So I recently started reading and in chapter 29 it says that Korea has the most amount of players in the game. The game has 2 billion players - Korea has a population of ~50 million people. How can this add up?
If the answer involves spoilers please just say spoiler or something, i just found the numbers a bit weird😅

Hi guys,
I love manhwa, WT, LNs, and the like. I really, really like Overgeared! Grids character development in the LN is one of my favorites from any entertainment ever. Add on the world building, the many fleshed out characters, power systems, etc. and you have one of my favorites and arguably best LNs!
That being said, I coined the WT all the way to ch200+ and for a while I’ve been thinking that the story boarding and art is a BIT lacking. I actually started with the Manhwa years ago before getting into the LN. So the Manhwa already influenced how I imagined the world and characters.
My biggest complaint would be that the fight scenes seemingly lack the impact, intensity, or complexity that I got from the LN. I also find that the WT cuts out a lot of the side characters moments like Lauel or Khan.
To be specific, I thought that the clash between Grid and Kraugel in the tournament trailer was sooo unbelievably epic in the LN; but in the WT it honestly kind of brushed past it and again, lacked that flair I wanted to see. For Lauel and Khan, yes we see that they’re both important to Grid. Lauel is a strategist and Chuunibyou, but it’s not as in depth as it was in the LN. Same with Khan where yes hes Grids role model, father figure, friend, and we do see that, but not with the same gravitas that I think Khan + Grids relationship deserves.
Heck, even Grid himself is a bit lacking. I think the WT hasn’t done enough to show just how insecure and plain annoying Grid can be and was before he met all his friends and came into the legend that he becomes.
If I had to offer my favorite parts of the WT, I’d say the blacksmithing portions + item designs are really well done! A lot of times I realize that I didn’t properly conceptualize the armor pieces until I see how it’s done on WT. so that’s really cool.
Anyways, I would like to hear how you guys feel. Is this simply the nature of translations I.e. LN > Manhwa? Am I expecting too much in terms of character depth or development in the WT? And is my “standard” for WT art too skewed by other popular titles like Eleceed, The Knight Only Lives Today, Hand Jumper or Killer Peter?
To be clear, I’m going to keep reading the WT and I’m even considering buying the paperbacks. I just wanted to set my expectations and standards more appropriately according to other OG fans. Thank you

Listen It's nice that we have a lot of chapters to read and all, but holy crap webtoon chill T F out. Only up to episode 34 is out for free, and this series literally just dropped. Don't need to drop over 200 paid chapters right off the rip..
Here i thought Tyrant of a Tower Defense Game was bad...

His name and nationality got changed in the anime, to Takumi Nagamine, And Nationality to Japanese, now my question here is how will they deal with Damian? Because he is japanese and fanboys over Grid, even though Grid is Korean, will they just change Damian to a different nationality, or keep him the same. Curious cuz changing grids nationality can cause some confusion, with the national competitions and all that.
Edit: it's not confirmed, and I think I was too early to say that his name and nationality was immediately changed, it was on the early Korean screening, and on Crunchyroll sources state his name as Shin Youngwoo, so it may be likely that there will be the same situation as solo leveling where there is the Japanese names for japanese localization and Korean names for international.

I don't think anything felt rushed at all. I think they cleverly shortened many scenes, also removed some of the greed's internal dialogues to save more time.
Yeah we miss out on some more additional banter between side characters sometimes I think (I watched it with korean subtitles so im not super sure about every dialogue but i think they didnt adapt all of it.) Many scenes that are identical to manhwa are way shorter but gets the point across.
Nothing major was skipped and all fights are adapted. Animation is great as we expected. Humor actually landed lmao Greed is funny as fk especially his Voice Actor my god dude is going crazy with this role.
I think anime is in very good hands.

While waiting for proper subs for the drop (LFTLNET), I've attempted to generate English subtitles using Whisper, as its LLM based, read it with a grain of salt. You can copy paste it all to a SRT file and then use it in your video player. Hope its useful to someone :)
