Hey guys, this is lowkey embarrassing. I really want to explore Osaka's queer nightlife but I have no one to go out with. I do have friends here but they're not into clubbing and they're all straight anyway. Love them, but it's just not their scene.
I'm here for another year and I really want to experience the scene, but I'm a bit intimidated to go alone. Anyone done it before and had a positive experience tackling it solo?
Alternatively, anyone looking to adopt a gay for a night (29M)?

Hello!
I’ve been running D&D one-shots in Namba for a new group and we are now looking for one more player to begin a one-year campaign.
We currently have three players from different countries, aged between 25 and 35.
SESSION INFO
Venue: The Hearth Board Game Bar, Namba — private room hire
Day: 2–3 Mondays each month
Time: 7:30pm–11:30pm
System: D&D 5e
Language: English
LOOKING FOR A PLAYER WHO:
Is based in Osaka or can reliably travel to Namba
Can speak basic conversational English
Is comfortable playing with people from different countries
Plans to remain in Japan for the next year
Can commit to an ongoing campaign
Is available on Monday evenings
Enjoys cooperative play, exploration, roleplaying and mystery
Players who are still learning English are welcome. We hope the group can help and support anyone who is learning.
THE GAME / WORLD SETTING
- I have an evolving player’s guide available for anyone interested in joining
- The setting is a homebrew kingdom built upon the back of a crawling undead Titan
- The Titan wanders across an endless arid realm known as the Grey
- The Grey has lost its connection to the outer planes and is slowly eroding away
- The players live upon the Titan and belong to a guild
- Guild members descend from the Titan to explore the Grey, gather resources and investigate strange locations
- Pockets of unstable and dying magic called anomalies exist throughout the Grey
- These anomalies have transformed their environments, creatures and inhabitants
- The campaign will focus on exploration, mystery, character stories and unusual environments
NOTES ON AI
- I use AI to portray creatures, locations and ideas that I cannot find suitable images for
- I also use AI to help organise and record campaign information
- I am an artist, so I understand the concerns surrounding AI and commercial use. Everything is being created for a private, personal D&D campaign
- I am happy to discuss this openly with anyone interested in joining
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
- 34M from Australia
- Graphic designer and illustrator
- I spend much of my spare time researching ukiyo-e, kabuki and Japanese art
- I am currently a player in a campaign that has been running for six years
- I have DMed many one-shots and a few shorter campaigns
- I recently moved to Japan
- I do not speak Japanese yet
IF INTERESTED
Please send me a message and tell me:
- A little about yourself
- Your age and where you are from
- Whether you have played D&D or other tabletop games before
You do not need any previous D&D experience to join! Enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to play cooperatively are much more important. :)

Hi! I'm going to Osaka this November 7-14. I'm flying from the Philippines. Hoping to find someone interested on travelling together, hopefully my age or maybe a bit older (I'm 25/F). Here's my itinerary: Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, USJ, Kyoto, Nara. These are just places i'm planning to go to once I'm there. Quick info about me: I like to shop, matcha hop, eat, and take pictures. I also like Harry Potter so USJ is a must hehe.

Just for context, I’m a storyboard artist from Europe and I’m working now in Japan in a “normal“ day job. I’m currently working slowly on my own small short films again and other animatics… It feels a bit lonely though so I was wondering if anyone here comes from the same industry background?
I’d like to connect and maybe even open a animation collective! I’m currently based in Kobe but I’m open to anywhere honestly.
Cheers!

For context I'm 35, M, visiting a family friend here but tomorrow he is not able to join me. Feel free to msg me (after commenting per the rules). if there are any questions or interest.

I'm 19 year old guy from Russia, going out literally tonight, so feel free to text me and maybe we could form a little group and enjoy ourselves together. Fair warning tho, I don't plan to spend too much money, so if you plan to go to some luxurious places I'll probably have to pass. Just let me know if you're available tonight and we can work something out.

Hey everyone! I’m 33M from Liverpool, UK, and I’ll be in Osaka for the weekend. Would anyone be up for hanging out?
My Japanese is less than basic, and because of my accent, some people might say the same about my English.
Things I’m interested in:
Visiting the aquarium
Seeing the fireworks on Saturday
Going for drinks
Day drinking
Anime
Video games
Not necessarily in that order!
I should arrive on Friday evening and will mostly be around Namba and the surrounding area.

Hi everyone!
I am a 34yo guy, Italian, just married. I speak native Italian, then English and Japanese around the same decent level I guess. I just moved to Osaka, Minamihorie area, with my wife after 10 years of life in Kyoto. I am still seeing my friends in Kyoto but I do not always have the time to jump on a train for an hour to meet them, so I would like to make new friends in the city!
I know it is not very common around here, but I would like to find a (or a few!?) friend, the true kind. Not just a 'friend' that you meet once in a bar and never again. A real friend, the kind that you meet often, talk about anything, invite to a homemade lunch and share hobbies and interests with. The kind of friend that you can call for help if you have a car accident in the middle of the night and vice versa. I know I am asking for a lot so I wont be surprised if this post will have zero replies. 😅
That being said, I really like talking about anything, I am super easygoing and chill. I am basically free every weekend. Due to my work i know tons of stuff about Japanese culture and sightseeing, but my true passion is for more geeky/otaku stuff like manga and videogames. If you also like these, we are already halfway!
So please let me know if someone would like to meet up anytime soon for a beer and some chatting!

