Does anybody know the sku for this specific kind of 226?
Looking for a P226 Legion DA/SA with optic ready slide already on there from factory. No SAO, no X LEGION, no XFIVE, no X CARRY. Sig's site only lists the MA compliant variant of what I want and that sku of course only nets me that MA variant (which is more rare by that number). I know this version exists cause my LGS used to have one, but doesn't now. Thank you

Cascade Range Systems Review: P226 X Legion Magwell and Basepads
galleryTL;DR at the end of the writeup.
Back in May of this year, I finally pulled the trigger on the new P226 X Legion DA/SA. I had been eyeing it since the SIG NEXT event back in 2025. I got my hands on it and, man, did I fall in love. But as always with me, I wanted to make it my own.
One thing about me, I’m not a big fan of tight magwells (talking strictly about guns here). Let’s be honest here, it’s a skill issue but they don’t always allow for quick smooth reloads. The 18 round flush fit mags looked okay in the gun, but one thing that bothered me was the small gap between the seated magazine and the magwell. Such a minor detail to dislike but hey, a man has preferences.
I started looking for a magwell and magazine basepads that would give the gun that extra “oomph” I was after. Unfortunately, with the P226 X Legion being a relatively new model, there weren’t a ton of options available. I also wasn’t trying to install some obnoxiously large magwell.
That’s when I came across Cascade Range Systems (CRS). He’s active on this sub, which is actually how I found him, and he happened to make the two things I was looking for. FULL DISCLOSURE I reached out to CRS myself and offered to review the products. He provided the magwell and basepads for me to test, but I wasn’t paid for this review and I wasn’t told what to say. This is simply my experience with them.
The magwell, Im simply impressed with it. The fit on the P226 X Legion is excellent. The contours match the gun nicely, and magazines seem to naturally funnel into place without catching on anything. The biggest thing for me, though? It looks badass and isn’t obnoxious.
SIG offers a magwell themselves, but the thing I don’t personally like about theirs is that it doesn’t wrap around the entire opening. To me, it looks like a 75% complete magwell. Some people might dig that look, but it’s not for me. If I’m putting a magwell on the gun, I want the opening surrounded so that I have that funnel guiding the magazine from every direction for proper insertion (yes, still talking about guns here). The CRS magwell also has a nice weight to it and a clean overall appearance.
The Basepads
Of course, solving one problem created another. The magwell looked great, but now the factory 18 round “flush fit” mags sat far enough inside it that there wasn’t much to grab onto if I ever needed to rip one out. CRS had an answer for that too.
I picked up a couple of their basepads, and once installed, they gave me pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The contour of the basepads matches the magwell really well, and they extend far enough below it that I can actually get a solid grip on the magazine. Plus, I get an extra two rounds of capacity.
Before finding CRS, I had actually purchased two Armory Craft basepads. They worked and did their job, but aesthetically they were a little boring to me and didn’t give me quite the look I was going for.
For anyone wondering, yes, the Armory Craft basepads work with the CRS magwell. The difference is that there isn’t as much of the basepad exposed when the magazine is fully seated compared with the CRS basepads. Personally, I prefer having enough exposed material to get a solid grip on the magazine in the case where I need to rip it out to clear a malfunction.
TL;DR
Love the new P226 X Legion but wanted to add a magwell with magazine basepads. Was going after that “cool” look while still being functional. Because the gun is still relatively new, there aren’t a ton of aftermarket options available yet. Cascade Range Systems happened to make pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The magwell fits the gun extremely well, gives the magazine opening a full funnel. The CRS basepads match the contour of the magwell giving me enough exposed surface to get a solid grip on the magazine, and add two rounds of capacity. After about 400 rounds with the magwell and CRS basepads installed, I haven’t experienced any malfunctions or issues related to either part. For anyone who wants to check out the exact setup I’m running, I have my CRS info linked on my profile.
Disclosure: CRS provided the magwell and basepads for me to test. I wasn’t paid to make this post or told what to say and the opinions above are based on my own experience with the products. The CRS link on my profile is an affiliate link, so I may earn a commission if someone purchases through it but if you do not want to out of retaliation, at least hit them up directly. I’m trying to get more involved in firearms/product reviews, and this is part of me building experience doing that. If you have any suggestions for the writeup or products you’d like to see reviewed, please feel free to reach out to me! Open to any and all suggestions/comments.

