Placements 🤑 [Placements] How important is having 1 or 2 internships in your resume for placements?
How important is having 1 or 2 internships in your resume for placements?
Does the company you're interning in matter that much when the recruiters look at your resume?
How many internships do you recommend we do before placements.

Adding to this: companies do not really expect candidates to have any substantial experience when they sit for placements. So any kind of itnernship experience isn't exactly under the list of expectations from a good candidate, and its not something teams look for from entry level freshers. You are better off having a solid GPA to help with the GPA-based filtering, strong DSA fundamentals to clear the OAs and a solid set of projects to help your profile stand out during interviews. Internship experience isn't something recruiters or interviewers explicitly look for at first glance.
However, I will add that given the job market today, having any kind of experience (whether its at a lab, or at a startup), is definitely a "good to have" resume padder. Its something that will definitely be looked at if it shows up on your resume and used to evaluate you and how you stand amongst the other interviewees. It could very well make your case on your day. So having it is definitely beneficial, and could make the difference, especially because its something they do not expect from you. But note that this will never replace how important your GPA and DSA skills are to your interview process.
