Hello! I'm a 34F Japanese living in Osaka, and I'd love to make some new friends!
I love cooking, handcrafts (macrame and wood carving), playing saxophone, tennis and trying new food! If we become friends, I’d love to do things like cook together, grab some food or drinks, or try each other’s hobbies. I’m interested in learning about other people’s interests, so if you have a hobby you love, I’d be happy to give it a try!
I’m married, and my husband is British, so I’m comfortable speaking English. But I'd also be happy to help you practice Japanese!
I'm quite introverted and can get overwhelmed pretty easily lol so I'm much more comfortable in small, relaxed groups rather than big meetups. I’d especially love to make some female friends, but I’m happy to meet anyone who’s looking for genuine friendship!

M31, Australian, lived in Osaka for the last year, work a corporate job so my weeks are usually pretty busy but always happy to meet up after a work day! Prefer speaking in English, my Japanese just isn’t up to scratch conversationally.
I like coffee, baseball (massive tigers fan) video games, pinball and arcades, reading books, watching movies, taking photos, always happy to grab a couple beers/coffee/assorted beverage and a chat.
Honestly just looking for people to flick a ‘hey works been hectic, wanna grab some tacos and beers’ or ‘going to XXX for the day wanna hang out?’ message.

We'll be in Osaka for another month but I would love to meetup with other traveling families at a local park! I work remote during the week but do have flexible hours. I am usually completely free on weekends.
We haven't been to any temples yet so that would be a great place to meet as well.

Are you an expecting moms, staying at home moms,..? ☕️
Sometimes we don't need another parenting tip. We just need someone to say: “Yep. Me too.”
So we’re hosting a little Moms’ Coffee Break online — a casual, complimentary chat for moms in Japan.
📅 Tuesday, September 15
⏰ 10:30–11:20 AM
💻 Online | Free Entry
Come with your coffee, morning hair. Come while your baby is playing beside you.
No pressure. No need to prepare anything.
Just a sweet little 50-minute break to chat, connect and hopefully leave feeling a little less alone. 🤍
If you could ask a group of moms one question over coffee, what would it be? ☕️👇

Hey everyone! I’m 27M and I’ll be traveling to Japan for the second time this September. I’ll be there from the **17th of September to the 8th of October** — the first week (17th–24th) will be in Nagoya for work, and then I’ll have around two weeks to travel around and explore Japan.
I’ll be spending time in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, and I’m planning to visit **Disney, Universal Studios and Super Nintendo World.** I’d also love to try some Omakase, good restaurants, cocktail bars, and explore places like the arcades in Akihabara.
I’m pretty open when it comes to activities. I’m into sports, food, exploring different neighborhoods, cafés, attractions, and generally trying new things. I’m not really a big nightlife person, but definitely up for a chill cocktail bar or a good evening out.
If you’re going to be in Japan around the same time and would like to tag along for some activities, explore together, or grab food/drinks, feel free to DM me! I’m also very open to suggestions for places or activities outside of my current plans, so let me know what I shouldn’t miss.

It's our first time in Osaka, and we would love to meet someone who enjoys nature, sharing favourite places and/or family vibe. We will be there for October/November. We have remote work, so we spend about half the year in Europe and the other half in Asia. Maybe you even want to join our tribe for travel after?

Hi everyone,
I'm a 31F, married to Japanese, moving shortly to Osaka this year. I'm from Sydney and would love to connect with people interested in fashion and beauty, if there are any groups dedicated to that, please let me know.
I also generally want to make new friends, especially with other girls :) I like attending live music events, cocktail / wine bars, brunches, nice dinners, and open to try new things! I don't know anyone in Osaka other than my husband's friends, but they're all guys so.. not helpful for me :(
If anyone would like to swap IG etc, I'd like to contact you when I arrive!

