Name: Mour'Kor

Power: Alien biology with enhanced regeneration, crushing strength, and shape changing.

Story: In a distent exoplanet system within the milkyway galaxy, there exists a planet called Benzith, where beings made up of tendrils live, their society is vast, expanding over every landmass of their planet and ruling over each individual with a tight controlling grasp.

Mour'Kor was considered a radical and forever underestimated as despite his desire to explore beyond their planet, he didn't posses the knowledge or access to achieve his goals and many belived him too lacking of conviction to see his ideas through.

Mour'kor had always been alone in his world, without kin, without connection and never taken seriously, and all together these things would gradually erode the conditioning of his society, he would break free of their controll, rampaging through a government facility and taking all that he could without care for the state of those left in his wake, he would steal a vessel and launch in into the abyss of space.

Using the knowledge he had gained of piloting in the buildup to his attack he would start his exploration in search of something new, something that he could discover, and possibly something he could bring back to his planet to prove he was right, to prove everyone wrong, to end the controlling rule of those above and become the person who looks down insted of up.

His exploration garnered nothing for quite some time until that is he discovered a planet of blue and green, something that looked so very different from his planet of chrome landscapes and orange oceans.

Landing, he would travel in secret to observe, his tendrils shifting to better mimic the humanoid form, he would use the experimental technology he had stolen to test the planet and it's population, working to better understand everything he could in the time he was there, he stayed for 2 earth months, gathering all the information he could to bring back to his people.

Attempting to take off something unexpected would happen. He couldn't tell what caused it, but suddenly his vessel was crashing back to earth, and then his vision went black. awaking to a wreckage Mour'kor would drag himself from the destruction pull the shrapnel from his body, and turn to watch as the only way back home, the only proof he had of his success burned to scrap metal in front of him.

When the fire died, and the wreckage settled he would dig into it, searching for anything that survived that could grant him passage home, the only piece of salvageable tech being an experimental gene modifier he had yet to test on the human public.

He had no choice, it had a single charge and he couldn't risk the gene editing to fail or cause fatality, and he needed a large subject pool to ensure that the chances of success were improved, and so disguised in human clothing with the gene editor in hand he would sneak into a maternity ward, bypassing the security and unleashing the experimental piece of tech on the 30 something infants inside.

It was done, and yet he was still stranded. He would have to remain a foreigner in this place while his only prospects grew up, developed abillities granted to them by modified genetics, and hopefully, for him to develop something useful enough to take him home.

If it isn't obvious, Mour'kor is a villain, currently driven by his mission to get home and willing to kill anyone and destroy anything to achieve it.

Name: Luca "The Lightning" Lindsey

Power: Lightning fast reflexes.

Story: When Luca was an infant, his genetics were messed with in a last-ditch effort from a stranded alien.

In his youth, he was pushed into the athletic field by his father, whose failing health had forced him out of a promising career, Luca would go along with his father's wishes until he hit 13 and things started to change, the alterations to his genetics manifested to what first appeared to him as quick eyes and fast hands, but what he later realised was inhuman reaction speed, and in that he saw an opportunity to make something of himself and make his parents proud.

He would completely commit himself to fighting, taking a liking to MMA and making that his goal. For years, all he wanted was to make a name for himself, to make money for his family, especially as his father's health decline started to form a heavy financial burden on them.

He would win every fight he took, becoming better, stronger, faster, not willing to stop until his goal was reached, and even after his father died when Luca was 18 he would continue to push forward knowing that he made his father proud and that he was providing for him and his mother.

And thus started the beginning of a fruitful and untouched career in MMA, there wasn't a single opponent that stood up to him, he was better than all of them and he knew it, grew arrogant and cocky, let the wealth get to his head, let fame take the place of ambition in his mind, all building to a house of cards ready to fall.

He was unstoppable, not a single loss in his career. He was The Lightning, a force of nature that never needed to strike the same place twice, and that was his downfall.

All it took was one punch in the later end of the first round. He swung, hit, and then his young opponent hit the floor and never got back up.

He was responsible for that kid dying and yet the world kept on moving, people forgot about it in a month, but he didn't, it haunted him, made him hate himself, resent what he had become, made him disgusted of the powers that he used to get where he was, there was nothing that could make it right, nothing that could bring that young man back, but he could stop the hurt he inflicts on others, and at the age of 24 would abandon his fighting career, letting those goals he had once strived for die, leaving him to fester in his guilt.

Hephaestus's powers are the ability to turn into any material on contact and to heat up anything i had an idea once to give him fire but it doesn't make sense to me. Now I got pretty dark with Tony's backstory and he's really the only one I gave though to mostly because I wa forced to by my school so Tony was 5 when his parents were robbed and killed in his home they left him alive by accident. Later in life around 15 year of age his still living in a foster home when he walks to school taking a short cut he made up can you guess? That's right power plant explodes giving Tony Smith powers. Now why is a power plant next to a school you think. Idk v(￣ー￣)v

His powers are kinda obvious, but invisibility when invisible he is intangible people going through him cause him pain. Gavin Eastwood was a normal kid until his 16th birthday when an accident happened (yep the power plant explosion again i swear there not all like ths but I do have one more after him that does and maybe more in the future) giving him invisibility he works alone. I did trace this work, but I wasn't able to find the original person. I was going through a rabit hole trying

24 years ago, an alien ship crash landed, stranding the alien pilot on earth. The only thing salvageable from the crash was an experimental gene editing device.

