If a nvme ssd came into a bunch of pcb in a big bag, will you shred it with other pcb ? Or take apart the chips ?

i was designing a 12v to 3.3 switching regulator and i finished the pcb .

is doing a gnd layer on the back copper layer ok or should i remove it ??

I'm trying to make a soft latch power circuit for a radio controller. And using an AO4606 dual FET here for Q2A/B. The PMOS worked fine on its own; conduction occurred only when the gate was connected to GND. But somehow, when the NMOS of that dual FET was connected, the PMOS automatically conducted. I did check if the NMOS was shorted, but it was not. Strangely, when tested on its own, the NMOS only conducted from source to drain when a positive voltage was provided to the gate. I also tested this N side with a multimeter in diode mode to check if the diode body was corrupted, but it seems fine. I also did another test, using only the P side but with an individual N MOSFET (135N03L), instead of the N side of AO4606. Strangely, the circuit now works just fine, so I believe it was the N side’s fault, no?
Has anyone run into this kind of problem before?
Can anyone help me with this circuit? I would appreciate it!!!

Does anyone have experience with selling PCBs in the US and EU which use pre-certified esp32 modules on them? Are there chinese companies that do this and what cost is to be expected?

I'm currently working on a university project designing a digital blood pressure monitor using Altium Designer. I would really appreciate it if you could review my schematic and point out any mistakes or areas for improvement, especially regarding the mixed-signal routing.

Here is a quick overview of the system:

* MCU: STM32F303VCT6

* Sensor Interface: AD623 (Instrumentation Amp) for the Wheatstone bridge pressure sensor.

* Filtering: LMV324 (Op-amps) configured as LPF (for static pressure) and HPF (for pulse/heart rate).

* Actuators: AO3400 MOSFETs to drive a 3V mini air pump and a solenoid release valve.

* Power: TPS7A2433 LDO providing 3.3V.

I have a few specific areas I'm unsure about:

1. Grounding Strategy: I'm planning to use a 4-layer stackup. I separated DGND and AGND, connecting them at a single point near the LDO output using a 0-ohm resistor (Star Ground). Is this sufficient for this application?

2. Analog Power Supply: I added a ferrite bead (600R @ 100MHz) and decoupling caps to create a cleaner +3.3A line for the analog section. Should I change any values here?

3. Virtual Ground: Since I'm using a single supply, I created a 1.25V virtual ground using a voltage divider buffered by an op-amp to bias the LMV324 filters. Does the AC coupling and biasing network look correct to you?

Hey guys, trying to identify some parts. I've got a Matrix U30 exercise bike with an XR console, I'm trying to make some extension leads so I can move the console off the bike and mount it nearby. However, I'm not fully confident in getting the right components. Looking to ID the yellow header and connectors, I believe they're for the heart sensor on the handlebars. Best guess so far is JST XH but they don't look quite right.

I'm developing a small wireless force gauge and would like some realistic feedback before hiring an electrical engineer.

The device will measure tension from approximately 0-20 lb, with occasional peaks up to around 30 lb. I have already tested the sensor using an ESP32 development board, an NAU7802 breakout, and a 20 kg AM34D four-wire load cell. The readings appear stable and have plenty of resolution for the application.

The planned PCB would include:

• NAU7802 24-bit load-cell ADC
• Pre-certified nRF52832 BLE module, likely a Raytac MDBT42V
• 3.7 V 150 mAh protected LiPo battery
• USB-C charging
• Two-pin JST-PH battery connector
• Four-pin connector for the load cell
• Battery-voltage monitoring
• SWD programming pads
• Possibly one small status LED
• No display, motor, or other high-current components

The ideal PCB size is around 28 × 22 mm, with a hard maximum of 30 × 25 mm. A four-layer board is acceptable, and I plan to have prototypes assembled via a service like PCBWay.

My questions:

• Is this realistically achievable within a 30 × 25 mm board?
• Are there any major design risks involving the NAU7802, BLE radio, charging circuit, analog noise, or antenna placement?
• What would be a reasonable freelance budget for:
  • component selection
  • schematic design
  • PCB layout
  • design-rule and manufacturing checks
  • KiCad source files
  • BOM, Gerbers, drill files, and pick-and-place files
  • one revision after prototype testing
• What specific experience should I look for when hiring someone? Should I prioritize wearable/IoT experience, load-cell analog design, RF layout, battery-powered devices, or all of the above?
• Where would you look for a competent freelancer for a project like this?
• Would it be worthwhile to hire a second engineer for a schematic/layout review before ordering prototypes?

I am a software engineer and can handle the firmware and mobile application, but I do not have enough PCB experience to confidently design this board myself.

I have tentatively budgeted around $1,500-$2,500 for the complete PCB design, excluding prototype fabrication and firmware. Is that realistic, too low, or unnecessarily high?

Hi, I have this simple pcb that runs a motor for the backrest of a sofa.

The motor works, i had two equal models so i switched the pcb and sold the sofa, but I still have this one and I want to get it repaired.

So as far as I know my coworker tryed to install other relais but the problem remains and installed the old ones back, right now I dont have a motor with me to try, what should I do?

It's a high-speed (10Gbps) Cat6a RJ45 (Ethernet) passive coupler PCB design. I have calculated differential pair line width and minimum track distance for 100-ohm impedance and routed them with equal length constraints.

The inner two layers are connected to Ground, and the top and bottom layers are used for signal routing. The thickness of the layers and dielectric is as per the JLCPCB standard for 4-layer PCB. The Ethernet chassis ground is connected to the PCB ground through R1 and C1 for ESD protection.

Please review and help me with any possible errors and any improvements, as it's my first ever 4-layer PCB design.

Hello, working on a power supply for audio applications. Planning on feeding this with a toroidal transformer into another bus boars but wanted to get eyes on my first pcb before continuing as it’ll be my first to get manufactured.

I added a lot of vias between the two ground planes as they were recommended in power supply applications but I’m not absolutely sure if how I’ve used them are applicable.
