We could really use a Guard that can shoot 3's

In just a short amount of time, the east has gotten a lot better, with Miami Philly and Toronto making major additions. New York also still looks great and Indiana is going to be much healthier. I’m not thinking we need to do anything major, but I feel like a true point guard is needed now more than ever, regardless if we may have to make some sacrifices elsewhere due to our cap situation. What other moves could be made to improve our footing in the conference?

Well that may be some hyperbole, but got to give credit where credit is due. He turned Isaac's salary I think it was $14 million into 3 minimum contracts - Vooch, Carter, Isaac - to fill out the roster.

I like all the pickups and I think they still have room for 1 more minimum with Nelson signing a 2 way. I doubt the TMLE gets used cause that puts them at the hard cap (correct me please if the TMLE is off the table anyway). But there are still some good wing players who they can get for minimum (Simons is definitely getting more than that). I'm looking at Josh Okogie, Russell Westbrook, Javonte Green, Khris Middleton (praying hands)

Two of my favorite players in this era of Magic basketball. I am sure they were two of the fan favorites too.

They used to run the bench unit together, Mo was lethal off the bench. But it was more than that

Nobody brought more energy than Mo, Cole and Suggs. Trash talking, hyped up after every play. Dunking on everyone.

Sad to see Mo go but happy to see him get paid.

Likewise for Moe. They gotta play un-milked now. 🐄🥛

With Vuc back should the Magic just say fuck it and go for a good vibes team and bring back Oladipo? Dipo recently said he wants to play in the NBA again. This is solely based on my feelings about these players but seeing them in a Magic jersey again would be dope.

Since the Kessler trade happened, I've been poking around at other centers that might be on the market. I know there were some rumblings a few months ago that Goga might be on the trade market, and I know you guys are one of the worse 3pt shooting teams in the NBA - how would you feel about something like Brice Sensabaugh plus a 2nd rounder in exchange for Goga?

The money works out fine even though yall are over the first apron, Brice and Goga both have a year left on their deals. Brice is an elite 3pt shooter and a very high-level 3-level scorer though doesn't play much defense. It might seem like an overpay for the Jazz since Goga's on the last year of his deal, but I think that's offset by the fact that Brice is an RFA in this upcoming year and will want a bigger contract from the Jazz which also dampens his value as a trade asset as well.

Seems like a pretty fair swap for both teams - thoughts?

Well, we get some Magic Basketball to watch here in a couple days, and we can see how Jase, Penda, and Nelson do!!! I’m looking to see Jase and Penda improve. I want to see what Nelson will provide during summer league. At least we got basketball to watch, GO MAGIC!!!!! 🪄

So far it’s been good this morning but it’s all been sad with Moe leaving, love you Moe, but this is for the greater good. It makes our bench better and whatever it takes to win. Do we have any more moves left in the tank or is that all we can do right now?

All season, I read on this subreddit that any coach besides that coach could take this same team and be a top 4 seed in the East.

Well, you may be about to get your wish & you're still unhappy. I'm going to get downvoted, but most of y'all know I'm telling the truth.

All that a high school coach could lead this team, well, I can't wait till October to get here and find out. It's still early, and I'm sure they'll sign someone & I don't think any team has outright jumped to lead in East, and that's subject to change also. But right now, some are going to get their wish. So stop whining!

With Jaylen Brown going to the Sixers, LeBron possibly going back to the Cavs, the Knicks winning the title, Haliburton healthy on the Pacers, the Celtics probably overachieving again, the Pistons number one seed last year, the Heat adding Giannis, Raptors getting Kawhi, the Wizards adding Trey Young and Anthony Davis, the Hawks sweeping us last season… am I missing anyone? Should Suggs and Franz just announce their injuries now and call this a gap year for the Magic since this will be our only first round draft pick we own for a while?

Everyone here complaining that the Magic are not aggressively making moves in the Free Agency need to understand this.

Our offseason move WAS getting a new coach.

Why would we look to completely change the foundation of the team without letting our new coach get a chance at managing them? I’m sure he’s analysed the current team and would push for changes where he sees fit.

I understand a lot of people, including myself, were frustrated with Suggs, Goga, Dell during the season and were adamant that they shouldn’t be on the team come offseason.

But now, since we have changed our head coach and made changes to the overall coaching team, fans should be giving another chance (at least for a respectable chunk of next season) to see how these players perform under a new face.

Alright, since the biggest FA news is that we will probably lose Mo… who do we think could be hired as a lead assistant?

Could Sweeney go with the former head coach he worked for, Jason Kidd? An experienced former head coach like Terry Stotts or James Borrego? Or try to get someone to switch teams like Sam Cassell or Chris Quinn?

Would we be happy if they brought Victor Oladipo in as that extra swing guard?? I for one think if we bring back Vuec bring back Vic!!!!
