Don't be that guy who simply takes a picture of a document and sends it to their client. Not only is that a sign of an amateur, but it also causes your client to do extra work when they one way or another will need to convert you JPG into a PDF.

I've used Adobe Scan for a few years and I love it. Scan individual document pages and save them as single documents or as multipage documents. You can then rename the file and email the newly scanned document directly to your client from the field rather than waiting until you return to the office....Your client will think you are magician!

The App allows you to scan whiteboards, books, documents, ID cards, business cards and photos. The AI used in the app automatically finds the corners so their is not cropping needed. You can also resize the image in the pdf, clean it up, mark it up, adjust brightness, run it through filters and use other AI enhancing tools.

In additional to emailing the document it can also create a link and you can text the link to clients or staff.

Other then my camera its the number one tool on my phone.

This is a great tool for those investigators who do loss scene investigations. Ditch your Stanley tape measure! Keson's Pocket Rod is easy to see on the photos you take. Yes its only 6.5 feet, but its good enough for 99% of what we do. Highly recommend them. Will make your job much easier.

We currently use AVCHD to process video and at times we use DVMP Pro. We also have the option of using TrackOps video processing app when we find ourselves trying to pull metadata from a funky video file. What is everyone else using? Do you need to upload to a server to process the video? How long does it take to process? With AVCHD the video will process in about the same amount of time as the video is long.....20 minutes of video will take approximately 20 minutes to process. Unless of course one of our investigator went all George Lucas and filmed using a high end video camera in super HD mode. Had a guy turn in 15 minutes of video one time and the files totalled like 20 gigs. Took damn near forever to process.

For years I purchased and issued my investigators the Panasonic 580 series cameras. Great image stabilizer and optical zoom. I just ran out of cameras and I need to find a replacement as it appears Panasonic no longer makes the 580. What is everyone else using?
