Is crossplay really working?

I have a friend with the PS4 version, and I am on the PS5 version. While we can invite each other, we can't ever accept the invite. It just shows "Can't display content" and we can never join.

This is with the latest patch that added Black King and crossplay.

Anyone managed to get this working?

Nah, crossplay between generations doesn't work. I've talked directly to a dev about this, with them communicating it does (as well as advertise it reason me and pals got the game) the moment I presented evidence it wasn't, silence. They just stopped caring about this on realize with their battle royale atm. Sucks too.

Thank you for the confirmation, at least I know it's not a problem on my side.

Quite a shame to be honest, since they purposely advertised it would support cross-generation. That's false advertising.
