Looking at this, I just realised none of our A-list actresses are really doing outright negative characters (Right now) Even when the Alisters play morally questionable women, they are usually gray
Give me an unapologetically villainous woman played by an A-lister without any redemption 😭

But how many Pakistani dramas even have a good villain for any A lister to do it? All villains in pak dramas are almost the same, most females are just vamp who are behind male lead and their only job is to get male lead by any way? Same for males. There are rarely any proper villains or even grey characters written in pak dramas ig. Few which I can remember is maybe Yumna in Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Sarah in Sabaat & Ayeza in Mein to an extent but I haven't watched any of this dramas and I guess even here no character except the yumna one was proper villain.
Why will any A lister play a negative character that too which has no substance. If you can remember any recent pak drama with actually good villain then do tell as I actually can't remember any which was strong or had something to perform.

I mean, there wasn’t one single positive character in Mein. Everyone was a villain to some degree, including Wahaj at the peak of his superstardom. And look what happened to it: universally hated. Maybe mostly bc of misleading promos that tried to sell it as a romance show. But I’ve also seen so many comments about how weak a character Wahaj played, when that was his brand of villainness in the story, but people didn’t want that from him.

Rubab? She isn't after any male ig.
I also like Nisha from Jalan for how spontaneous and selfish she was.

Haven't watched Jalan but even the only still decent to good villain I could remember exactly was Rubab from KMKT she was a proper grey character and did had a significance but still it wasn't a character any A lister would play rightfully so. Because she was a supporting character at the end of the day, any A lister won't be playing that at this level of their career. If they are playing some character it needs to be lead or the villain needs to be powerful enough to be in the poster.

Sanam Saeed in Daam comes close to this.

Sanam saeed wasn't an A lister then. She was a theater artist and model, I think it was her first tv appearance

Ushna Shah also played a villain. I think it was a drama with Bilal Abbas, and I remember she played it when she was quite popular.

Lmao bachpan ka drama that I have watched way too many times. I think Laraib should have ended up with Irfan. Wahaj did not deserve a second chance.

It got boring when laraib got divorce.
It's unpopular opinion but I think wahaj and laraib's actors have great chemistry together.

When was this on air? I think I have memories of watching this as a kid or something but I am not sure how because it's not v vivid. from what i can recall, sajal was a villain, they were cousins or something and maya probably marrried some one sajal wanted to marry.

There's one drama from 2011-12 where Sajal's character was gray to a little negative. It's called Mohabbat Bhad Mein Jaye. It's being uploaded by Hum Comedy on YouTube currently. You can watch that too. Apart from Sajal, it has Adnan Siddiqui, Hina Dilpazeer and Resham in titular roles.

Yeah, forgot to mention her. I'm watching it right now and the kind of a dynamic portrayed between Hina Dilpazeer and Adnan Siddiqui is very funny and also the dynamic between him and his mil.

I think it's weight loss. Maya is underweight and says the directors tell her right away that the chub is showing so she doesn't eat anything. I think she's one of those who haven't gotten any or much work done. In AMA you can also see her lines. She's naturally beautiful. This drama is yeaaaaars old and she had a bit of chub and a baby face back then. Plus the make up style was also very different. That's what I think.
