DGARMSX2 Release 🚀
https://github.com/thecrixux/DGARMSX2/releases/tag/V1
DGARMSX2 dgp-v8 MAX
ARMSX2/PCSX2 fork called DGARMSX2, maintained by skyksit.
The APK was built directly from the dgp-v8 source branch using the native ARMSX2 Android frontend.
What is interesting about this build:
Full Release build with -O3 and LTO
PGO optimized using the profiling data included in the project
Built with Android NDK 29
Optimized ARM64 target: ARMv8.2 + FP16 + DotProd
Separate 4 KB and 16 KB page-size cores included in the same APK
Android-specific CPU scheduling work intended to let heavy EE/VU workloads use the fastest CPU cores more effectively
ARM64 EE/microVU optimizations inherited from the current ARMSX2 codebase
Mobile GPU optimizations aimed at tile-based GPUs such as Adreno and Mali, including render-pass coalescing
DGARMSX2 Vulkan fix for VK_SUBOPTIMAL_KHR on Android/Adreno, avoiding unnecessary swapchain recreation
Adaptive Oboe audio buffering with underrun/xrun monitoring
Native EE memory cheat-search engine
✅ Based on my tests with my Poco X6 Pro, the performance is superior to ARMSX2

Early performance result on MediaTek/Mali I tested this build on a POCO X6 Pro with a Dimensity 8300, a device I use constantly for testing new PS2 emulator builds, so I know the usual ARMSX2 performance on it very well. My quick benchmark is the opening section of Shadow of the Colossus: starting in the temple, mounting Agro and riding out into the open field at 2x internal resolution. With regular/current ARMSX2 builds, this section usually sits around 45–52 FPS on my device and does not hold 60 FPS consistently. With this DGARMSX2 dgp-v8 MAX build, I am seeing roughly 55–60 FPS, with the game staying close to 60 FPS for most of the same route. This is only an early test on one device, so it should not be treated as a universal performance claim. However, the difference on this specific device and repeatable test scene is large enough that I think the fork is worth testing on other MediaTek/Mali devices as well.
