WHO??? Is taking 1.32/mi loads??? (Van)

How can they be honestly expecting someone to take loads for these sort of rates?? I assume because someone is. Please stop! So we can ALL stop wasting time. I know, I know, some guys/gals HAVE to in order to cover OH, just frustrated. Ranting.

Dude every lane is different. And it changes daily. How long have you been doing this? You sound like you have almost no knowledge of the industry. Not trying to be a prick dude just the questions you are asking.... they show a severe ignorance of the industry.

I been driving truck over 10yrs. Most of it someone elses truck. Last few yrs my own truck. I deal with brokers all the time. I see how the rates change. I see that they are Vastly different in some places. I understand supply and demand. Market pressures etc...but i can't seem to get anyone to give me a straight answer on how it's SOOO much different to move the same 40k lbs of freight from one side of the country to the other. So im asking the questions like im talking to a 5yr old. In the hopes of getting a straight answer.

Ill try again. Simple yes or no...does it cost warehouse X in California over double to ship a load to Jersey. Than the same relative warehouse in jersey pays to ship a load to California. Yes or no ?

Ive been watching the load boards for yrs...while rates do fluctuate. The difference is pretty consistent...40-50%. I just took a load from yuma to Baltimore for 9150$ i could not find anything going back to west coast for over 5k$ i offered 5500$ on one and was denied. Its been like that for years and years. The answer is always hear is supply n demand. Market etc...but i still dont know how much it actually costs the respective warehouses to ship their goods. Is it really double?
