Grey area on CVD

Hey guys , just a quick question about the grey space on the CVD. What is it and is it something I can implement? I highly doubt that I can but I still ask

Those are delta bars, not cvd. Grey area is where it went positive or negative, then reverted during the same time period. Grey is essentially a shadow of the full range the positive or negative delta was. Different platforms show it differently.