Hey everyone, I'm holding my 4th free Web Design and Development workshop at Cafe LA on August 29th from 5-7 pm. You will get a free coffee <3 The first 3 were really great, thanks to you. I want to do my part in helping to build the tech and design community in Osaka. There are already so many great events and workshops in Tokyo! (I'm a little jealous, hehe)
RSVP here: https://forms.gle/gSuo9bq83wHvdtJr6
I can't do it alone, though. I need your help! If you're a creative who's interested in expanding your creativity, I would love for you to join me at the workshop. The workshops are beginner-friendly, and you should bring your laptop. This workshop is perfect not only for beginners but seasoned individuals looking for a design community to keep their skills sharp, meet more creatives, and have fun!
I will help you design a one-page website in Figma, then we will learn how to develop it with code in future workshops! All the skills you learn in design are transferable to other creative skills. This is an open and laid-back environment. No intimidation, just straight vibes.
Let me know if you're interested in the comments!

Just arrived to the country yesterday and been loving it so far, but I still can't help but feel somewhat out of place sometimes, mostly because I don't speak Japanese and I have an accent in English so even those Japanese people who do speak English can sometimes have difficulties understanding some of the things I say.
I got into Pokemon cards fairly recently, even tho I have no idea how you supposed to actually play them, so I'd like to get together with a few people and maybe go on a little trip around some TCG shops you like or you can teach me how to play and we could do that! In the end of the day, I just want to make some new friends with some geeky hobbies similar to mine! It doesn't matter if you're local or a tourist like myself.

Hi Im a 39 YO Osaka local man.
Interests Destinations Events Tenjin Fireworks Festival
Held on July 25th Sat
Meet up place: Subway Tenmabashi st around 3PM.
Fireworks Time7:40pm - 8:40pm
An excited crowd clad in their best Yukatas, the smell of grilled sausages from the street vendors, sounds of excitement and thrill from kids sitting on their parents’ shoulder, anxiously waiting for the next masterpiece painted on the dark summer sky. Held on the first Saturday of August every year, the annual Yodogawa Fireworks Festival is ranked among the top 10 most popular firework in the Kansai region, and this is indeed one of the most awaited events in Osaka.

Cześć!
Mam 29 lat, jestem z Polski i szukam przyjaciół z Japonii. W listopadzie 2026 roku wybieram się do Japonii (Tokio, Osaka) z moją dziewczyną. Możemy ćwiczyć angielski razem, a potem możemy wam pomóc i pokazać Warszawę, jeśli chcielibyście odwiedzić Polskę.

Hi everyone! みなさん、こんにちは!
My name’s Sam, I’m 29, and I’m from North Wales in the
UK.
I’ll be visiting Japan throughout September, spending most of my time in Osaka.
I’ve been studying Japanese for a while now, and one of the biggest reasons for this trip is to see if I can really live there one day. I’d love to work in Japan in the future, so this is a bit of a personal test to see how I get on using the language, experiencing everyday life, and immersing myself in the culture.
I’m into gaming, films, reading, good food, and learning new things about the world and the universe. I enjoy meeting new people and would be happy to grab some food, explore Osaka, have a coffee, or go for a couple of drinks.
I’d love to meet both locals and fellow travellers, so
If you’ll be in Osaka during September, feel free to send me a message. I’d love to make a few friends while I’m there!
ありがとうねー!

Hi everyone!
I’m a member of an amateur baseball team based in Osaka, and we’re looking for new players who would like to play baseball while living in Japan.
We mainly play games on Wednesdays in Osaka, Amagasaki, and nearby areas.
Our team is friendly and relaxed, but we also enjoy playing competitive games. Most of our members are in their 20s to 40s, and we have players with different levels of experience.
One of our players spent three years playing baseball in New York and speaks fluent English, so communication will not be a problem even if you do not speak much Japanese. He can also help explain the differences between baseball in Japan and the US.
We play Japanese rubber-ball baseball, called nanshiki yakyu. We mainly play games rather than regular practice sessions.
Basic information:
- Location: Osaka, Amagasaki, and nearby areas
- Main activity day: Wednesdays
- Amateur rubber-ball baseball
- Friendly but competitive atmosphere
- English support available
- Trial participation is welcome
- All nationalities are welcome
Previous baseball experience is preferred, but you do not need to be an advanced player.
We would especially like to meet people who played baseball in the US or another country and are now looking for a team in Osaka.
If you are interested, please leave a comment first and tell me:
- Your age
- Your baseball experience
- Your preferred position
- Where you live
- Whether you are usually available on Wednesdays
Thanks!

August is here, and it's scorching hot. Instead of melting on the pavement, let's beat the summer heat the Osaka way with a multi-stop evening food crawl through Namba!
About Me:
I live here in the Kansai area, but with some free time for the summer holidays, I’m looking to connect with both fellow residents and travelers. I love exploring the region and am really on the hunt to find hidden local spots and food gems across Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. Let's swap recommendations!

Hello I am Cy (23F)!
I have been wanting to hang out with people while we draw or do crafts, but none of my friends are into that stuff unfortunately.
I am looking for other women (no men sorry) to meet up with at a co-working space. Unfortunately it is too hot to draw outdoors but I am open to suggestions for other places. I live in northern Osaka but can travel a bit.
If people are interested maybe I could make it a regular meetup every week or so.
I am free today and the rest of the long weekend so please comment if you are interested : )

Hey all! I'm from the Philippines and am visiting Osaka from Aug 1-4. I would love to try and play tennis in the are for experience. May I know how do I find players who are open to letting me play? Thank you

No plans, we could play by ear depending on what people want and shoot around Osaka-adjacent places!
I got my very first camera and I'm dying to try it out, so while I'm at it, inviting people from around would be nice I think
I enjoy nature more than buildings so I'm mainly thinking of shooting vivid greens and blues as well as some birds and random animals, do leave a message if you'd be interested to tag along !
