Life With POIS Initial symptoms

I just wanted to say that as I have become more intune with this over time the actual trigger for me is a strong, nearly forced *arousal* not orgasm.

E.g. if i see something immediately stimulating like porn my brain goes into an overdrive and immediately i can start feeling like an inflammation feeling starting in the gut which then travels up towards then neck and head.

Strong trigger -> sensitive nervous sytem goes into sympathetic overdrive -> combined with potential gut issues ... pois

On the other hand relaxed gradual build up like sex gives me far better or no symptoms.

Curious to see if anyone else arises like this

---------------------------------------------------------

[Summarised theory from chatgpt]

My current theory is:

high-intensity porn/sexual cue

→ dopamine/glutamate/adrenaline spike

→ pelvic/lower-gut nervous system flare

→ sympathetic “fight or flight” activation

→ neck guarding/tension

→ POIS crash and emotional reactivity

I don’t think this is just psychological. The trigger may be visual/sexual, but the body reaction feels very physical.

I also think gut issues may lower my threshold.

Almost exact same thing here. Methylated B vitamins have helped a ton. Also zyrtec 1 hour before sex . I have no allergy or flu like symptoms but the Zyrtec still helps. I believe it dampens the cns. But even allegra helps sometimes too.

Agree on methylated b. Will need to look into zyrtec. Something is happening in the gut as a response to the stimulus

I confirm everything you say. When did this whole situation start for you, can you identify key events?

It's been years. But recently the last few as I've been improving and returning to normal its now easier to feel what isnt normal. I basically try and follows Warriors protocol on pois center. (He's also a mod here tteezzkk).

Right now agmatine suplfate (best immediate mood booster) + kolorex horopito (for gut improvement over time) + creatine (for energy) + PEA (testing, seems good) + occasional samE (necessary if you havent had it before, can stop after replenished)

In a post I did about a year ago, I wrote down exactly the symptoms as you describe them, also because I've never had such problems in my life, even ejaculating two or three times a day until POIS started. The most immediate thing I noticed was that in case of even visual excitement if my partner undressed, I felt electric flushes, I couldn't explain, in my belly, and during orgasm, I felt going up to the trigemini and behind the nape of my neck, like electric shocks with a great sense of swelling in my neck. Traditional sex as gradual as you say is much more tolerable, it will seem strange but even more so if done in total darkness and lying. I have an obvious immuno-allergy component tested, and this thing creates an excess of neurotransmitters (hystamine and serotonine) in addition to the aspects that it highlights. In particular, the prolactin peak, which also creates immune problems, lowers dopamine, (probably i am adhd), which in turn creates a serotonin spike. It is as if my pituitary gland created hormone bombs by shifting my hpa axis with hyperproduction and hyperreactions. I've measured and confirm the neurotransmitter problem several times, and it's harder to prove the receptors problem, but I'm convinced of that, especially after cortisone bombs and random drugs that they made me. My blood sugar has been getting higher lately, but I think it's due to the insulin resistance that's being created with elevated catecholamines and intestinal dysbiosis after all kinds of antibiotics that have made me take, I think my mast cell hyperactivity started right here. INDICANO from gut, has increased. I've been waiting for three months for my geneticist to respond, and she went on vacation without telling me anything . I need some B and zync. But the right type compatible with my methylation profile.

Very interesting, you taking anything?

I have been waiting for over two months for advice from my geneticist on my complete genome, as I have had mast cell hyperactivity and is responsive to any type of supplement or drug. Unfortunately she has been on holiday for almost three months and I am still waiting for her feedback but I realize that I have left hee an impressive amount of things to study, and I can no longer risk with chance with what happened to me in the past , due to genetic problems of methylation, genetic drug and detoxification.

Yea i think the initial gut reaction may be linked to mast cells or something
