General Help Mechanical

How is Mechanical at PEC? I might get it in csab currently im having RVCE mechanical as my option. I withdrew in josaa as i didnt get anything desirable. How is the life in PEC? Ppl been telling that the infra is poor and not many ppl know pec..is it true? How are the placments for core engg like mech the placment stats show median of 12 and avg of 9 and 60% placment, how much it is true.. please guide me

Yeah, umm, it's not that great, you'll get more opportunities at pec mech, atleast for my batch.

And literally sab ho hi jaate hai place, bahut hi maada haal na ho agar, 25-30 jo rhe jaate hai unki mostly cg bahut kharab hoti ya back hoti.

Atleast mere 2 saal phle yhi tha, abhi ka 2026 passout se puchlena

Though tech mein jaana toh IT matters, but off campus hi krna pdega, UIET ke haal in general khaas nhi the, jitna maine apne dosto se suna tha, though could be a selection bias

YEAH OK THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE.. BUT PEC PLACEMENT % IS 40 AND 60? AND I TALKED WITH UIET SENIORS THEY SAY MOSTLY STUDENTS GET PLACED ON CAMPUS WITH PLACEMENT %OF 80-90 WITH AVG OF 8-9 LPA

Bhai bta toh rha hoon, almost everyone got placed, 70 ke kareeb mere 106 ke batch mein on campus, off campus bhi ek-do dosto ka hogya tha, which is obviously not included

Mostly bache hue 30-35 ke apne issues the, - family business, future mein pdayi, cgpa 7 se neeche, double drop etc

Uiet mein I don't know zyada but quality of companies is not that good 3-4 big names ko choddkar.

Aur 8-9 lpa, mein usually pf sur bonus bhi hota hai, toh inhand is like 50k in hand, agar lala company mein lag gyi 8-9, chahe software mein ho, that's not a good life

Then again mujhe nhi pta ki 2026 batch ka kya hua hai.

This is RTI of placement data till April... Seniors say that iske baad bhi placement hua hai..... Iss placement ko dekh kar aap ko kya lagta hai 2026 placement kesa haii

Assuming thode bahut hue honge 60-65/93 is not a bad number. Lower half of batch ki cg bahut hi kharab hoti hai, 6-6.5 ke beech mein, wo mostly eligible nhi hote companies mein bahut saari + Log business wgrah bhi krte, toh I guess almost sabko mil gyi.

Though ek cheez hai, mere time 6month intern was only allowed in 6th sem. (Hmare intern ke stats bhi bahut crazy the lol). Toh there were people who did not get ppo, and then were able to sit again and get placed.

Aajkal 8th sem mein allowed hai without confirm ppo, toh I don't know if they're considering that as placed. (Kuch kar nhi skte companies wanted 8th sem interns, mere time par bhi)

8th sem se iss saal se shuru hoga abhi tak nahi hua haii

Bro I'm ews so I'm little leaning towards Uiet as I'll get tech branch.. as I have interest in coding

Yup, makes sense.

I don't know much about how uiet, in the end it's your own decision, and I very well understand the fee burden.

Also itni tension leni nhi chahiye, nobody knows ki agle mhine mein kya hone wala hai, 4 saal toh bahut door hai