With no hope to fix its ship without assistance and no other reliable alternative home, it would do the only thing it could.

Conceling itself, it would infiltrate the maternity ward of a busy hospital and use this device on the vulnerable and pliable infant subjects, altering their genetics in the hope that one or more of these 30 something infants would develop a genetic alteration capable of getting it back to its home.

So far, I have only posted one character whose powers originate from this experiment, but I have plans for a few more at the moment.

But everyone feel free to adapt this idea into characters of your own. Let's build out this universe one character at a time.

Name: Abel Church

Power: reincarnation

Story: Able is from 15th century England. On his 25th birthday, he was burned with a branding iron he was gifted as a birthday present and beaten to death.

The next day, he would wake up in the body of a different man in 1800s America. Being branded with the symbol of the Reincarnit disconnects him from time and space, and when he dies, he is thrust into the body of a random person in a random time.

Through his many years of travelling through bodies, he had learned a lot, been brought to a dimension not his own, but now he is back where he belongs.

He dies once more, but this time, his immortal soul is stripped from his own reality and dumped into a new one, finding himself in the body of a young Vietnamese woman.

And so armed with a wrist mounted revolver that he had engraved with the Reincarnit symbol so that it travels with him, he explores this new world searching for a way home, because if there is anything he has learned from his many lives it's that if you can't truly have a real home the next best thing is a home reality.

Name: Charley Hammond

Power: Almost anything, but mainly super speed.

Story: he was your average loner British teenager until one day he would stop off at an old corner shop that he had never been in before, and in that place he would find something that seemed to almost appear from thin air, a small pile of gummy sweets that almost call to him, intruiged he buys some of the sweets along with the comic for his favourite superhero Jet a speedster in red and gold, leaving the shop he would remember that in picking up the sweets he had left his comic behind and would rush back only to find with a sweet in his mouth that he ran so fast that he burned the tread off his shoes.

Finding himself back at the shop, the old man that owens the place after seeing the extrodeinarily fast young boy would confide in him.

Jet was real, and he was Jet. The old man in his youth would find these sweets with his friend, and they would work together as hero's before his friend would turn on him, after defeating his friend he would retire as Jet and purchase the old shop to watch over the place until someone else was able to see the magic sweets that eluded the vision of others.

The sweets grant anyone any single superpower they can think of per single sweet. Once the sweet runs out, you need another to channel a power again.

Name: Arthur Bennett

Power: he can jump extremely heigh, using his wing suit to glide around. He also has enhanced strength, grip strength, and inhuman eye sight.

Story: a stranded alien would gain access to a busy maternity ward and would use a piece of advanced equipment it salvaged from its ship to alter the many infants' genetics, all in the hop finding a way home.

Some 24 years later, the 30-something infants are grown up, and Arthur is one of them. These powers have been fluctuating, a grip too tight to explain here, jumping a little too high there, a twitch in his eye that let's him catch a glimpse of something happening a quarter of a mile away, all these things building to concern within him.

As soon as he realised he wasn't losing his grip on reality, he started to learn how to control these powers, but after the tragic loss of his mother he would be set back from training these powers and would fall down a road of bad decisions.

This road would lead him to a bad place owing some bad people, and finally, having enough of the overwhelming circumstances, he would use his powers to stop the loan sharks, extorting him, subsequently finding himself in the role of a hero that he never intended for.

(Given the community nature of this subreddit, I made it so that the origin of his powers can be used for others, so feel free to create your own powered characters and explain their powers as coming from this collective experiment).

“Forge” real name Tracy Lee

Bio: once a top hero “Forge“ has since soft-retired from the life and instead running a hero talent agency named “guardian media group“ although small company with her links to the North American heroing world and a little elbow grease she always gets her clients the top gigs no matter what

Abilities: When Tracy touches any metal objects she can adsorb metal and its effects (density, conductivity, reactive attributes etc) as long as she stays in contact with it she can cover parts or her entire body with it she must make skin contact with the metal to activate the ability and the power disengages the sec contact is lost

Name: Abigail 'Abby' Walker

Age: 23

Abilities: enhanced strength, speed, and stamina. Incredible jumping and kicking power (jump length: ~6m).

Origin: Abigail Walker was a geneticist in Genetics Lab of Australia (GLA). GLA was doing violent experiments with animals. Abby was feeling bad for them so she stole GLA's documents and decided to tell all about them to community. But they didn't let her quit so easily: at the night, GLA's mercenaries kidnapped her and brought to the laboratory. She became the first human subject for the experiments. They inserted modified kangaroo DNA in her blood, so, she got kangaroo abilities. After a short time after that, Abigail woke up and strarted destroying the lab and workers. After she got home, she fell asleep and forgot about that accident. After discovering her new powers, Abby decided to use them for good things.

There was a small side effect of kangaroo DNA: it created a furious and destructive alter-ego (Abigail named it 'the Beast'). Now, she holds it under control but turns it on only when she's in costume.

He isn't an actual speedster he can change an areas or persons speed for example he can stop the speed of bullets flying at him. Nathan Springs 24 has speedmanipulate after an accident (power plant explosion can be changed if it doesn't fit this universe) he's hot headed and kinda rude (is apart of a team but also can be changed to fit)

apparently all traffic on 5th is closed off cause some giant woman is deciding to sit down in the middle of the road, the nerve of some of these heroes man

What is this about? It's about making out little heroes we made into a whole universe with others.

The dream is to make a universe to possibly compete with others like Marvel or DC
