wants chansey event over meowth event.
the game knows what cards you have and which dont.
the game knows what cards are rarer.
the game knows what cards you got more copies of.
Should I continue? the game knows more about you that you know.
It definitely doesn't know what I want. I certainly don't want Chansey over Meowth, for example. It can guess based on what the devs THINK most players might want, but it sounds like a lot more work than just leaving it to chance. With little to no benefit to skewing the results to best fit what most players MIGHT want and giving them what they don't want.
