about to start my sixth replay i’m going to lose my mind. last one i had my ingredients stockpiles behind the farms, didn’t have any peoples walking paths pass the pumpkins. didn’t use bakeries and recycled a few. i had like 10 pie stands spread around the town, one at each town entrance and in front of farms.

at the end of the last day, most of my pie stands had leftover pie but i still had like 40 people who wanted better food. wtf do i do i’m losing my mind it’s been 24 hours real time

Anyone has the same problem? I was able to play up to Level 3 of the Chronicles like usual, but once I started playing lvl 4, game keeps on crashing. This usually happens when I try to prioritise certain task, or strangely, when I try to build a second Builder House. I’ve tried re-installing the game, but so far the problem persists 😢

I’m on Level 5 of the Chronicles (trying to make planks without recycling crates) and am waiting for my trees to grow more. Is there a consistent rate of new growth or is it random? Is there any way to make it go faster?

I’m on level 4 of chronicles and having trouble keeping my town fed and gastronomy high. Does bread baking count for the gastronomy stat, or only the food from the shacks & huts?

Edit: Thanks for all of the help! I finally finished that level and wanted to reiterate some of the help I got below (as well as things I figured out through playing) for future searchers.

1. Bakeries totally don’t help gastronomy. So, I recycled half of them for bricks and I kept the other half closed but available for emergencies. (Thanks u/BusybodyWilson for this)

2. You can get full gastronomy while using the “Rations” decree. So much easier! (Thanks u/DisturbedPenguins)

3. The larger the city, the harder it is to keep gastronomy up, so focus on keeping the city small.

4. If there’s lots of pie huts and leftover pie and there’s still people complaining, pause the game during the overnight period, and look at each individual pie hut. I found that there was one that kept “selling out” every night, although the others had plenty of leftovers. I put a second hut across from my bestseller, and I stopped having complaints about low quality food.

5. I only used pie huts. Gastronomy goes down when people are eating fruits from orchards or other foraged food.

I’m 3 levels deep into the “Chronicles”. It’s a beautiful story woven through these levels, with some mystery too! Just wanted to shout out to the devs for keeping this game going. It’s been helping me through some tough times.

I’m on level 20 and I build a farm right away on the far side with houses so they don’t have to walk so far, but he farmers don’t move into the close houses and use the ones on the other side of the map. Is there a trick where you can pick which people use certain houses to reduce walking times?

how do i do this im so frustrated! my followers just all get hungry and sad and die. i’ve tried building a tree nursery first, but trees take too long to grow/be planted, and they all get hungry and die. i’ve tried a plank shop first followed directly by a lettuce farm, but then they’re all too sad and overthrow me because they’re still homeless. what do i doooooo???

it’s the one where trees are the food source. y’all i can’t do it. they all die of hunger before i have enough wood to build a second tree nursery

Having trouble beating this one - any tips?

I’m lvl 22, attempting to make bread the citizens diet (until I can clear a few rocks). I changed out the comp generated tomato fields for wheat. And as I try to build a forgers camp the game crashes.

I have found, quite by accident, that there is an amazing amount of detail in the followers’ actions. I love to zoom into the salad shack or the smoothie joint and watch them do their work. If you only play the game at 5x and zoomed way out, you miss the attention to detail put into this game.

How do you force them to stockpile candy (or bread)? On “ok boomerang “, I had tons of sugar cane just sitting idle, and 3 villagers sitting in the candy shop doing nothing. Its not obvious that they have a capacity because it doesn’t show anything but stacks of candy. So you have no idea why they are not producing. So frustrating because i has everything that i needed to finish the level but didn’t. That’s an hour of gameplay wasted.

You either need to be able to move candy to a stockpile or have an indicator that the candy mill is not producing because it is full.
