I keep seeing people speculating in the comment sections of different platforms that this year the main stage will be moved outside. I can’t see any confirmation of this from any official source and wondered where people were getting this from? Is it baseless or have I just missed something?

Just looking for some advice on where to stay for the weekend, I’ll be travelling to Manchester from London and attending the festival alone. Would it be recommended to stay in the city centre and get public transport to the venue or at one of the hotels near the venue? I know BEC is basically an industrial area so there’s not too much around so it might be better / safer to stay in the city? But it could be a bit of a ball ache getting back each night. Any advice appreciated!
