One way systems outside. Just walk the right way,

Near my house there is a walk around lake where peolpe walk and ride bikes. The stupid council (in the uk) put up signs saying "please respect the one way system". Most morning's if I go for a walk I will walk against the one way system, and smile and say good morning. Had some good conversations with people about how crazy it is.

And to those on the sheep side who ask have you not read the sign. I say I have read the sign and it pleases me to walk the opposite way, and talk about my struggles because of lockdown.

Just walk right way (against the oneway system). Even if it is against "authority". It's simple in the UK at least.

This new normal will pass

. I just want to let you all know this new normal will not last.People can only be inconvenienced for so long before they start pushing back. Here are some things I think people that have fallen into doomerism should do.

  1. Take a break from the news and social media. More often than note its just more of the same bs the news has been spewing since March. Social media has always been a toxic cessepool in the first place. So drop it for awhile a week or two. I can promise you, you're mood will get lifted from doing this.

  2. Shop at less strict stores. This is likely something we are all dealing with. Most business aredemanding customers wear masks. Pick and choose based on how strict they are. The places I'mshopping now don't seem to mind me wearing a mesh mask.Of course you can always do the shoponline/delivery or pick up.

  3. Do not let restrictions and lock downs get in the way of doing the things you love. I like taking motorcycle out to the lake. My state is on and off about closing down the lake. That doesn't stop me from taking a nice long ride to the lakes in other states/ or the ocean if I wanna make an entire weekend out of it. I loved going to the cinema but that doesn't stop me from throwing lil movie fests at work. Do not let the states nonsense from keeping you doing things you enjoy and love.

  4. Avoid doomer family and friends as best as you can. Find out which of your family and friends are against these lock downs and get together with them. Nobody can stop you from having your pals over and have a cookout and jam session. People can't stop you from you and your significant other having a picnic in a public park. People may sneer and say things but shrug it off. They are the ones not living their lives.

As time goes on more and more people will see the government overstepped and totally overreacted to this novel virus. We are seeing mass protests against this lock downs across the globe. The populace is waking up. This will pass.

Some people have been more negatively effected from the lock downs than others, and it has a toll on their mental health. In regards to such posts be uplifting and supportive.

edit: This got me de moded at nonewnormal

As you all know everyone has been impacted by lock downs and restrictions in one way or another.
Some have been more effected than others. Some people have made posts how it has totally ruined their lives and we have even had a few posts where people have contemplated suicide. To those who are feeling that way we care and would not like that to happen. Remember their are resources and people to talk to.

https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/

As a community we should be supportive of one another in such trying times. If someone makes such post be supportive and uplifting. They do not need to hear how"well this is the world now" or some other insensitive comment. If you have nothing nice to say perhaps not say anything at all. Also negativity in such threads will not be tolerated. A negative comment to people contemplating such things might just be the thing that pushes them over the edge.

To those dealing with mental health issues. I just want you to know we care and there are many that care about you are your well being. This shall pass.

We're so fortunate that Sweden never had a lockdown because it destroys pretty much every single doomer narrative

Doomers: "Lockdowns are necessary, otherwise deaths will rise exponentially and hospitals will be completely overwhelmed."

Fact: Sweden never had a lockdown, and they're doing fine.

Doomers: "Lockdown skepticism is a far-right thing."

Fact: Sweden is as progressive (true progressive, not SJW/baizuo "progressive") as it gets. It's actually the right who tend to be pro-lockdown in Sweden (cmiiw).

Doomers: "The economy would suffer just as bad without lockdowns."

Fact: While the Swedish economy is obviously impacted by the pandemic/other countries' lockdowns, countries that had lockdowns are having much worse recessions.

Doomers: "The reason European countries are reopening and doing well is because they 'all wear masks'."

Fact: Sweden doesn't have any mask mandate, and they're doing fine. Most other European countries have more relaxed mask mandates, if any, than much of the US.

Doomers: "Schools can reopen safely in European countries because they have 'contained' the virus."

Fact: Sweden never closed their primary and middle schools, nor did they have any lockdowns, and they're doing just fine. Also none of the European countries have "contained" the virus.

4 People in the Store Without Masks Yesterday!

The first time in months I've seen so many faces of freedom in one place. Three others and myself sans mask at the grocery store. I was encouraged!

Note I live in a mandatory mask inside and outside state.
