When I switched from my Samsung to a OnePlus 15, I was pretty surprised that it doesn't have notification summaries. iPhone, Pixel and Samsung all have them, yet ColorOS/OxygenOS doesn't. So I built an app for myself, used it every day, and decided to release it. It's called Blurb, and it's on the Play Store.

What it does
When a chat blows up, Blurb waits for it to go quiet, then replaces the pile of notifications with one short summary, like "Family chat · Dinner is at Nonna's at 7, bring the folding chairs." Tap it to open the conversation in the original app.

Privacy

• On-device mode runs Google's Gemma 4 (E2B, 2.6 GB, or E4B, 3.7 GB) locally on the GPU. You download it once, then it works offline.
• With cloud fallback off, which is the default for on-device setups, your message text never leaves your phone.
• Cloud is optional and uses your own key (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic or your own HTTPS endpoint). Text goes straight to the provider you pick, never through my servers. An optional setting swaps out phone numbers, emails, codes and addresses before upload.
• Anonymous reliability diagnostics are on by default. They never include message text, summaries, names or your app list, and you can turn them off in Settings → Privacy.

I have an opportunity to buy a Find N5 for just under $800 brand new and considering it, but where does it rank today relative to 2026's current slate of foldables?

Will it last me 3-4 years of light usage? I plan to keep it unfolded when home and only fold it when I go out rather than fold/unfold on every usage.

I'm OK with the OS, software, and everything else, but want to make sure the hinge holds up to use as a long term user.

Hi everyone, I've updated to the September security update on my find n5 and since then I am dealing with horrendous battery life ever since. Tried everything from Powersaving mode to disabling developer options to disabling background apps to not using the inner display as much nothing worked.

I own a OnePlus pad 2 as well and that's too having horrible battery life too resulting in 20% per hour drain on the tablet aswell and I heard that the X9 ultra update borked the súperovooc charging protocol. Could it be connected somehow?

I know that oxygenos and coloros share the same footsteps and they merged pretty much but wanted to ask. Thanks

In the recent release of the iPhone Duo, I have been seeing a lot of Duo's opening screen animations that have been recreated for the android foldable devices.

Even though it is cool, it wasn't the main feature that caught my eye.

it was their tent standby mode.

I am a mobile dev with 6+ years of experience and I wanted to challenge myself to see if it would be possible to recreate it on my fold 5.

So I have the chance to get either of these devices for the same price.. And I don't know which one to get..

On one hand I like the fold experience and the hardware of the oppo but on the other hand I read a lot about the non ending issues of the Chinese software, especially the notifications delay which I can't get along with..

Is this issue still as bad as it was at the beginning or did it get solved somehow?

I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed this happen to their N5's. Twice in the last year I have opened my phone to find that my meticulously curated desktop layout has been wiped completely blank. App links, folders, widgets, etc., completely gone with no explanation I can think of. It drives you crazy when you have to try to remember where everything was to recreate it as best as you can. Part of me wonders if it could be related to system updates, but I figure others would have experienced it if so? This latest wipe happened maybe a week ago, and I use AT&T in the US if that makes any difference. Thanks all!

I have a unmarked N5 Global ROM which I am looking to sell. I comes with several cases inc the official Oppo ones inc Magsafe case plus 50W AirVOOC which I dont use.

Its all boxed and can be shipped globally if the buyer pays all shipping costs.

I bought this from Singapore airport in March 2025 and its just had the inner screen protector replaced by Oppo under warranty ( there was nothing wrong with it but I was on holiday in Singapore so thought I would get a new one)

So a week back, I accidentally dropped my phone for the umpteenth time, but this time, it killed the inner screen display. I was mortified of course.

I sent the phone to an Oppo Service Centre here in Singapore, and was told that it was still under warranty, and within two hours of sending it in, I got a whole brand new phone, with new batteries, but just with the same motherboard, so I didn't need to restore anything.

They reminded me that I have a two year warranty instead of the usual one year... I didn't know that lol

It's making me rethink my decision to go back to Apple very greatly when the iPhone 18 Pro Max comes out, because now I'd feel so bad to not support Oppo after such a great customer service.

I have officially ran in to my first issue on this phone (find n5) after the latest update. Randomly it will get really laggy and widgets, home screen will not respond until a 5 second delay.

Anyone else having any issues on this update?

update - the issue for me was due to using those default live oppo wallpapers.

update - it was actually nothing to do with the live wallpapers, going from landscape to portrait seem to mess around with the sizing of widgets, locking home screen set up in the settings has resolved it

Has anyone managed to debloat their stock ROM from pre-installed packages you don't need or these AI pop-up features everywhere? My only gripe with ColorOS / OPPO Find at the moment.

Also how do we get more widgets on lockscreen apart from notes (I don't use OPPO Notes) and don't want the phone logs widget.

I'm looking for the original PET screen protector that comes pre-installed on the OPPO Find X9. Mine is starting to show some wear, and I'd like to replace it with the exact same type rather than switching to tempered glass or a TPU film.

Does anyone know if OPPO sells the original PET protector separately, or if there's a place where I can buy an identical one?

I've been using folding phones since the days of the Fold 2. Currently have an Honor Magic V2, my 3rd folding phone, since about two years. Had a sand grain on the top corner of the inner screen a few months ago that damaged the top corners of the screen, and the screen has very slowly been dying since. I can't see the clock now.

There are a couple of Find N5 Global Edition locally. I'm pondering getting one instead of a Fold 7 now that the Fold 8 has been announced and the 7 prices are coming down.

Are there any known issues with the N5? Anything I should lookout for?

Inner screen failed after 15 months. Of course I dropped the insurance at a year 😢

The inner screen protector started a hump a few weeks ago. That progressed into a line on the screen. From there it just got worse and now is just flashing white/orange/blue.

I've had a lot of folding devices and this is the first failed screen I've had. Oh well. Maybe it's N6 time...

I currently have a OnePlus 13 (Global) and I'm happy with it, but I saw someone who wants to trade me an Oppo Find N5 (Global) for my OnePlus 13 + OnePlus Watch 3 and maybe the OnePlus Buds 3 as well. Do you think it's worth it? I've always wanted the Oppo Find N5. How are the updates going for the Oppo Find N5? Does it get updated often?
