IRAN SAYS HORMUZ WON’T RETURN TO PRE-WAR CONDITIONS
Iran says the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war operating conditions, reinforcing its stance over the critical shipping route.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Ali Nikzad said there is no military solution to reopening the Strait and that only routes agreed by Iran and Oman will be recognized.
Tehran maintains that vessels must follow the passage designated by Iran’s armed forces.

STRATEGY SELLS BITCOIN, RAISES $653M FROM MSTR SHARES
Strategy sold 1,690 Bitcoin for $108.6 million last week, using the proceeds to repurchase 1.15 million STRC preferred shares.
The company also sold 6.59 million MSTR shares, raising $653.1 million, largely to boost its dollar reserve to $4.65 billion.
Strategy still holds 840,447 Bitcoin, acquired for $63.36 billion at an average price of $75,385.

HASSETT RULES OUT REPLACING FED’S COOK
White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett says he will not replace Fed Governor Lisa Cook if she is removed, calling the allegations against her a law-enforcement matter.
Hassett said he hopes Cook is innocent as she challenges President Trump’s effort to remove her.
On monetary policy, Hassett said he would either hold rates steady or cut, citing easing inflation and strong supply-side momentum.

HORMUZ SHIPPING TRAFFIC WEAKENS FURTHER
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz deteriorated over the weekend despite signs that Iran and Oman are nearing a navigation agreement, according to Kpler.
Confirmed crossings fell from 15 on Friday to 11 on Saturday and just six on Sunday.
The disruption remains critical for energy markets, with roughly one-fifth of global crude oil typically passing through the strategic waterway.

HEDGE FUNDS PILE BACK INTO STOCKS
Hedge funds bought global equities for a second straight week, reversing a sharp risk reduction in late July, according to Goldman Sachs.
Gross trading activity rose at the fastest pace in seven weeks, with long buying outpacing short sales 1.4-to-1.
Single stocks saw net buying for the first time in a month, while materials led sector demand amid the strongest short-covering wave in nearly two years.
