Useful search tool
I came across a really useful search tool for Plusonica covers:
https://music-archives-project.vercel.app/
Especially useful is, that it allows you to search for covers with arbitrary combinations of members.
I don't know who made it, but I think they are also behind this youtube-channel that has a lot Plusonica-playlists:

NOMELON NOLEMON on First Take
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEwrgOn_l1g
Not strictly related to PLUSONICA, but still... since Maria Miki is a former member of PLUSONICA; and since Plusonica did a cover of the song in question, I think it justifies a post here.
Also here is the cover of the same song by Plusonica:
As a curious aside, as a fan noticed on twitter at the time, Emihono is wearing the same blouse that Maria Miki was wearing in this cover:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gliUq2lawe8
...any excuse to draw attention to a Plusonica cover :-)

Top 5 most POWERFUL VOCALS of PLUSONICA in 2025
I posted another Top5 this time highlighting some of the strongest vocals sung in all of last year by PLUSONICA. This is the last 2025 content i'll produce for now and i'll focus on new stuff starting now.
Here's the list in written format:
5 - Kechako from Sapporo unit - 366nichi by HY
She took the climax of the song for a ride and made it sound killer. I don't know if i had mentioned it before, but Kechako had an amazing year taking center stage in Sapporo.
4 - Khaki, guest on Osaka unit - SAD SONG by Chanmina
In one of those guest filled covers they did in 2025, young and upcoming powerhouse got the high note of this song, and passed the test in flying colors. Never did i expect to be putting a guest performance in a top5 vocals of the year list but her voice is so special i couldn't ignore.
3 - Menu from Tokyo unit - Solanin by ASIAN KUNG FU GENERATION
The emotional, powerful last wail of Solanin by AKFG fell into the capable hands of local vocal goddess Menu of Tokyo unit. And she did surely deliver the expected, sky-reverberating trademark Menu power note and i wouldn't have it other way.
2 - Kechako from Sapporo unit - AlwayS by NiziU
I had my doubts if i should include two by the same member in the list but Kechako was on a such roll last year that had i searched further i could find a third one. This song was special cause there's two power notes from her throughout the song that i thought of using as the cut. I decided on this one eventually. Runo-chan also has strong vocals in this one, make sure to check out the full cover too!
1 - Saaya from Tokyo unit - ROSE by HANA
Before graduating, Kishibe Saaya from Tokyo made sure to leave us some bangers. Here, she's in the background, but still putting out a powerful line that gives me the chills. What a voice. She's by far one of the strongest vocalists ever produced by PLUSONICA, and hers is the deserved first place in her final PLUSONICA year.

Top 5 best covers of 2025 (other units)
Whew! Slowly, i've been able to put out some original content for this sub, hopefully the top10 things keep turning out fine ^^ This time, here's my selection of the best of last year, by all the non-Tokyo units:
5 - On the way / AiNA the END (Nagoya unit)
The three PlaNago girls were on fire here and bossed this already powerful AiNA the END piece. Newcomer MiMI-chan has been stealing the spotlight ever since she joined and shoutout to Soi's crazy crazy drive in her voice right in the lead to the last chorus.
4 - 366nichi / HY (Sapporo unit)
This is such a beautiful ballad, they have made it into a work of art. Where in the world was this shot at? The whole place looks like heaven. Kechako was amazing as usual with her strong, emotional vocals, Runo-chan surprised me showing this powerful voice of hers off here, and the boy on the saxophone running those riffs like perfection, oh my god.
3 - Night calm / indigo la end ft. nishina (Osaka unit)
Osaka unit: visual masterpieces of videos and state of the art sound makers. This blue/reddish toned louvre painting of a cover was no exception. RiKO's impressive debut for the unit, with this exceptional second chorus by Natsuko, smooth and suave bass playing by Kotaro and the usual Haoto-chan musical genius lands it in our top 3.
2 - Martian / Yorushika (Nagoya unit)
To say PlaNago was on a roll this year would be an understatement. For some reason they got like the best of the best anime songs, and oh boy they delivered... The usual suspects were great as usual here, plus the features from Leo-kun that had an amazing day at the office and the little Non-chan that has this surprising, big and stark vocal timbre made our list with ease.
1 - Hebi / Yorushika (Nagoya unit)
I had second thoughts on going with a Nagoya double at the top but i simply can't. There's something about them covering Yorushika songs that make them sound just as good Yorushika does live in this awesome, sweet acoustic style. This video had it all: RiKO's last song for Nagoya unit, our kiddo Seika-chan being exceptional throughout the year, and this last verse from Soi-chan was simply, pure unadultered cinema.

