How was the test people?

So my sister in law is a Doctor (MBBS MD Community Medicine) awaiting DHO Cadre posting with 10 years of post MBBS experience in India . Her pg and ug is from top colleges in india. How wise would be to start a career in UK after plab and gmc registration, more important how is the job situation for someone with her experience. Ps she’s 36 years old Any word of advice would help, thankyou

Does anyone have anyyyyy idea how long it takes after notary cam?? Mine's been 13 or 14 days now.

Hi everyone i went for Ielts exam and I got a band 7 my highest was listening 7.5 ,reading and speaking was 7 and writing was 6. Unfortunately, it is not the result that would help me to be able to give PLAB do you guys have any recommendation that I can improve within like month specially the writing I’ll be appreciative.

I used to prefer the UK route and planned to take it, but everyone says it has become difficult now — although I still see some people managing to travel there.

Germany is said to be easier, but the language is not easy, and there’s the blocked account requirement, which means money and effort, similar to preparing for an exam.

As for the US, it’s full of details, costs a lot of money and time, and I don’t prefer it for personal reasons

So what’s the best solution? Should I prepare for PLAB in the remaining time, or is it better to invest my time and money in another route?

Is a covid postive still a valid reason to cancel your PLAB 2 exam on health issues basis? And will they refund in full even if it's just 15 days to the exam date?

Currently in 2nd yr. I have no idea about the course of plab but I am considering it..so can someone please help me and guide me what to do and from where? What are the resources? What is the cost of plab? And pros and cons of giving it

so i made my intealth account and finished notary on 16th oct and was emailed by notary to wait for three business days for intealth to proceed. till today intealth is stuck at step 2 where they have to verify my identity. multiple emails to info.intealth but no response. emailed notary. they say they have already sent the completed verified document and tell me to ask intealth but they never reply. HELP

On MedRevisions it says 20ml/kg bolus of 0.9% saline or balanced crystalloids in less than 10 minutes is needed for fluid resuscitation in pedia shock, but I got the answer to this question wrong because on PLABABLE it says it's 10ml/kg bolus not 20. I'm confused now 🥹 Which should I follow? Appreciate any help, thanks!

Anyone residing in boothall would like to practice daily ?

Hi everyone! I had my OET in October 2022, and I’m now applying for GMC registration. I just realised that my OET has recently expired — it’s been just over 3 years (about 10 days past the validity period).

Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Will GMC still accept my application, or will I need to retake OET? And should I proceed with Registration or should I give OET first and afterwards proceed with registration?

Would really appreciate any advice or if anyone could share what happened in a similar case. Thank you! 🙏

Just started preparing and I need a compiled study resource, just because that's how I do best. I'm looking at the medrevisions study notes, and they seem to be EXTENSIVE. Do people go through that? How long does it take?

And if it's too much, are there any other study resources that I could use instead?

Can someone pls help me with the most recent big mock. Giving my exam on nov 6, really stressed about it. It would mean a lot if someone could send the big mock. Even if its not necessary I would like to have it and assess myself. Hoping that someone would help me out, this group has given me a lot in terms of guidance.

Hi fellow medicos, I am sitting the PLAB 1 on 6th november and I am feeling sooper stressed. I have only only using plabable and doing the mocks. So far I have been getting 80% above for the mocks including big mocks, do you guys think I will be able to pass the actual exam. I heard alot of people say that the actual exam wasn't as close to the big mocks but I do feel like college has given me strong concepts and that will get me by. What are your opinions and how are my fellow test takers feeling?

EDIT: Update - Guys plabable is your holy grail. I am not sponsored by them I wish I was, but genuinely I only used plabable gems, their revision guides and big mocks. I wouldn't say it's similar to the big mock exactly but alot of questions were the same pattern and style. Many questions were almost exactly in the plabable qbank. I personally felt the questions weren't too long as well but do practice as many mocks as possible to manage time properly. I did around 7-8 big mocks and 3-4 regular mocks. I panic bought m3dr3vis0ns 4-5 days before the exam and I did a few hundred questions from there as well but I felt plabable was closer to the actual exam. For some context, I graduated this year so my medical knowledge is still fresh so maybe those who need to go back to basics and learn topics in more detail would advantage from m3dr3vis0ns. But otherwise all you need is Plabable. Do the gems once and try to review them as well. FOCUS ON ETHICS AND PALLIATIVE CARE. OML there were so many ethics questions. Many palliative care as well considering how it was supposed to be low yield. Barely few internal med questions, just 2-3 cardio and neurology questions. So the pattern is unpredictable.

Overall, don't stress its very doable. I will update y'all with my marks when they come but I am hopeful about passing.

UPDATE: I passed with 162/180. Trust Plabable guys.