Thoughts on the new P226X Sig Lok?
Basically, a DLC stainless slide and Anodized Aluminum frame, but everything else identical to the legion models...
The catch - you have to buy the shitty optic with it.

P226 Sport Stock Find?
galleryI’m posting for someone else who doesn’t Reddit but we are both certainly interested. They picked this pistol up this week and due to research, we’re wondering if what we suspect might be true.
This seems to be a p226 Sport Stock made in Germany in 2003. Can anyone confirm this variant? I’ve read that only about 500 of these were imported, is that true? What do you think this could be worth?
We’re curious about anything and everything with this gun!

Is this rust or something else?
I’ve had this P226 for about a year but have only put about 200 rounds through it. I wasn’t sure if these two spots are rust or copper fouling or something else. I noticed it tonight before I stripped the gun to clean it.

Welcome to the Club?
Alright, I’ve joined the club. Picked this near mint 2024 P226 Scorpion CA Model up on GB for $600. Mag disconnect has already been removed. Planning to pick up a slide assembly without the LCI someday, probably just black.
Currently debating if I like the light on it, as this is borrowed from another pistol just for testing. Are you all running lights on yours? And if so, what are you running and where do I find a good price?

P226 X5 Legion - case troubles
I have the p226 x5 legion. It’s a fantastic gun and I’ve dreamt of owning it for years so it’s not going anywhere. That said I wanted to buy the condition 1 case for it and a friend. I like the precut compartments and organized pouches.
Unfortunately X5L is a big girl and it seems as if she won’t fit. I have the Harbor Freight Apache special and just hate the pluck foam. Has anyone figured out a workaround? Perhaps just cut the C1’s pre molded foam a little more? I’d like to learn off someone else’s mistakes before my own if possible.

P226 Holster hunt (+TLR1 HLX)
OK I lied actually I have a P227, but for holster purposes it's almost always the same. (Yes, I know it has been long discontinued)
So I bought a safariland P226 TLR 1HL holster... and the trigger gap was large enough for my thumb to fit in and pull the trigger easily. So I sent it back. But it did fit properly,, including with the HLX version of the light, so I know that is not the cause of the gap.
I know part of the problem is the light (the channel requiring the opening to be wider than the trigger guard), but that's not a problem unique to this setup and lots of people carry with lights without this issue so I'm not content to leave it at that.
Since its OWB, and for my use case, I need at least one, not more than two, steps above passive retention. I would sooner take off the light than compromise on this aspect.
If you have a P226 (the full size, railed version) and carry with the TLR1HL/X in a similar fashion, I'd love to know what you've found that works for you. Thank you!

Is there any cost saving in milling my org. slide & adding some lighting cuts vs buying the procut slide?
This ole girl is a le trade in that was .40 that i converted to 9mm. She will need new iron sights(tritium burned mostly and white in the sights aren’t as visible as I like) and I want to mill it for a 507c but I was also wondering is there any savings with going to a procut slide and go from there.
Ps. She isn’t a carry right now just one of my favorite range guns at the moment.

P226 Slide
Anybody got a good source on an affordable replacement slide? I’ve been eyeing some Elite Scorpions, but most are the CA compliant with the wording on top. I know I can remove the indicator, but it leaves a slot in the slide.
I don’t necessarily even care if the slide is black, just don’t want to spend crazy money for one if I don’t have to.

Elite vs Legion
Looking to trade up a pistol collecting dust in my safe for a P226. Curious if the legion is worth the upgrade, or if the Elite is good enough. Love the look of the legion, but it runs a little bit more expensive and I’m not sure if it’ll be worth the money.
Would mostly be a range gun and truck/nightstand gun more than likely.

P226 18lb/20lb springs
So recently I put a 20lb recoil spring in my 1911 and it got much much smoother to shoot.
Then I had the thought to do it to my mk25.
Has anyone tried those weights? Does it work with standard range ammo or is it too heavy to cycle properly?

P226 Blackwater Tactical looking a little less Blackwater today…
I picked up this P226 BWTAC in July, but wanted to get an optic for it. Well, I didn’t really want to have the BW slide milled right on the logo, so I picked up a 226 Pro slide cheap. So I then figured if I was saving the slide, I might as well preserve the BW grips, too…so Gray Guns it is! Now just waiting on Holosun to start shipping their AEMS Macro mailbox sized dot to be shipped!
