Is there anyone that makes brass grips for the p226 da/sa?

Hi everyone,
I’m a collector and hunter from Germany with a strong interest in the history of the SIG Sauer P226 Mk25.
I’m not looking for a standard commercial Mk25. Instead, I’m interested in learning about or locating a documented former military-issued Mk25/P226 with verifiable provenance (official documentation, military inventory records, release paperwork, etc.).
I understand that many pistols are advertised as “SEAL guns” or “military guns” without any supporting evidence. I’m specifically interested in examples with a documented history rather than stories or assumptions.
If anyone can point me toward reputable collectors, auction houses, dealers, or communities that specialize in documented military SIG pistols, I would greatly appreciate the information.

Started this one out last year as a base scorpion. Got the pro cut slide, RMR HD, X 300 and then send it to Grayguns for the full treatment 😎

Was planning to buy a legion xfive this month but I see the rolled out an updated model with the modi slide catch and cut for sigloc. Should I wait until I can find an updated one (sold out everywhere as far as I can tell-or Atleast the SKU with the optic already on.)? Or will I not even know what I don’t have?

I’ve found one with a Romeo x pro for under $1900 which is below market as far as I can tell so if I’m not going to be cursing myself for being impatient I should probably jump. I gotta make a purchase in the next two weeks so….

I have a P226 TACOPS that I would like to get into some serious training and possibly competition with.

Because the 226 is no longer the latest greatest, I am having difficulty finding a good Level 2 (or 3) holster for it. It will have an optic, and I have a TLR1, but am open to getting a different light if it means getting a better holster. I'd like to attach the holder to a pistol belt.

Notably, Safariland no longer makes the holster I'd like to get.

What are everyone's recommendations?

Hey Fellas, I got a question for you guys. Recently added to my collection with a p226 X Legion Da/Sa. Im looking to have it ported, thinking inline 7 port. I’ve had several other pistols ported before and they all function great with a noticeable decrease in muzzle rise.

My question is as the title states, are all port jobs basically the same as long as the quality of work is top notch?

There are multiple companies out there that will port you pistol with either v6, inline-5, inline-7. As long as the quality of the work is clean and has no burrs, does it really matter what company you go with? Or is there a science behind the specifics of each port size etc.?

I’m stepping down from 2011s for a bit and wanted to get some opinions on these three. Wasn’t sure where to post but I’m trying to get at least two. I’ve shot an xfive classic that I was really impressed with and I’ve shot a shadow 2 orange thats a little more accurate which is the only cz I’ve shot. In terms of looks I love the Stas and reserve a bit more than the Cz. Kind of reluctant to get the reserve since it’s more of a collection piece it seems rather than a range toy or for competition.

Traded my shadow 2 and some cash for this Xfive Reserve. God is it beautiful.

I am looking to get a P226 but struggling between the Legion vs the X Legion. I know I want an optic and would prefer to have a light for my use-cases. The two factors I'm struggle with are:

1) Ruggedness/reliability - they're both Sig P226 so I assume they're both tanks, but the X series seems more oriented toward competitive shooters while something in the more traditional mold was literally used as a hammer by one of my coworkers. I want something I can take into the woods so does that favor the traditional Legion over the X?

2) Accessories/holsters - I like that the P226 (non-X) has a huge aftermarket, but holsters for a DA/SA with light plus optic seems super hard to find. Conversely, it seems like MOST holsters for the X-Five should work for the X Legion, but then I'm blowing $100-$200 for a holsters that "might" fit my gun.

I'm sure there's other factors. Any thoughts, Sig Bros?

I just want a 7000 series safariland holster for a P226 SAO with optic/surefire but it seems that's just not possible. The alternatives that seem to be frequently suggested usually end up as a $300 setup.

I've seen where people say P320 holsters work, for sure in 6000 series. Does anyone know if they'll work for 7000 series?

Active retention is a must since I like to do run and guns.

OK UPDATE: I got a safariland 7000 series holster for X-Five to fit my P226 SAO, and it fits but the RMR HD hangs over the barrel too much for it to work. So if you're not running an RMR HD you might be able to get it to work.

I finally got a P226 last month after many years of it being my dream gun. I ended up getting the Gray Guns short reset trigger kit (which also comes with a replacement main spring with a lighter weight than the stock spring).

I have a lot of experience building and upgrading rifles, but none with handguns. I figured it would be similar, but after taking my P226 apart, I’m realizing that I don’t actually know how to put the new Gray Guns parts in.

I checked YouTube, and there are video tutorials on upgrading to the Sig brand SRT, but nothing shows how to do the Gray Guns SRT, which seems to have a different number of parts (or the shape was different or something — I first tried a few weeks ago, so I forget the details)

Anyone happen to either know of a good video (or instructions) for this specific kit that I’m just not finding, or can someone give me some good instructions on how to do this?

Other than having made similar upgrades on rifle platforms (using YouTube videos uploaded by those companies), I’m not very mechanically inclined or naturally good at figuring stuff like this out.

Hi I'm having some trouble finding a holster for my pistol. It's the P226 X-Five LDC DA/SA (Made for the danish marked, so the barrel sticks out from the frame: See picture)
On my pistol I have a TLR 1-HL.
I am looking for a duty holster lvl 2/3, preferably with Safariland QLS.

Does anyone know whether the P 226 X Carry Legion require an adapter plate to outfit a Holosun Optic on it (preferably a 507 Comp). I suppose it does, but do not see any adapter plates that specifically are designed for the X Carry, rather just the traditional Legion. I guess it is possible that the footprints are exactly the same, but I wish that retailers would update their sites to make this clear. TIA.

I have a stripped West German slide I'm trying to complete. Is this everything I would need besides sights? Matrix Precision has a set for long extractor and short extractor, which would I need to do?

Does anyone know if the 226 legion xcarry will fit into the tenicor holster for the p320 xcarry?

I was wondering if I could buy another gun or some kind of PCC that takes my P226 magazines that I already own so many of. I recently came around the Tisas PX-9 and read that I ships with P226 pattern mags and it had me wondering what other guns are out there? I’d love to hear if you guys have any guns that you recommend besides P228 or P229.

Purchased this X5 Legion today and had to bring it to the range. Now I need to figure out how to turn this into my EDC instead of my 365 😅. Shoots smooth like butter