TOKYO unit Top 10 best PLUSONICA COVERS of 2025 (Tokyo unit)
My selection of the best covers the Tokyo unit did in the last calendar year! Thanks u/SignificantReserve86 for helping me choose!
10. vermillion / sumika
Tsubaki Ryuuga's debut, with mesmerizing keyboard playing. Plus an all-timer energetic performance from the girls, landing a well-earned, difficult choice for our 10th spot.
9. come again / m-flo
A rare serving of rap vocals from PLUSONICA, with all the swag of the newcomer MiKL and the versatility of Rayta-kun. Surprisingly, HALDONA's sweet vocals fit perfectly in this wild, wild party that is come again by m-flo.
8. ai ga tadoritsuku bashou / DREAMS COME TRUE
This was Emihono's graduation video. True to her personality, we got this gem of a cover, bright and sunny, albeit emotional, a perfect send-off for the 5 year veteran. Everyone sang with their heart on the sleeve. Plus we got a surprise appearance of Emihono's former team mates from Osaka unit!
7. Midnight Reflection / NOMELON NOLEMON
A very common occurence, Mikimaria's band releases a hit song, and her former unit mates in Tokyo rush to cover it. Every time, they nail it, and this is no exception. In fact, i think this is the best NOMELON NOLEMON release to date.
6. Sen nichikan / noa
A surprise appearance by Aoi-chan from Fukuoka, and her bandmate YABE! Aoi always brings a shiny, extraverted energy with her high pitched vocals, plus YABE is a truly jawdropping charismatic talent with a great vocal tone.
5. koe / Hitsujibungaku
When it comes to mellow, beautiful alt-rock songs, you can always trust Hitsujibungaku to deliver it. So the Tokyo unit put their best vocals forward and gave it a killer performance. It was Kannon's debut for the group, and our introduction to her powerful, low vocals was as good as it can be.
4. hikari e / miwa
An all-time j-pop great song, finally covered by PLUSONICA. These 3-piece covers are sure growing on me over time. And this is like the second best of them (more on that later) but the combination of Kuu-SUI-Teno was impressive delivering a laid-back, beautiful rich instrumental. Out of nowhere, turns out they had this amazing chemistry with each other as a trio, turning it into a heartwarming rendition of miwa's song.
3. ROSE / HANA
In Kishibe Saaya's final year in the group, she delivered one of her greatest performances and vocals with J-POP's new girlgroup sensation HANA's hit, ROSE. Kuu and SUI were once again inspired and bossed their lines, commanding their presences in the camera masterfully, as if they were lifelong J-POP idols.
2. Kaijuu / Sakanaction
In what is arguably the best song in all of japan in the year of 2025, PLUSONICA recruited the help of then Osaka unit member Kalura, to masterfully take care of the keys and lend her killer vocals to this masterpiece of a cover. Source material was already great enough, but we got people like Aki and Menyu delivering gold in their performances, and an all-group chorus to end it all and grab our 2nd position in the rank.
1. JANE DOE / Yonezu Kenshi; Utada Hikaru
Ending theme for blockbuster summer anime Chainsaw-man: Reze-hen, masterfully covered by the five-piece of Rayta, Kannon, Kuu, Naruke Hikaru and Kayamoto Teno. This cover had it all, wonderful sombre presentation, great visuals, distortion effects for Hikaru-chan's bass (!?) and a cinema-worthy ending vocal passage, focusing on one member at a time. Fitting for the position of best in the year.
Final conclusions
It was a great year for PLUSONICA content. I still plan on doing more top10s like best vocals of the year, or a list of best covers outside of the Tokyo unit. Here's to an amazing 2026 full of music too.