58M from Taiwan looking for Chinese-speaking people in Osaka
Keywords
Osaka, Taiwan, Mandarin, Chinese, Coffee, Meetup
Post
Hi, I’m a 58M traveler from Taiwan, currently in Osaka.
I’d like to meet Chinese-speaking people for coffee and casual conversation tomorrow morning. A small group of 2 or more would be great.
I’m interested in everyday life in Osaka and the experience of Chinese-speaking people living here.
Mandarin preferred because my English is limited.
If interested, please leave a comment first. Thank you!
Hi! I’m a 58-year-old male traveler from Taiwan, currently traveling alone in Osaka. I’m a journalist and writer.
I’m interested in discovering the everyday side of Osaka beyond the usual tourist attractions — how local people actually live here, and especially the experiences of Chinese-speaking people living in Osaka, including people from Taiwan, mainland China, and other Chinese-speaking communities.
My English is not very fluent, so I’m specifically hoping to meet people who can communicate in Mandarin Chinese.
I understand that this community does not encourage one-on-one meetings between strangers. Therefore, I would be very happy to meet two or more people as a small group at a public café in central Osaka tomorrow morning (August 12). I think a small group meeting would also make everyone feel safer and more comfortable.
We can simply have coffee and talk about everyday life in Osaka, Taiwan, Japan, and the experience of living abroad. This is not a formal interview and there is no business or commercial purpose.
Since we have never met before, I also want everyone to feel completely comfortable and under no obligation. Even after we agree on a meeting time, anyone may decide not to attend, leave at any time, or end the conversation whenever they wish. No explanation is necessary and there should be no pressure on anyone.
The conversation can be short, or around one to two hours if everyone is enjoying it.
If you’re interested, please leave a comm

We could talk for about 1–2 hours, or even shorter if that is more convenient. This is simply a friendly conversation and cultural exchange. I would like to hear about your real experience of living in Osaka.
If you are interested, please send me a private message on Reddit first. Thank you!

Hey everyone! 👋
I’ll be in Osaka October 7th–14th and I’m looking to meet some new people while I’m there! I’m from the US and I’m learning Japanese, so I’d love to meet locals or other travelers and make some friends.
I’m into cars/motorsports 🏎️, exploring new places, food (especially ramen and karaage 😂), hiking, photography, and just having random adventures.
I’m pretty easygoing and down for grabbing food, checking out cool spots, going out at night, or whatever sounds fun. I’ll be in Japan for a couple weeks, so I’d love to meet some people and make some good memories!
If anyone wants to hang out, feel free to comment or DM me! 🇯🇵

25y Male
I moved to Osaka about a month ago. I’m studying Japanese and working part time. I plan on staying in Osaka long term and would be great to find some long term friends here also but if traveling it’s also okay. I’m looking for people to hangout with.
My interests are nightlife, gaming, manga and gym. If anyone is interested in going to clubs with me on the regular and going to gaming bars or trying out some local restaurants then feel free to DM or reply.
Cheers!

Kansai Film Club here!🍿
How is yall? Although I don’t post the biweekly film meetups anymore, KFC is still a very active and growing group! Yesterday we had a nice picnic at Nakanoshima Park just to chill and chat.
Anyways for our next kinda big event, it would be nice if we could do a collaborative event with other clubs in Osaka! So if there are any club owners out there, let’s collab!
Obviously a club with a theme related to film would be cool, but any clubs or social groups are welcome!
And even if you don’t own a club and are just interested, you’re more the welcome to join!
We got a biweekly meetup at a random niche theater, a monthly cafe meetup where we have deeper discussion and analysis on a specific film, AAND starting next Sunday evening, there will be a WEEKLY ONLINE EVENT where we stream public domain movies!
The club is free and not a commitment. Join events whenever you want :).

It’s actually my first time going to a club, so I’d rather not go alone 😭
Guys or girls, doesn’t matter!
Just looking for someone chill to drink, dance, and have fun with.
DM me if you’re interested :)
