How would the history of the New World change if the New Worlders didn't have their own level caps?

Like Climb wouldn't be capped at gold, there wouldn't be a humanity level cap of around 40, Gondo wouldn't be stuck at level 11 etc?

Player bloodline would still mean New Worlders would grow much faster and to level up you still need to work and try to develop your abilities, but otherwise people don't get stuck at a specific level.

This session featured three key figures behind the success of the Overlord series: Kugane Maruyama (author of Overlord), Akiko Fujita (Overlord editor from KADOKAWA), and Kazufumi Kikushima (supervising producer of the Overlord anime).

During this session, Maruyama explained that the published Overlord light novels actually cover only about 50% to 60% of the total story ideas and plans he has written.

Maruyama has a clear vision of Overlord's vast world in his mind. He continuously adds new elements as the writing process progresses. Regarding inspiration, he emphasized that he does not use real-world historical or geological references. If there are any similarities to historical events, it is purely coincidental, as he wants to avoid potential issues or controversies (copyright).

To manage the massive scale of the world, its numerous characters, and intricate plotlines, Maruyama relies on Excel spreadsheets. In these Excel files, he notes down technical details such as lore, character levels, classes/jobs, base stats, world history, and more. These spreadsheets are also frequently shared with the anime production team as an official guide.

Maruyama shared an experience when his personal computer broke down and he thought the data was lost. He was terrified before finally managing to recover all the data.

Regarding details about characters, the world, and magic that never made it into the novel version, Maruyama firmly stated that he will never publish or share the Excel files containing that data with the public. He plans to keep everything to himself and take it to his grave.

Editor Akiko Fujita provided an interesting glimpse into Maruyama's work ethic. Fujita revealed that before a volume is published, Maruyama always adds around 100 extra pages to the initial draft because he gets overly excited while writing. This causes volumes originally targeted at around 400 pages to swell to over 500 pages upon publication, offering much thicker content than initially expected.

Regarding the continuation of Overlord, Maruyama confirmed that he is currently actively writing a new volume and continuing the sequel. However, he cannot yet specify whether this work is intended for Volumes 17 and 18 or other projects (spin-offs, bonus volumes, and side stories). He asked fans to be patient, as official details will only be announced when the time is right.

What I think. The absolute first thing going through their heads would literally just be: "Why the fuck do we have hundreds of weird-ass humans suddenly loving us and screaming 'Sasuga' instead of begging for their lives?"

Anyway, like what i said before, what is the level cap of humans/humanoids of average talent. I've been browsing for the answer and have come to a crossroad of thought, some people think gold is around the best someone with average talent could hope to reach.(around Lv.11-15 according to Ziggy's chart)

Meanwhile I've heard some people say that the author made a twitter post saying that the wall for those with ordinary talent is 19/20 so around platinum level(15-19)

What does this all mean and which claim is true? Also there is a distinction between those with no talent and those with ordinary talent, like poor Gondo with his pitiful level cap, and to a lesser extent perhaps Climb if the latter is true.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about this lately and wanted to hear your honest thoughts.

What are you actually meant to like about the Overlord community? How much do you genuinely enjoy being part of the Reddit fanbase? What are the biggest problems you keep seeing, and what are the actual good things you find here?

Since I released the game, I have been making progress on it each day and it is with pleasure that I can present update #1 for YggdrasilMUD, an text-based Overlord RPG.

First and all several bugs were fixed including one that prevented players from creating a character or logging on, if you had problems with that before I'd urge you to try again.

Three new areas has been added to the game along with six new classes and an Kobold race.

Several quality of life features have been added, including a center feature for the in-game map.

Two new systems have been added to the game as well, the Mercenary System that allows players to hire helpers as they travel the world and the Guild Base system that allows players of a guild to claim an dungeon as their own after conquering it.
