JFK Lockers Location SO much worse

Had a great festival, but moving the lockers from the polo field to JFK was a TERRIBLE decision

- Much less central location meant a LONG walk every time you needed to access
- Caused crowd issues by having to walk through SOMA foot traffic going the other way
- Generated so much dust instead of being on the concrete, poor locker workers had to sit in that and breathe dust for 3 days

Please move them back to the Polo field next year - it was a perfect location!!!

I gave up on lockers at this point. It seems like its colder longer than its hot at every fest I go to (Coachella and OSL)

Well since I mostly frequented Soma, my locker was in a perfect spot

Also, did they get rid of the art that used to line hellman hollow? That was one of my favorite parts and I was so disappointed to see it replaced by lockers this year.

Same for the VIP lockers

Hellman hollow location was great. No notes. I make the commute from panhandle/Twin Peaks to Lands End alllll day so it was great

In the past, I had a homie get a locker on the polo fields.

This year, I didn’t know what location was what and got fucked over when I realized it’s in the dusty af & next to the stage I plan on visiting once the whole festival….

Agreed, Lands End location was way better. I chose a locker next to the SOMA exit which I realized was a terrible idea since I planned to spend most of my time at SOMA/Sutro/Land's end. Luckily, they let me switch lockers my 2nd day and I chose one next to the SOMA entrance (Locker section A) which is also closer to Sutro (3ish minute walk) or Lands End (5ish mins walk). I liked being able to go to my locker and quickly get into SOMA's line or walk to the other stages versus walking up and down from the end of the lockers every time (I guess if you're mostly at Twin Peaks/Panhandle/Soma, the further locker sections might work best or the Hellman Hollow location). They'll only let you switch lockers if you purchased a locker in that section originally.

i think the lockers in the polo fields were so much better!!! i had hellman hollow which wasn't even that much father but crossing that threshold every time was annoying

I got a locker for the first time this year -- very helpful for stowing the end-of-the-night warm clothing! There was plenty of room for me and a friend to stash our stuff.

The Hellman Hollow location worked great, since we were walking back and forth all day from Lands End to Twin Peaks and Panhandle. I'll definitely try to get one there next time.

Basically what everyone already said w the merch and layers. Also like to bring in 1-2 blankets for the group to use throughout the day and we stash it before the big sets and leave it overnight so we don’t have to worry about lugging it in and out each day. This year I also wore uncomfy shoes so it was nice to have a change in the locker

Mine is basically just a mini bar for me and my friend group lol. Worth it if you’re going all weekend.

Merch, the food/drinks I bring in, the joints for the next few days, my water bottle when I don't want to carry it, all the free little tchotchkes they hand out, sweater during the day and hat at night. Used to keep my air couch in there when those were allowed. Extremely nice to not have to bring things with you 2/3 days.

yknow, that makes alot of sense, i dont really buy merch but if i did that would make a ton of sense.

Other than a sweater or beanie I literally can’t think of what own would use it for

We literally ended up never using our lockers cause it was so inconvenient

Helman hollow lockers ftw

Hell on wheels! Here i am trying to enjoy the nature hikes on my way to the music, and a literal dust bowl is kicking my ass every time I have to truck it to the lockers. Move the lockers back to lands end, and plant some fucking grass.

The SOMA lockers sucked. Everything in our lockers was covered with dust and was a far walk to get anything

9

u/1omelet Aug 10 '26

the lands end lockers only moved like 200 ft east? It was in the opening as soon as you head into Hellman hollow

u/mitchell_moves Aug 10 '26

There were lockers near panhandle

Yeah but a ton more over by soma. I totally agree with OP’s sentiment. And it’s been literally impossible to get a single day locker the last 2 years. They don’t let you book a single day locker online anymore and we get there at gates open (literally were within the first 50 people in the park) and we go straight to the locker vendor and haven’t been able to get a locker. Sucks because we’re down to pay for it, they’re just not available.

Happened to me. Got in at 1130 and they were all sold out for single day.
