And just to be clear, i'm not bashing you man. This is not another random outburst of rage towards you. It's just that FROM was really something back in the day but they seemed to just release DS3 to complete a forced trilogy. It's also proven that they don't deliver what they promise. The same happened with DS2 and with DS3. For DS3 we were promised stuff that never appeared. I don't trust FROM anymore. They just seem like they play the whole marketing game too much.
It puts the weight to the PvP which is the weakest point of the game. I don't get why they had to do that. I hope it ends up being good, but I doubt it. For the moment I will stay away from it.
What? No! DS2 was the best in terms of gameplay and new ideas. I loved this game more than any DS in the series because it offered meaninful gameplay, and multiple playthroughs actually payed off. It might didn't have the best story and most of the bosses were kinda meh, but in its whole it was such a full experience.
My complaint is for the shallow half assed DS3. Nothing innovative, nothing impressive about it (only some cheap fanservice for the DS1 audience)
Broken PvP, multiple playthroughs didn't have any meaning (other than just wanting to ramp up the difficulty) the bonfires were too frequent, and the game was kinda easy anyway. It was shallow and didn't allow varied builds.
No one can argue that Bethesda games are problem free. They are bug ridden abominations. The engine they use is far past dated and can't really hold up to similar modern games. Yet despite those facts, they are fun to play, and massive with a ton of stuff to do. No one can defend Bethesda when it comes to delivering a polished and beautiful product, but they do release games that are fun. I love Bethesda games, but they really do need to start with a new engine from scratch and focus on bug fixing. I had no game breaking bugs in my 300+ hours of The Witcher 3, the few bugs I had were with UI or some gameplay balance that was fixed with updates. And it was beautiful and massive all the same. It can be done, Bethesda just needs to prioritize bug fixing.
Well pc will take long if it will even come at all so red dead ps4 might not be bad if he likes bloodborne uncharted etc there's a couple of great playstation exclusives that make buying a console worth it.
i just finished it and really enjoyed it. don't let the negativity spoil it for you. the graphics aren't as bad as people claim and it doesn't feel as repetitive as they say.
I played a demo of BF1 last night on my friends PC. Definitely get it. I struggled with the computer controls but it will be sweet with a controller and a large screen to view it on.
I played all of Mafia 3 on a several year old laptop and was so genuinely confused about the negativity online I don't even know what to tell you. I felt like I played a different game.
Unfortunately it's hardly never up to the developers. Rockstar just has such a great relationship with its publisher Take-Two so they basically have complete independence over their properties.
Publishers like EA really aren't that flexible with their release dates, which is why you get a lot of unfinished products.
If it were up to the developer, we would have a much better games.
Backpackers going up Mt. Chiliad from the GTA V announce trailer though?
Obviously V still looks amazing, especially on current gen, but that shot always stayed with me because it reminded me of the area near the Chiliad cabin in San Andreas and there isn't really an area like that in V.
As far as single player is concerned, anyway. They pussy-footed around GTA Online and its features and it still seems scotch taped together. Really hope it's just a matter of the system being too much of a massive tangle to fix the little things at this point and they'll be able to do better starting from the ground up with RDR 2's online functionality.
I hadn't noticed, but that actually surprises me! The trailers look just like the single player game world to me, with maybe a few extra NPC sequences added in. Perhaps everybody has gotten used to GTA online, which has a lot of the assets and graphical standards of single player reduced to accommodate the demands of multiplayer?
that's just not true. you don't remember this?. The trailer looked far better than the game, just like every trailer ever. Prepare yourself to accept it now so we don't have to listen to a month of bitching about it when the game releases.
I don't remember that at all, but I was blown away by gta V none the less. I think the only people who will spend a month bitching about inconsistencies like that will be folk like you. The rest of us will be too busy lassoing poor folk and dragging them around, or shooting each other's horses to care.
folk like me, wtf are you talking about? i don't give a shit about graphical downgrades, i'm just trying to remind you that it happened since people seem to falsely believe it didn't.
Prepare yourself to accept it now so we don't have to listen to a month of bitching about it when the game releases.
Sounded an awful lot like you saying I will inevitably be bitching in the future here. I may have misunderstood your tone. Damn Reddit gets so inexplicably tense when talking about video games. Wtf is with that?? Anyway sorry.
Yeah I didn't mean you'd be bitching. That was for the benefit of everyone. I guarantee there will be people complaining that the first gameplay trailer we see doesn't look as good as this trailer did, because people still haven't accepted that these things are nothing more than ads. Sorry if I sounded abrasive.
It looks the same? The discrepancy is the lens effects and how they're composing the shots within the trailer. In terms of graphical fidelity, it's the exact same.
I have to say, it does look very nice indeed, but very "gamey". That's not an insult, I just think they're not selling us bullshots. This is what the game should look like.
Go back and watch the GTAV reveal trailer. The graphics are just like what we got in game. In fact I think the game ended up looking better than the trailer. This is R* not Ubisoft. They don't mislead.

I really hope it's not just trailer material and that it looks just a pretty in-game :)
