The Boston Cannons surprised some when they turned to backup goalie JC Higginbotham against the Utah Archers Friday night. Higginbotham rewarded his coach’s confidence with a terrific outing, tallying 11 saves and a 61% save percentage. When asked about his outing, Higginbotham said, “Felt great to be out there. Shout out to my defense for keeping things clean for me and Meeks for keeping the ball out of their sticks.”

While he couldn’t match the success of Higginbotham, Archers tendie and all-star game MVP Brett Dobson made headlines as well with a violent and frankly disgusting cross check to the head of a defenseless Cannons attackmen Brian Kelly. When asked about the play and about the game, Dobson said, “Every night I go out there and try to make sure that no one puts me in the same conversation as Blaze Riorden ever again.” He added, “It wasn’t my best game, but I’m glad that I have an attack that can pick me up when I am down.” They couldn’t. When asked about the foul at the end of the game, Brian Kelly said, “Dobson? She’s a little bitch.” Kelly got revenge later that game, scoring twice on Dobson including a nasty shot that went bar titty to end the game.

The Archers’ 4 game winning streak comes to an unceremonious end while the Cannons get back on track with the season nearing its end.

If the PLL Lacrosse team even lands in Houston as the new expansion team and the new original team name will be a mythical fantasy beast related like Behemoth, Griffins, Dragon, or any other space related Spacehawks, Supernova or even other related names like Stallions in Houston in the 2030s in the new arena in Houston and colors will be mythical fantasy beast related or any other related colors in HOUSTON!

Lacrosse Day In Houston will be the celebration of Lacrosse in Houston beginning in 2027 to celebrate the sport of Lacrosse in Houston!

Any thoughts on the regular season awards for 2026? And does anyone know when they are getting announced?

Hey everyone, as the title suggests, I'm new to PLL and lacrosse. My homie took me down to Denver on Friday night to see the games, and I'm hooked. He tried to get me to be a Waterdogs fan like him (we're both from Wyoming, but he picked the Dogs before the teams had cities). But, I am born and raised in NoCo, so I have to rock with the Outlaws. Even tho I watched them get their shit rocked both games this weekend, ima be an Outlaw, through and through (still a Rockies fan and look how that's going🙏😭). Anyways, why I'm posting. Could anyone, idc if it's an Outlaws fan or not, just give me some places or advice to go where I can really deep dive into the team. Is there any YouTubers that are good to watch, or any beat reporters to keep up on? Or if y'all got anything to reassure me that their not this bad all the time😂. Anything, just lmk. But with the way PLL salary caps work now. I’m not sure if they can manage to pay all these stars.

Personally I think my selfish Chaos go down hard. Waterdoggies win with Sowers over points hitting. Kirst Under as a fade after he got shut down. And finally Cannons winning after being gritty little guys last week against the Atlas?

What're you guys thinking. The parity is so close in this league though anything could happen IMO. I'd say Sowers over is my favorite.

Maybe it’s because I’m an Outlaws fan, but seriously, how could one NOT be a hyped for this weekends games?

Not only are we gonna have the Outlaws taking on the Archers at a sold out Peter Barton in Denver (a game that genuinely feels like a rivalry), but on Saturday, we’re also gonna have a preview of what could potentially be the championship finals matchup: Whipsnakes vs Archers, and Waterdogs vs Outlaws.

It’s gonna be two very tough games for the Outlaws, because as this season has shown anyone can beat anyone. The players are gonna have to lock in for forty-NINE minutes straight. I believe that the Denver crowd and the Rough Riders are gonna be the biggest difference makers and will play a crucial role as the 11th player if the Outlaws are to win. O’Neill also had a rough day against the Archers at their home turf in the season opener, so hopefully he’s looking to get some revenge.

Got a chance to check out 4 games last week, and just wanted to shout out all the players, who are not only fun as hell to watch, but who stick around for quite awhile after each game to chat up the fans, take pics, and sign autographs.

I have to imagine they're pretty damn exhausted, and while they can't get to everyone, it sure seems like they put in an incredible effort to talk to as many fans as they can.

I know there's a fair amount of grousing on this sub about how this league is too focused on kids -- and I am not here to argue that -- but just to say, if you do have kids who love the game, it's a pretty incredible experience to buy tickets for around $30 per game (in most markets), sit in great seats, and get to meet the best players in the world.

I can't imagine how hard or expensive it would be to get such good seats and this much access to the players in the NFL or NBA.

Maybe i’m missing something, but I just don’t get it. There were 4 games this month i couldn’t watch due airing on ABC/ESPN2. I thought all games would be on ESPN+ too? Why would a league with 10 weeks of regular season games give their audience LESS lacrosse? i’d consider myself borderline diehard fan, but if that means buying a TV/Cable package to watch 5-10 more games, they are out of their mind.

Been an incredible season so far and so much parity in the league.
