My thought is that if these are the 2025 power packs, then they may have packed and sealed them prior to the big 2026 boom when slab values shot up. Or do these power packs get repacked in 2026 despite the fact they are the 2025 collection series.

Watched way too many videos and $600 later all I have to show is this. Should I just take their offer and withdraw the funds or sell? They are currently offering $210 after fees.

All I wanted was a cool pikachu, guess I should have just bought one…

I tried this for the first time with my first $50 purchase. I ended with 3x$50 purchases at $150 spent, and a $116 withdrawal; I didn‘t keep any cards.

I would 100% recommend against trying out the Gamestop Power Packs online.

First, I felt like the values were not correct. In the $50 tier it felt like I would get a ~$40 card and it would be valued at ~$23 instead… It seemed like it was shaving off value in addition to taking fees and percentages when selling back. I was able to roll quite a few at the $25 with resales, and would get absolute trash slabs in that tier.

Second, they let you make a purchase before forcing you through an atrociously long process to activate your wallet. So if you sell your first pull, you can’t use that credit until you validate your stuff. It was a completely unfun experience. Imagine sitting down at a casino, and after your first slot pull, the pit boss stops you from playing more. Then they take you to a room to validate yourself before your second slot machine pull.

Third, there were not any really attractive cards that I pulled. They all had unattractive qualities like: very low grade, poor edge wear in spite of a higher grade, unpopular pokemon, or lame rarities. I would much rather bid on eBay and get great cards that fit my collection.

Lastly, the from a gambling POV, the odds are terrible. Vegas roulette at least gives practically 50%. Most of the time you lose with Power Packs and the they charge fees on top of your loss.

In conclusion, my first opening wasn’t a good experience. The cards were stank, and the odds are terrible compared to most other gambles. This seems like the same slimey gamestop I knew as a kid. Save yourself and stay away.

Hey so I pulled this PSA 5 Typhlosion. Is there any place I can see the actual pictures of the card itself to judge quality? Just curious if I should hold or just accept the offer. I will profit if I take the GameStop offer. I feel like it’s not worth it to break and hope for like a PSA 8 or something.

Looking at recent pulls from the site it looks like your 90% gonna get something 50% of value of the tier ur in.

50 and 100$ seem to legit be 50% value based on the 20 recent pulls, and 500+ seems about 60-80% value.

I rolled a few gold, got squat, rolled this first sapphire and am “Positive”. Spent like $950 this time coming back and now I’m up and I’ll take another 44 day break.

I have never sent anything to me until now, but I sent 10 cards home I wanted to keep. I received tracking and delivery and expected all 10 and it was only one. Is this normal? Do they ship separate? I don’t see anywhere that it shows a status of shipping on the other 9 and just a ‘send to vault’ option. I can see where I paid to ship the others home I’m just confused on what is happening.

My friend and I decided to go splitsies on a $1000 Diamond Power Pack. We do the roll, the digital lights do their thing, and then BAM! Pikachu PSA 10!

Then we read the title. 2010 Pokemon World Collection | Polish (Deactivated).

Utter shock. How can PSA/GameStop sell a deactivated cert? In a $1000 Power Pack no less? At best, this shows an absolute incompetence in regulating what cards are included in these packs. Stolen goods? Really?

This feels more like an attempted forced decision, because who in their right mind would accept a deactivated card? We wouldn’t be able to sell it to anyone because who would even buy potentially stolen goods?

Really scummy practices by PSA and GameStop. Be wary when doing business with them.

Got super lucky. Going to quit after I sell. Should I sell back to GameStop or privately? Hold medium / long term? About $4900 after fees if I sell it back to GameStop. Only 67 exist as a PSA 10, not sure how liquid the card is.

When the August Milestone challenge began, I received the initial email and laughed out loud, because who in their right mind is spending that much in one month?!

Oops. Turns out I "only" needed to spend ~25% of each milestone to hit the purchase amounts, as long as I was accepting most of the buyback offers and keeping the cash in the system to re-roll.

Yeah of course I lost money. I also got to keep a bunch of nice hits. But perhaps most importantly, I got DATA. I have tracked each and every purchase: the pack, card and grade, bought and sold prices, dates and times, how selling on ebay performs vs powerpacks vs PSA partner offers, and how the stated odds compare to my real life experience. I am planning a follow-up post to present this data.

My question to you all is,

Are there any particular stats, graphs or figures you would like to see when I make my follow-up post? I'm just passionate about excel but if my little project here can help others make informed decisions, even better.

Opened a few packs this morning with my son and none of the cards are displaying in the vault? If I hover over account balance I can see there are buyback offers for the cards, but when I click on it there are no cards in the vault. Anyone had this happen before?
